In Cyberpunk 2077, gigs and side jobs are very similar. Like side jobs, gigs are optional, and you get rewards like unique weapons or the option to date one of the side characters; however, unlike them, gigs are way shorter, and you get paid in eddies, experience, and Street Cred. Gigs will come from fixers who will call you once you’re near the gig’s location. Also, you’ll need to have a specific amount of street credit to take a gig (keep in mind that the street credit you’ll need varies from District to District)....

The Blackwall is a core part of Cyberpunk 2077’s world, separating The Net into two distinct parts. The old web, which is almost impossible to reach for even the best Netrunners, is now home to rogue AIs and a wealth of haunted, lost-to-the-ages data. The new web, meanwhile, is where Night City’s Netrunners pull off most of their virtual stunts. “What happened in the old stories is this event called the data crash, which basically ruined the old web,” quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz told TheGamer in an exclusive Cyberpunk 2077 interview....

Though its name wasn’t previously unveiled on Cyberpunk 2077’s official soundtrack, a new and unreleased ASAP Rocky song can be heard through the in-game car radio on The Dirge station. Between the game’s soundtrack and original score, years of work has gone into making the music for Cyberpunk 2077. In a YouTube video from the official Cyberpunk 2077 account, the composers detailed that the first ideas came from the 90s genres of IDM and industrial, which turned into much of the music being created electronically while incorporating the sounds of traditional instruments like cellos and drums....

Recent speculation reveals the possibility of developer CD Projekt Red incorporating flying cars into its forthcoming futuristic role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077. The hype has been strong for CD Projekt Red’s next project, Cyberpunk 2077, ever since the developer finished creating all of the assets for what could very well be the last installment for a while in its popular fantasy and action-RPG series with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Of course, with the studio’s last title having not only been a hit with fans, but also having been well-received by critics, the anticipation for how CD Projekt Red will handle a more futuristic setting this time around has gamers in speculation mode, especially since little is currently known about Cyberpunk 2077....

The hype around Cyberpunk 2077 has been building for years, and with the game raking in awards at seemingly every event it is shown at, it is easy to see why. That trend has continued for Cyberpunk, as the game has now been given the Best of Gamescom award for 2020. Cyberpunk 2077 joins other recent Best of Show winners such as Super Mario Odyssey and Dreams. This is the game’s second time winning the award, with its first win coming back in 2018....

For the most part, Sony has kept its big exclusive games completely exclusive to its PlayStation consoles. Sony’s exclusives are the biggest selling points for its consoles, and so porting them to other platforms like PC could theoretically cut into the number of people who buy PlayStation consoles to play PlayStation exclusive games. However, Sony has started doing just that, bringing Horizon Zero Dawn to PC last year, with Days Gone to follow this spring....

Stargirl is coming to the DC Universe streaming service and The CW. On DC Universe, the Stargirl TV show joins live-action series Titans and Doom Patrol, and animated series Harley Quinn and Young Justice: Outsiders. Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, and Sarah Schechter serve as executive producers, and Johns himself wrote the first episode. The series will follow the character created by Geoff Johns and artist Lee Moder in 1999. Speaking to the crowd at the DC Universe panel at New York Comic Con in 2018, Johns compared the expected tone of the show to movies like Back to the Future and The Karate Kid....

The next killer coming to Dead by Daylight has been announced and is currently playable in the PTB servers. This killer is the Blight, also known as Talbot Grimes and the Alchemist. He will be made available in the main game when the “Descend Beyond” DLC is released in September. Like all other killers in Dead by Daylight, the Blight comes with three teachable perks and a plethora of add-ons that enhance the killing experience....

It’s been an odd week for Destiny players even though nothing much has been added or changed in the game. Yes, there was the Bungie Ride Along that offered a closer look at the new Wrath of the Machine raid, but the more peculiar happening has been the discussion surrounding matchmaking in Destiny....

After about 4 hours of attempts, the new Crown of Sorrow raid in Destiny 2 has been beaten and a new clan has claimed the title of World’s First and a championship belt. Be Bold, a relatively new clan for the Destiny 2 community, was able to complete Crown of Sorrow, arguably the most fair raid race that the game has ever seen. While plenty of Destiny 2 fans expected the usual clans like Redeem, Tier 1, and Math Class/The Legend Himself to make a run at the World’s First title, Be Bold was also in the mix with a strong lineup of Destiny vets....

There’s no doubt that plenty of Destiny 2 fans have been determined to keep playing the science fiction shooter in order to find new and interesting ways to take down the various raid bosses throughout the game, with challenge runners being chief among these players. For instance, one run recently saw Clan Redeem players taking on Destiny 2’s Morgeth and beating the Last Wish raid boss from across the broken bridge....

Season 12 of Destiny 2 is coming to a close on February 9. Bungie introduced the Season of Hunt alongside its big expansion, Beyond Light, in November of 2020. Players were sent to Europa for the first time after the Traveler healed from the wounds suffered during the Red War. Variks, a local fallen Vandal, warned the guardians about Eramis, the main antagonist in the Beyond Light story. The consensus regarding the main campaign was positive....

With Destiny 2 developer Bungie back in the office, it was finally time for the team to address player concerns and improvements to the game. In a very lengthy post, director Christopher Barrett gave a general breakdown regarding how Bungie plans to improve, tweak, and change the systems in Destiny 2, including Eververse. Since its launch, Eververse has been a contentious part of the Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 ecosystem, and frustrations with the microtransaction store only exacerbated with the recent Dawning event....

It’s no major secret that Destiny 2 has caught a lot of flak since its release in September of last year, with many fans vowing not to return to the sci-fi shooter until Bungie addresses the player base’s concerns regarding the Eververse and a plethora of other issues. While many Guardians are on a self-imposed strike from the game, some are actively studying the title in its current state in order to offer suggestions to Bungie so as to improve it....

Part of the roadmap for the newly begun Season of Opulence includes the exotic Lumina Quest, which begins on July 2nd. And newly datamined information from Destiny 2 appears to show that the quest will let players get their hands on The Rose, a hand cannon that is one of the most famous weapons in Destiny lore and the precursor to Thorn. In the lore of Destiny, the story of Thorn and The Last Word and their wielders Dredgen Yor and Shin Malphur is perhaps the most popular....

Normally we wouldn’t report on 4chan leaks, but this one sounds pretty believable if you’ve been keeping up with Destiny 2 at all, and there’s at least a bit of evidence supporting a few of these claims. Starting with the overall theme. According to the anonymous 4chan leaker (by way of Reddit), Destiny 2’s next season will be called Season of the Collectives and will be a Vex-focused season. The seasonal story will center around A Vex Mind called Cronus, who has figured out how to use Darkness powers just like Eramis did in Beyond Light....

It’s no secret that a portion of the Destiny 2 community is dissatisfied with the current state of the game. But the good news is that Bungie is well aware of that and has every intention to improve the current systems in the game while adding new incentives to complete activities and interact with the world. Unfortunately, the bad news for publisher Activision is that Destiny 2’s struggle will likely lead to lower stock prices for the triple-A publisher....

Next to raids Nightfall strikes are one of the hardest PvE activities in Destiny, requiring players to set up a fireteam without matchmaking to take on the high-level strike with rotating difficulty modifiers. Nightfalls will return in Destiny 2, and they, like always, will give out endgame level loot. And to up the ante on Nightfalls, Destiny 2 will lock loadouts within the Nightfall. Players will be required to decide what weapons and subclass they want to take into the Nightfall while in orbit before starting up the activity....

For most members of the Destiny 2 community, last week’s Iron Banner was a disappointment. Although the promise of new gear and armor was intriguing, the way that Bungie set up the event and how it doles out rewards left a lot to be desired. Thankfully, Bungie has heard those complaints and vowed to do better for Iron Banner in Season 2…or potentially even earlier. As part of its Twitch panel on Destiny 2 Seasons, Bungie detailed some of the changes it plans to implement in Season 2....
