Earlier this year, the video game developer Bungie teased the possibility of dead ghosts making a return at some point in the science fiction shooter sequel Destiny 2, as the second entry’s director Christopher Barrett mentioned intentions to bring back collectibles. Now, though, Bungie has decided to explicitly state that dead ghosts are going to be included in the action-RPG’s highly anticipated expansion known as Forsaken. This much was confirmed by the Destiny 2: Forsaken project lead, Scott Taylor, who detailed how Bungie would be tying the game’s lore into the forthcoming DLC, with Taylor stating that it feels akin to “opening up a little book and reading the stories”....

Destiny 2 has managed to entertain fans with its steady stream of updates and additional content. The title developed by Bungie has had a mixed reception and while some players have had issues with the updates to Destiny 2 others have found them to improve and expand upon their experience. Despite divided opinion on updates, it seems that the social media account of Destiny made a post about its Year 4 plans, only to delete the post shortly after....

Bungie is scheduled to reveal the ‘Next Chapter’ of Destiny 2 on June 6, but a leak from this morning’s Season of Opulence patch may have spoiled the announcement. Dataminers poring through the new patch have discovered a pre-purchase advertisement for an expansion named Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. The teaser image features concept art of a large fort and tower built the Moon’s surface, as well as confirmation that Shadowkeep is planned to launch this fall....

Destiny fans have rallied around a fellow fan who lost his battle with cancer after hearing his story about how before he died he was able to accomplish a feat that had eluded him despite thousands of hours played— with the help of his friends, he reached the Lighthouse. Mike Mariana was a huge Destiny fan, logging almost 3,000 hours in the game. According to his clanmates, he spent a lot of his time helping other players get through PvE content, but he had never made it to the prestigious Lighthouse....

The latest Destiny weapon balance patch unintentionally changes how health regeneration perks work across the game instead of only affecting the targeted Bladedancer class. Destiny players are currently exploring the many weapons of Destiny and how they perform head-to-head in the Crucible after the latest weapon balancing patch, which went live today. The patch made a number of changes to how Special Ammo works in the Crucible, as well as toning down the go-to weapons and subclasses that have ruled PvP for months....

According to a Tweet posted by the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account, the Reaver is a vehicle customized by the Wraiths - a nomadic gang which takes up residence in the game’s Badlands area. The car is based on the so-called Type-66 car produced by Quadra - an automotive manufacturer that will feature in the game. Fittingly, Quadra’s slogan is apparently “Drive to the Future Through the Past.” The Tweet is accompanied by a 360-degree view of the Reaver, complete with a fitting backdrop of the Wraiths’ very Mad Max-y Badlands home....

Although it remains to be seen which areas of the games industry will be changed forever by the Coronavirus pandemic, many have already made some predictions.
