It’s no secret that Destiny 2’s Trials of the Nine mode is struggling. The iteration of the popular Trials of Osiris PvP experience had its fans early on but player numbers suggest that things need to change. Unfortunately, it turns out that any hope for Trials of the Nine going on hiatus is unrealistic. According to Bungie Community Manager dmg04, Trials must stay active for Destiny 2 since it is tied to Trophies/Achievements....

When Bungie first revealed Shadowkeep, the new expansion coming this fall to Destiny 2, a new armor system, dubbed Armor 2.0, was shown. This new system was touted as a way for players to take a piece of armor they like cosmetically and apply a selection of their most desired mods to the armor in order to build the exact perk set on that armor that they desire. The new system received a brief showcase in the new ViDoc showing off what’s coming this fall in Destiny 2 with Shadowkeep and Year 3, but more light has been shed on the Armor 2....

The Destiny 2 beta was a chance for developer Bungie to test out the game’s backend systems, but it also served as many players’ first chance to go hands-on with the game. It allowed them to try to the new weapons and, maybe more importantly, the three new subclasses coming to the game. But one common concern from the Destiny 2 beta seems to be rising up: the new Arcstrider Hunter feels weaker than the other subclasses....

The first wave of season 2 Iron Banner is officially in the books. As Lord Saladin heads back to the Iron Temple on Felwinter Peak, fans will get another shot to earn exclusive loot when the Destiny 2 event next comes back around. While a specific date isn’t known at this time, what players do know is that with each Faction Rally or Iron Banner event, the loot pool increases. Though fans found out the hard way, Bungie later confirmed that the entire season 2 content would be available by the last event prior to the season ending....

UPDATE: Bungie has released a new teaser trailer for the Age of Triumph event that features the Vault of Glass raid. It has been a popular fan request since Destiny’s Year 2: “Bungie, please bring back old raids at current Light levels.” The possibility of that wish being fulfilled looks to be the closest to reality it has ever been, based on teases from Bungie about Destiny’s last live event, Age of Triumph....

We were already excited when we found out recently that Castlevania was going to be getting a spinoff Netflix series. Season 4 will not be the end of Castlevania, as the new spinoff series will star Richter Belmont, the son of Sypha and Trevor Belmont, and it will be set during the French Revolution. However, it seems that the new spinoff series isn’t the only thing for us to get excited about....

As far as gaming goes, Ubisoft has definitely maintained a large presence at the convention, by keeping folks abreast about latest entry in their stealth-heavy action series, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. The day has finally arrived. Today is when Black Ops Cold War, Warzone, and Modern Warfare begin their integration across all platforms. Progress on one game’s seasonal levels and Prestige will now progress on every other game, and besides that, over 30 Black Ops Cold War weapons will be added to Warzone’s battle royale madness. Unfortunately, things hit a snag for Call of Duty players on PC. “Zed 398 Swift Clover” error messages are preventing PC players from taking part in multiplayer matches, leading to Treyarch disabling crossplay for the PC platform....

After a substantial delay, Crysis Remastered’s release date is almost here and Digital Foundry has taken a deep dive with a video of gameplay of it running on Xbox One X. Crysis Remastered offers multiple graphic modes on the high-end Xbox with 3 very different goals. Unsurprisingly, the game takes advantage of the One X’s capabilities offering a 4K visual output with 30 frames-per-second for players who want to focus on a crisp visual look to the game, at the cost of the frame rate....

If you’ve gotten more than half an hour into Cyberpunk 2077’s narrative, then you’re probably satisfied to see that you’ve been given a car that fits with your character’s background and personality. You might think that this is plenty to get you around Night City. That might be technically true, but this is Night City we’re talking about. Why not exercise a little vanity? Even a fully completed and cleared game won’t give V enough money to buy everything, but if you spend your eddies wisely, you can at least get the dream cars off your list....

Months before the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red already has big plans to expand the universe beyond just the medium of video games. Cyberpunk Edgerunners, a brand new anime series based on the highly anticipated game, is set to debut on Netflix in 2022. Edgerunners will take place in Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City, but other than the setting, the show will not be taking direct inspiration from the game....

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was a huge success for developer CD Projekt RED, selling millions of copies and getting tons of positive reviews. As such, it’s to be expected that people will want to compare its newest game, Cyberpunk 2077, to its last one. But in a new interview, the studio has explained that its approach to making games has changed significantly with the newer title. In a new interview with PC Gamer (Issue #324), CD Projekt RED’s lead cinematic animator Maciej Pietras reveals that the team has put a special effort into making Cyberpunk 2077 more “seamless” than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt....

Since its launch last month, Cyberpunk 2077 received a very mixed response. Some players expressed admiration for the way the story of V and Night City unfolded while others were annoyed by the many bugs and glitches popping up in Cyberpunk 2077. Every now and then, there’s an apparent clash between the eye for detail developer CD Projekt Red had and the way development was carried out. That was apparently demonstrated most recently by a Reddit user who noticed a small detail in Cyberpunk 2077 others might have missed....

Nvidia shared a bit of behind-the-scenes Cyberpunk 2077 footage earlier today, offering another look at the game running on RTX 30 Series GPUs. It’s not the first time we’ve seen Cyberpunk 2077 running with RTX ON, but the footage does include a bunch of never-before-seen gameplay. GeForce’s RTX 30 Series GPUs are the hottest product on the PC market. They’re new, they’re powerful, and – they’re always sold out. It’s unlikely most people will get to run Cyberpunk 2077 on any of those three graphics cards, but damn, does it look good with them installed....

While the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One are less than three years old, one Dangerous Golf developer has already begun speculating on the PS5 and the Xbox Two. Last month, Three Fields Entertainment (a team of ex-Criterion, ex-Disney, and ex-Ubisoft developers) announced Dangerous Golf. Combining destructive gameplay and property damage with (what’s possibly) the world’s most peaceful sport, a big part of the game will be its physics as players create mayhem for points....

With the official Dauntless release date having come and gone, new players are now learning how to play with friends in Dauntless, and they are teaming up to slay the myriad of Behemoths that the title has to offer. Unfortunately, the game’s launch has not been without its issues, and many fans are reportedly encountering problems with long matchmaking times, queues, and prompts that indicate that the Dauntless servers are full....

Last month, it was announced that the next chapter in the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight would add content based on Konami’s popular Silent Hill horror game franchise. Now Dead by Daylight fans can pick up the new Silent Hill chapter content, which adds Pyramid Head and more. Upon purchasing the Dead by Daylight Silent Hill content, fans can check out the Midwich Elementary School map, as well as play as both Pyramid Head (also known as The Executioner) and Cheryl Mason....

Just in time for Halloween, Capcom releases a new trailer for Dead Rising 4 that highlights the game’s brutal combo weapons and some of Frank West’s crazy costumes. The upcoming Dead Rising 4 from Capcom may have a Christmas theme, but it also features massive hordes of zombies looking to make hero Frank West their next meal. In celebration of its horror elements, Capcom has released a new Halloween trailer for Dead Rising 4 that shows off the different costumes and combo weapons Frank will have at his disposal in his new adventure....
