After heavy rumors and teases prior to the reveal of the Beyond Light expansion for Destiny 2, Bungie finally revealed the game’s first set of Darkness powered subclasses. For Beyond Light, players were introduced to Stasis, a ice-inspired set of powers that let players freeze and shatter their enemies. After the expansion’s launch, players quickly discovered that the Warlock Shadebinder subclass was perhaps too strong, something which Bungie seemingly agreed with pretty quickly....

One of the many new announcements was the Destiny 2 Annual Pass, a new sort of expansion pass launching alongside Forsaken that will give players access to three new expansions after the launch of Forsaken. The Destiny 2 Season of Opulence has begun, and many players are now certain to have their eyes steadily fixed on the Destiny 2 Crown of Sorrow raid and reaching the new 750 power level cap. However, it seems that one player has been able to bypass the loot grind completely, attaining 750 power level in Destiny 2 only hours after the release of Season of Opulence. The ability to reach the new Season of Opulence power level cap so quickly is due to an odd Destiny 2 glitch connected to the player’s Gambit Infamy rank....

Destiny 2’s Warmind expansion launches in a week, and with the new expansion comes a new raid lair for players to tackle after finishing the campaign. Bungie announced today that Destiny 2’s next raid lair, Spire of Stars, launches Friday, May 11, at 10 a.m. PST, three days after the release of Warmind. Judging by the image accompanying the announcement, it seems that Spire of Stars may be referring to the spire atop the Leviathan....

Although the Forsaken expansion doesn’t launch for another week, today is still a big day for Destiny 2 players. The 2.0 update is live for all players, bringing with it many of the changes promised with Forsaken. As the name implies, Destiny 2’s 2.0 update is meant to make sweeping changes to Bungie’s game. In a crazy, time consuming effort, one Destiny player proves that it is possible to completely level a character by only playing the first mission of the game. One Destiny fan attempted—and succeeded—taking a new character from Level 0 to the Level 40 cap by playing only Destiny’s first mission.
