It should be easier for new players to get into Destiny 2 now, as developer Bungie is adding the game’s two Year 1 expansions to the purchase of the new Forsaken DLC. And those who have already purchased all that content are in line to receive a bundle of digital, in-game rewards. When Destiny 2: Forsaken first launched, it required the base game plus the Curse of Osiris and Warmind expansions to play....
Although Destiny 2: Forsaken introduced a lot of improvements into the game, one change that has not been very well received involves clan XP, clan ranks, and clan bounties. Previously, players could earn XP for their clan simply by completing any activity but in Year 2 Bungie went to a bounty-based system. The only way for players to contribute XP toward their clan and to rank up their clan was by completing daily bounties and weekly bounties....

Comparing new video game releases to From Software’s Dark Souls series has long been cliché, and, with many pundits and players eager to compare anything even remotely difficult—regardless of genre—to the beloved RPG trilogy, the phrase “Dark Souls hard” has lost a ton of meaning. Despite all of Hollywood coming to a standstill due to the coronavirus pandemic, pre-production continues on the Borderlands movie. We found out a few months ago that Eli Roth of Hostel fame is going to be director, and now we’ve just found out that Cate Blanchett is playing Lilith. Variety first broke the news that Lionsgate Pictures was in talks with Blanchett to play the most famous Siren in the Borderlands universe, and then Lionsgate later confirmed the news with a tweet....
During a Twitch stream, xQc was granted the title of Grandmaster while playing online blitz matches on chess.com. The promotion was quite shocking as the coveted “GM” rank is only held by an elite few. On that note, xQc was only sitting at a 589 rating, typical for chess beginners. For perspective, actual chess Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura has a 3214 blitz ranking – currently number 1 on the leaderboards. Overall, the chess community has proven that they are more than ready to deal with the new attention that Twitch has driven the sport....

Cliff Bleszinski, better known to gamers as Cliffy B, has announced his departure from developer Epic Games. Effective immediately, Bleszinski will be vacating his post as Epic’s Design Director in order to “chart the next stage of his career.” The news was broken on Epic Games official site, where the developer had nothing but positive things to say about Bleszinski’s 20 years with the company. Based on comments from Epic big wigs and Bleszinski himself it appears the split was amicable....
