Publisher Bandai Namco and the tabletop company Steamforged Games announce a collaboration to create a board game version of From Software’s Dark Souls. According to a March press release from the folks over at Steamforged Games, Dark Souls will be getting its own board game soon enough, with Bandai Namco licensing the title, and with both of the companies starting a Kickstarter for the project later this month. Of course, since the tabletop adaptation of the popular action-RPG series is still in its nascent stages, neither Steamforged nor Bandai Namco offered any additional details involving its development....

Without a doubt, many would consider Sony and Bend Studio’s forthcoming Days Gone to be one of the most exciting PS4 exclusives coming to the platform, as the title has the potential to not only put a fresh spin on the zombie genre, but also offer up a well crafted narrative with engaging gameplay mechanics. Speaking of mechanics, one element that can be found in myriad open world titles won’t be present in Bend Studio’s action-adventure game, with creative director John Garvin having declared that its protagonist, Deacon St....

Although Kojima has deliberately left fans to speculate and wonder about what Death Stranding is, there are a few aspects of the game that the public does know. While this should be taken with a grain of salt, a rumor involving Sony Brazil’s email has surfaced, stating that Death Stranding’s release date will be announced at The Game Awards 2018 on December 6. In terms of the gameplay itself, a leak from six months ago suggests that Death Stranding’s combat will involve “tons of weapons, vehicles, gadgets, and gear from multiple eras”....

It’s no secret that Battlefield 4 was not the most beloved game in the first-person shooter franchise’s history. BF4 launched with a laundry list of bugs and technical issues and didn’t really deliver the top notch FPS experience that fans of the previous game had been hoping for. The creators aim to right the ship with the next installment, Battlefield Hardline, by switching things up both in terms of setting and gameplay....

Demon’s Souls, the recently remade action-RPG from Bluepoint Games, is set in the Kingdom of Boletaria. Once a wealthy and powerful nation, Boletaria was consumed by the Deep Fog after angering the mysterious Old One. However, Boletaria isn’t a static game-world, and the actions of Demon’s Souls’ players can have a dramatic effect on it. While many games these days have a morality system, Demon’s Souls’ World Tendency approaches things very differently....

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train has received an R-rating in the US from the Motion Picture Association. That means anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult to watch the film in theatres. The reason for the R-rating? Apparently, the new Demon Slayer movie will contain “violence and bloody images.” If you’ve seen the anime series on Netflix, that sounds about right. There’s definitely a lot of violence in Demon Slayer, and because Demons get bits and pieces of themselves hacked off all the time, there’s also a lot of blood....

Loads of gaming fans somehow missed Desperados 3 when it came out in 2020 and it’s seriously a shame. It’s the first game to come out in the tactical stealth franchise since 2006 and is loaded full of fun content. With Bounty Mode out now and players able to make their own maps, there’s never been a better time to try it out. For some players, the game can be a bit difficult....

Releasing earlier this year, Desperados 3 marked the first entry in the tactical Western franchise since 2006, managing to wow fans and score a phenomenal 86 on Metacritic. To celebrate the game’s success, it seems Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic have elected to add some new content for eager fans, with the recently added “Bounty Mode” opening a wide suite of new options to players. The first will be the option to replay portions of Desperados 3’s campaign with characters only unlockable during later chapters, allowing for a wealth of new scenarios and fun retreads....

Agent Jones was splattered in Peely’s flesh as the banana was brutally murdered during Fortnite’s season six trailer but don’t worry, he’ll be back. The opening cinematic for Fortnite season six was rather chaotic. Most of the crossover characters added throughout the season were battling on the ground as the Zero Point became more and more unstable. When eliminated, those characters were turning into a mass of tiny blue cubes, just like what happens to players when they are eliminated in-game....

What’s the future look like for Destiny in 2016? It’s a question that’s been on the minds of hardcore players likely since The Taken King launched, or soon thereafter. That’s not to say that what Bungie has provided in the way of weekly events, content updates, and secret quests hasn’t been satisfying, but every MMO or MMO-like experience is built on its major expansions. And for Destiny Year 2, it doesn’t appear as if expansions are in the cards....

Few games have lore as deep as Destiny does. Players learn about enemies and why they are doing certain missions from the voice-over of whoever has sent them on that mission. The in-game lore is just the tip of the iceberg. Most of the lore that makes Destiny as deep of a game as it is, is locked behind collectibles and is all in text form. Thankfully, there are resources such as Ishtar Collective where players can read all the lore they wish....

The new Gjallarwing Sparrow within video game developer Bungie’s Destiny: Rise of Iron contains a small, but fun Easter egg capable of making Guardians howl with delight. With Bungie having finally released Destiny: Rise of Iron, plenty of the action-RPG’s fans are undoubtedly spending their time checking out all of the new gear, exploring the expansion’s different areas, and taking on fresh missions, such as the add-on’s quest to acquire the Year 3 Gjallarhorn....

With Destiny: The Taken King, Bungie is aiming not only retain to its current player population but also to try and woo back players who may have left the community since launch. With a large number of enhancements and overhauls coming to the core experience, the biggest change may be to the game’s narrative. Since launch, Destiny’s story has been one of the weakest aspects of the experience, with Bungie choosing to lock critical details behind online-only Grimoire Cards rather than trying to deliver the story in-game....

The discovery of the secret quest in Destiny 2 earlier this month giving players a chance to earn the Whisper of the Worm exotic sniper rifle was a huge hit with fans. And, according to developer Bungie, players can look forward to more secret quests in the game’s upcoming fall expansion, Forsaken. Game Director Steve Cotton confirmed to Game Informer that while the Whisper of the Worm quest was very unique and quests in Destiny 2’s future are “not exactly like Whisper of the Worm,” there will, in fact, be more secrets quests lurking in Destiny 2: Forsaken for players to find....

Shortly before Destiny 2’s Black Armory launched, developer Bungie gave fans a closer look at almost all of the exotic weapons that are included with the DLC add-on. However, what the studio didn’t say was how to acquire any of these weapons – leaving that for players to find out. Thus far, Destiny 2 players have discovered that the Anarchy grenade launcher is a rare drop from the final encounter in the Scourge of the Past raid....

The long wait for info Destiny 2’s second major expansion has come to an end, putting to rest months of rumor and speculation. DLC2 will be officially titled Warmind, likely in reference to the memorable Russian AI, Rasputin, introduced in the original Destiny. Destiny 2’s second expansion, the second half of the game’s first expansion pass, will officially launch across all supported platforms on May 8. Warmind’s announcement was made as part of Bungie’s latest update to Destiny 2’s development roadmap....

Although Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris does not include an entirely new Raid for PvE players to experience, it will add a new component to the existing Leviathan raid. Dubbed a Raid Lair, this Leviathan add-on will reportedly be a shorter, but still-challenging endgame encounter complete with unique boss fights and loot to collect. While Bungie typically likes to keep details about its Destiny endgame content a secret, Community Manager Deej was willing to reveal when the Raid Lair release window is....

Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost has begun. Players will have the opportunity to gather unique Festival of the Lost costumes, collect candies, and even check out the Haunted Forest once again. The Haunted Forest Destiny 2 is big on its holiday events, including its spooky Halloween-like Festival of the Lost; it will be the last Festival of the Lost before Bungie drops all the changes coming with Beyond Light. The Festival of the Lost has been around since 2015, and this year seems like it has big celebrations and spooky surprises in store....

After weeks of teases from Bungie, as well as countless rumors and speculation, Destiny 2 fans finally learned the details behind the upcoming season 13. A new Season of the Chosen trailer arrived this week, revealing that the daughter of Calus, now Empress of the Cabal, has arrived at The Last City in an effort to make an alliance with Zavala and the Vanguard. With the Darkness continuing the encroach on the Solar System, Caiatl believes the two sides can prove to be a formidable opponent....

In the first 24 hours that the Destiny 2: Forsaken Last Wish raid was live, only 12 people managed to beat it (18 counting the team that went over by two minutes).
