It may not be coming as soon as fans would like, but it’s certainly coming: Crackdown 3 will grace Xbox One consoles sometime next summer. Developer Dave Jones confirmed Crackdown 3’s summer 2016 release window in an interview with IGN, and if anyone has the inside scoop on the game’s development, it’s Jones. Reportedly, Microsoft’s executives greenlit Crackdown 3 after discussions with Jones, who co-founded Cloudinge, a cloud-based computing service. With Cloudinge, Xbox One consoles can offload complicated processing to off-site machines, increasing the amount of computing power the game can use...

With Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy’s release date of June 30 fast approaching, many fans of the beloved PlayStation character have been hoping to see a little more of the game. Now, Activision has given another brief glimpse at the title, showcasing Crash as he rides a polar bear with plenty of gusto. The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy trailer is not exactly a full experience this time around, with the video itself just a brief snapshot of the game, but it does let fans see the return of a beloved character from the second game in the series....

Next month, fans are going to get a heavy dose of nostalgia that will likely cause them to drool all over the updated graphics found within Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and should the compendium be a hit, it will obviously beg the question of whether or not more titles starring Crash are on the way. Death of Rose has gone through a rocky development cycle over the last few months. After Death of Rose was canceled in February, the game entered redevelopment in May with an entirely new setting and it now seems to be making progress. Artur Laczkowski, the director and producer for Death of Rose, decided to give those eager for the horror title their first look at its gameplay. This three-minute gameplay trailer was released after publisher Feardemic’s Gamescom conference....

Podracing is making a huge comeback, as Star Wars Episode 1: Racer has made its way to Nintendo Switch via the eShop. The cult classic racing simulator was announced to return for the handheld hybrid system for a release in May, but it was delayed indefinitely with no new date given. Umihara Kawase is getting a brawl style game this summer, Umihara Kawase BaZooKa!. The platform game has been around since the ‘90s but will now pit players against each other like never before. Umihara Kawase has sushi chef Kawase Umihara running around a world of fresh and salt water creatures, jumping, climbing, and running through levels. Now, the characters of Umihara Kawase will be able to fight one another with bazookas....

CD Projekt Red recently announced another delay for Cyberpunk 2077, though the new release date is only 21 days away from the previous launch day of November 19. While the latest delay is very brief and is purely centered around creating a more polished Cyberpunk 2077 experience for all platforms, one fan suffered heavily from the shocking release date change. Cyberpunk 2077’s move to December 10 is unlikely to affect many gamers, though Twitter user PoshPenguino is certainly an exception....

CD Projekt RED’s upcoming action role-playing game, Cyberpunk 2077, is a real head turner for many, especially after the developer shared various story details concerning the game. Of course, the latest title is often compared to CD Projekt RED’s Witcher series, and while many may be comparing V to Geralt, romantically the two appear to be different. As a Witcher, Geralt had an increased libido, which is seen in his strictly heterosexual relationships....

The Dark Souls series rewards players who scavenge and collect all of the available items for upgrading your character. In the large world of Drangleic that players get to explore in the second installment to the series, there are many consumables that players need to find in order to give themselves a better chance of success. Perhaps the most important item for players to find is Sublime Bone Dust. If you burn the Sublime Bone Dust at the Majula bonfire, the player that does so gains more health every single time that the Estus Flask is used....

Dauntless, the free-to-play game similar to Monster Hunter, is celebrating Easter, or “Springtide” as the game refers to it, by asking players to find eggs. With 2020 already reaching December, numerous games are celebrating the upcoming holiday season. This includes Dead by Daylight, which is bringing merriment to its horror setting with a collection of festive cosmetics. The collection has been named the Holiday Horror Collection and will be slowly added to Dead by Daylight throughout the month of December. It includes two new outfit sets for killers and six new outfits for survivors. After the release of these cosmetics, players can purchase them any time from the in-game Dead by Daylight store alongside the other cosmetics....

Dead Rising 4’s developers are next to hop aboard the Red Dead Redemption hype by parodying Rockstar’s recently-released sunset teaser image with its own zombified take. This past week Horizon Zero Dawn developer Guerrilla Games and Hideo Kojima’s new studio partnered to show off their work on the Decima Engine, planned for use in Death Stranding. Principal Tech Programmer at Guerrilla Giliam de Carpentier and programmer Kohei Ishiyama of Kojima Productions provided a presentation at Siggraph 2017 titled “Decima Engine: Advances in Lighting and AA.” As part of the demonstration, the two shared how fog might look in Death Stranding using “precomputed atmospheric scattering....
