As many Destiny 2 players might attest, Bungie’s science fiction shooter has a bright, lively design style and clean-looking user interfaces that make playing the game a welcoming and often clutter-free experience. Of course, to get to the point it is now, developers and designers had to work painstakingly behind the scenes to ensure such visuals and UI assets were palatable to all players. So, in order to give fans some insight into the design process, one Bungie developer has decided to show off some early design and UI elements for the game....

Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost has arrived, and developer Bungie has added a new way to obtain loot during this iteration of the event. More specifically, players can now use Cipher Decoders, a brand new currency, to unlock bonus chests at the end of their Haunted Forest runs, giving them additional chances to procure god rolls of the Horror Story and BrayTech Werewolf assault rifles. That said, some fans may be confused about exactly how to earn Cipher Decoders in Destiny 2, and a bit of guidance may prove helpful....

When most people think of a 6-player activity in Destiny 2, they think raids. But raiding isn’t all you can do with your clan in Destiny. Husky Raid has been putting on incredibly choreographed dance numbers for years. Their famous “Saw Something Weird” series always starts off with one player seeing something strange in the distance before being transported to a land where Light and Dark make beautiful music together....

New to Destiny 2 are weapon mods, add-ons to gear that can customize weapon or armor to the player’s liking, such as adding elemental damage or buffs to ability recharge. On top of that, legendary mods come with a +5 power level stat, adding five additional levels of power to the weapon, thus impacting a character’s overall Power level. But a question arose among Destiny 2 fans whether those additional five levels gained from those mods impact the power level of drops....

Destiny 2 is entering Season 13 soon which will bring lots of new features for the players. Even though most of Season of the Hunt’s content will stay in the game, Season of the Chosen will continue to populate the game’s world. One such addition is a new social space called the H.E.L.M. In this season of Destiny 2, the Cabal will make a resurgence after their complete defeat last June....

Destiny fans create leaderboards to track times achieved by players in the Sparrow Racing League event that was added into the game earlier this week. This week saw Bungie introduce a new Destiny event, the Sparrow Racing League. Despite only going live yesterday, it seems that players have been quick to warm to the new activity, as a fan-created leaderboard project has already been created and is currently tracking times for all to see....

Grammy-award winning and chart-topping MC Chance the Rapper has previously shared his love for Fortnite, once encouraging developer Epic Games to bring the game to Nintendo Switch. However, Chance is also a staunch defender of creator’s rights. This is why he recently took aim at Epic Games over its business practices regarding Fortnite emotes and the lack of proper credit for their original creators. In a post on Twitter, Chance the Rapper said that Fortnite should include “the actual rap songs behind the dances that make so much money as emotes....

Well, Splatoon fans, we hope you’re happy. There’s (quite possibly) a grim new post-apocalyptic aesthetic on its way to the eventual Splatoon 3. Before we get into that, though, we’ve got to take a step backwards. Splatoon 2 hit Nintendo Switch just over two years ago (July 21), one of the big pulls towards the company’s new Nintendo Switch Online service. That service finally arrived in September last year, and was met with an apathetic-to-super-snarky response....

The PC port of classic RPG Chrono Trigger has had its share of issues since launch. Most notably, fans were upset that it was a port of the mobile version, which had its own problems, instead of the DS version. The team behind the port did announce today they are taking steps to resolve those issues, as well as add some more options for the game. Announced on Chrono Trigger’s Steam page, there was a quick update on what is being worked on and when fans can expect the patches to come out....

Dr Hakim, the anthropomorphic book from It Takes Two, is currently leading the race for 2021’s best new character. This is unfortunately offset by Cody, one of the two player characters in Hazelight’s latest game, who is currently lagging behind as the worst. Seriously Cody, shut the fuck up and get a job. It Takes Two revolves around two parents going through a divorce. In terms of themes, it’s a mixed bag....

Critical Role determined a complaint made with regards to outside work being stolen was without substance following an “extensive investigation.” Last month, the web series’ showrunners were accused of having commissioned work from a community member but not paying once that work was delivered. It’s claimed that an investigation was immediately undertaken with direction from outside counsel and it was found that the allegations could not be substantiated. After finding an iconic weapon in Cyberpunk 2077, players will naturally have the instinct to equip it right away and test it out for a few shots. Their curiosity is admirable, but too often they conclude that the new weapon isn’t as good as their old one and revert after a few rounds of combat. The problem is that mods are a huge part of what makes a weapon great and so these trial runs need the benefit of them to have an accurate side-by-side comparison....

There has been plenty of excitement surrounding the release of Cyberpunk 2077 and this is due to the setting, actors involved, and perhaps most importantly, the developer of the title. Naturally, fans are excited to get another huge open world in a new and exciting setting from the developer....

Cyberpunk 2077 gets closer every day. CD Projekt Red, developer of the critically acclaimed Witcher series, aims to create an RPG which combines the freedom of Skyrim with the storytelling found in The Witcher 3 in this latest project. A new “Seize the Day” trailer has just been released with Keanu Reeves telling players to “seize the day, then set it on fire.” It’s an ironic ask considering one central feature of the game, as well as recent events in the development of Cyberpunk 2077....

Information is something that’s tough to come by for CD Projekt RED’s long in development game, Cyberpunk 2077. While the game is more than likely going to be headlining E3 2019, especially if the Xbox rumors are true, fans won’t have to wait too much longer to find out even more about this highly anticipated open world title. Nordic Games announces its future plans for the Darksiders franchise, with a remastered version of the original game coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U in October. Earlier this week, a remastered version of the original Darksiders game, known as Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, leaked online. Nordic Games has since confirmed the game’s existence, announcing that Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will release for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U on October 25th with a number of improvements....

New information drops about the Kickstarter-backed World War 2 title Days of War, which is an upcoming infantry-based squad shooter produced by Driven Arts. World War 2 shooter Days of War has smashed its Kickstar campaign goal of $20,000, with the two-week-old campaign currently sitting at $60,000 and rising. The squad-based shooter pits teams of players against each other in infantry-only combat (for now), and with only a few days left in the campaign, more juicy details about Days of War have come to light....

A brand new zombie-themed free-to-play MMO was announced last week, titled The War Z. It’s unveiling by developer Hammerpoint Interactive and publisher Arktos Entertainment Group could not have come sooner as the buzz and popularity for another similar online zombie experience in DayZ is hitting a fever pitch. Where The War Z has been in development for a year and will release for a one-time purchase fee of $29.99 (with a discount for those who pre-order) later this year, the fan-made DayZ mod for ARMA 2 is already out and playable in its alpha build, but its development is stalled....
