Destiny 2 players received a bit of exciting news yesterday as Bungie confirmed that the studio is hosting another livestream next week in order to reveal what it has planned for year 2. Details will likely be held off for E3 in a few weeks, but fans will get a glimpse at what’s coming. More changes are coming as early as next week with the return of Faction Rallies. In preparation, Bungie has detailed how the event has evolved including a new rule change which should have an interesting effect on fan participation overall....

Today’s Bungie livestream introduced Shadowkeep, the new Destiny 2 DLC expansion coming this fall. A lot of new content and changes are coming alongside the expansion, from a new raid to a brand new story centering around Eris Morn. One of the fancy new features that Bungie announced today is dubbed New Light. New Light will allow players to create a new guardian and test out parts of the Destiny experience without having to buy all the component pieces....

PlayStation’s State of Play got off to an explosive start with new gameplay and announcements for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Bad news for Xbox fans of first-person shooters. Another high-profile Xbox-exclusive FPS has joined Halo Infinite in being delayed out of 2020, that game being the next entry in Smilegate Entertainment’s popular Crossfire series, CrossfireX. CrossfireX is a collaboration between Smilegate and Remedy Entertainment, with Smilegate working on the series’ trademark tactical multiplayer while Remedy develops a single-player campaign designed to introduce Crossfire’s narrative to a wider audience. Given the split nature of the project, its development was bound to be a little trickier than usual, but it hasn’t helped that the COVID-19 pandemic has also caused unforeseen problems for the two companies....

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull scribe David Koepp was one of many writers tasked with penning the script for the fifth installment of the title archeologist’s film series. Now, Koepp had opened up about what he believes to be one of the main issues facing the script during his time working with Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford, and Disney. Developer Behaviour Interactive is reportedly teasing a new killer for Dead by Daylight via a brief video. The clip shows a frosted, white panel door with three streaks of what appears to be blood, as the sound of footsteps thump in the background. Then suddenly the door slides open and the clip goes dark. As of right now the Dead by Daylight developer has not offered any hints as to what it is teasing, only confirming that this is official marketing material for the asymmetrical multiplayer game....
