The multi-medium plans of Warner Bros. to complement upcoming Robert Pattinson-starring DC Extended Universe movie reboot The Batman with an HBO Max live-action television series has hit a slight snag with the exit of showrunner Terence Winter. Creative differences have caused an irreparable rift between Winter—who was initially tapped as showrunner, writer and executive producer—and The Batman director Matt Reeves, who is onboard as an executive producer, according to THR. We now have a better idea as to when Dead Cells – the successful rogue-lite game from French studio Motion Twin – will officially make the move to consoles. At Sony’s PlayStation 5 price and release date reveal event, developer Bluepoint Games revealed its first look at gameplay from the upcoming Demon’s Souls remake. The initial look at the game promised that the remake would feature visually stunning recreations of iconic locations from the classic game, but the gameplay highlighted how Bluepoint has evolved the formula for modern consoles. Destiny 2 player versus player (PvP) was a bit of a mess last week thanks to the Prometheus Lens. The Exotic trace rifle was significantly overpowered, meaning that anyone who didn’t have the weapon would be easily melted by anyone who did. After admitting that the weapon has shipped with a bug which made it so overpowered, Destiny 2 developer Bungie put the Prometheus Lens into Xur’s inventory, allowing everyone to buy it and use it in PvP....
Bungie has been working on a bug that has prevented players from finishing the new Felwinter’s Lie Shotgun quest in Destiny 2, and though Hotfix 2.8.1.3 made it possible for players to acquire the weapon, there are still issues surrounding its presence in the game. Destiny 2’s Season of Opulence introduced the Menagerie, a new six-man matchmade activity to be completed in Bungie’s sci-fi first-person shooter, but it is constantly getting nerfs and tweaks from the developer. Recent fixes include the removal of the Menagerie Chest exploit and the Telesto cheese in the Gauntlet, but it seems the recent Gauntlet patch missed one key exploit that many Guardians may want to take advantage of. The Telesto cheese required Destiny 2 players to shoot a sticky projectile over the finish line, and each projectile would count as a Guardian finishing the encounter, adding to the overall score....
