Bungie has officially confirmed that a prestige version of the Leviathan raid will arrive in Destiny 2 next week. But while the much harder version of the activity will provide players with a much tougher challenge to really test their mettle, it will also provide additional lore content. The new lore details are scattered across the class items of the prestige raid loot. The Titan gear explains that Ghaul used to be a gladiator and was famed for his movement, his unusual markings, and his “determination” as no opponent was too big or too strong for the warlord....

Publisher Activision denies claims that it will be rewarded Bungie stock if the developer does not deliver Destiny 2 in time for its 2017 release date. Earlier this week, Activision gave fans their first hints towards Destiny 2 as part of an annual earnings call. During the call, publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg talked about Bungie’s vision for the game – including a cinematic story filled with new characters – while also confirming that the title would release in 2017....

Destiny 2 is said to have a cinematic story campaign with memorable characters, something that many fans would agree was a missing component from Destiny 1. Destiny 2’s big baddie, Dominus Ghaul, is getting all the attention in the game’s trailers so far, but according to Bungie, there’s another villain character behind the scenes of Ghaul’s aggressive tactics. That character is known as the Consul. Likely another member of the Cabal, Destiny 2 project lead Mark Noseworthy describes the Consul “like the coach on the sidelines while the Olympic runner is getting gold....

Destiny 2 arrives on PC later today, after PC players spent several years hoping for their chance to play Bungie’s first-person shooter series without having to buy a console. After we beat the final boss in Darksiders 3, it showed some cut-scenes, and then the game transitioned to one of its many loading screens. One minute turned to two. Two turned to three. And after waiting five minutes, it became apparent that Darksiders 3 was perpetually stuck on its loading screen, forcing us to close out of the game completely and redo the last boss fight to see the rest of the ending....

The character of Darth Maul has been hailed as a standout ever since his first appearance in Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and it seems as if that enthusiasm has only grown since then. Even now, a single Instagram post seems to have ignited endless speculation on the character’s future. Actor Ray Park, best known as the physical actor behind Darth Maul throughout the Star Wars series (though the character is always voiced by someone else, even in live action), recently made a rather cryptic post on Instagram that immediately caught the eyes of Maul fans....
