At least once a month, there’s more media coverage about how Grand Theft Auto 5 continues to top sales charts, year-over-year, since the game’s initial release in 2013. Since then the game has quickly cemented itself as one of the best-selling games of all time, now topping out at over 130 million units sold. Rockstar’s baby has been a sales giant to the point where it’s as if the publisher has found some secret formula that can’t be replicated elsewhere....

Paradox Development Studio’s generation-spanning strategy game Crusader Kings 3 was a big hit upon release last September, and the developer has continued to expand upon the experience in the months since. Official updates have provided a number of additional things to do, such as giving Crusader Kings 3 players the ability to design original rulers, and today a developer diary revealed that poetry is coming to the game. The poet trait originally appeared in Crusader Kings 2, according to the developer diary, but the new version of it being added via Crusader Kings 3’s free 1....

With the long awaited release of Cyberpunk 2077 finally here, fans who have been waiting for this game to arrive for nearly a decade could not be more thrilled. So many users have already begun to sink their teeth into Cyberpunk 2077 and with a world as expansive and detailed as Night City, there’s certainly a lot for players to discover. The release date for the Nintendo Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered may have been revealed early, thanks to a posting on a European video game retailer’s website. Base.com has a preorder listing for the Nintendo Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered which lists the release date for the game as the 29th of June. We have reached out to Nintendo for confirmation of this date, as their own website still lists “Summer 2018” as the release date for the game....

If you’re a fan of Dauntless, then you must be excited about the launch of the biggest batch of brand new content in the game’s history. The Reforged expansion is going to bring new locations, new ways of leveling up your characters, and a new way to fly around the maps while hunting down massive Shrikes and Embermanes. Glen Schofield, the creator of Dead Space and a former head of Sledgehammer Games, recently sat down with GamesBeat to talk about his latest project working with PUBG Corp., the company behind Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds. While Schofield couldn’t speak to specifically on the new game he’s working on, he did comment on how his team has been building the new Striking Distance Studios during a pandemic. Since leaving Sledgehammer Games and Activision, Schofield began forming Striking Distance Studios in San Ramon, CA with funding from PUBG Corp....

Invincible is a show about superheroes, so as you might expect, there are a lot of superheroes involved. Mark Grayson is the titular superhero, while his father is Omni-Man and his friend at school is Atom Eve. On top of these, there are the Guardians (think Justice League/Avengers types), who are murdered by Omni-Man in the first episode, as well as a demon detective, a kaiju, aliens, and several superhero teams in the mix....

While the COVID-19 pandemic has caused many businesses to switch to virtual offices, Blizzard found a way to allow “Take Your Child To Work Day” proceedings to happen remotely. The company says they originally planned to host a variety of on-site events and activities with the goal of entertaining the children of Blizzard employees on April 23, 2020. In just two weeks’ time, Destiny: The Taken King will finally release, giving dedicated players an expanse of new content. Yes, it’s true that the King’s Fall raid will not be available on launch day, but The Taken King will have new quests, strikes, and cooperative experiences for players to enjoy, along with a new level cap and new gear. Thus far, Bungie has done a solid job of detailing all of Destiny: The Taken King’s major additions and changes, which include more vault space, new faction features, and ghost shells with unique properties....

Destiny 2 has been around for quite a few years now, and its lifespan appears to continuously grow as it plows ahead and its dedicated community ardently supports it. Over this time it’s seen all sorts of changes through each expansion, with new seasons and unique events adding to the rich looting and shooting experience. While the core of Destiny 2 has remained the same style of gameplay, there have been huge changes and updates that have utterly changed how it’s played, bought, and built....

Destiny 2 will often produce weapons that manage to punch above their weight class in many activities. Many Guardians have fond memories of the Retold Tale Legendary Shotgun and were happy to see it return with the Season of the Chosen. While Felwinter’s Lie may still dominate the Crucible, the Retold Tale can give it a run for its money with the right perks. To get the Retold Tale, players will need to make their way to the Dreaming City and finish activities there....

It’s no major secret that Guardians everywhere are champing at the bit in anticipation for Destiny 2’s forthcoming Forsaken expansion, and they don’t have that much longer to wait until the DLC comes out in a little more than a month from now. For those who are looking to dive into the game for the first time, though, Activision and Bungie are offering a great deal for newcomers by offering a bundle pack called the Legendary Collection that includes the base game, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and Forsaken for just $60....

Let’s run the numbers. Cyberpunk 2077 is full of guns with detailed statistics–just like Borderlands. The only real difference between the two games is the ability to hack everything and the general visual aesthetics.
