The Destiny franchise has always had an issue with matchmaking, both in PvE and PvP. While Bungie has addressed the PvP matchmaking issue, solo PvE players are still left in the dark on some of the best activities Bungie has to offer. Fans of the series have wanted Nightfall and Raid matchmaking since the launch of Vault of Glass in vanilla Destiny. Now with Destiny 2, it’s even more apparent that a solid, well-designed matchmaking system is needed to get fans into the end-game activities that they would otherwise miss out on due to not having a fireteam of friends to play with....

This year has already claimed a number of games and their intended release dates. Watch Dogs Legion, Cyberpunk 2077, Marvel’s Avengers, and plenty more were just a few to have their launches shuffled around from their original early 2020 to dates closer to the end of the year instead. While the global pandemic may have had an impact on these decisions with studios working remotely rather than together in the same building, fans can now add Destiny 2: Beyond Light to the growing list to delays....

The annual Solstice of Heroes event finally returned to Destiny 2 earlier this week. As it has done each year, Solstice of Heroes celebrates the past year and features a ton of new cosmetics and the limited time activity in the European Aerial Zone. Capcom Producer Peter Fabiano has been building up the hype for Resident Evil Village’s upcoming release, claiming that it will be “the best survival horror game to date.” In an interview published in the latest PlayStation Official Magazine (via Wccftech), the producer goes into the development process behind Resident Evil Village and talks about some of the game’s key influences. He also notes that the team’s fondness for Resident Evil protagonist, Ethan Winters, is what made them decide to carry on his story instead of going in a different direction:...

Chiquita Evans has made gaming history by becoming the first woman to be drafted into the NBA2K League. She was pick no. 56 and joins Warriors Gaming Squad. The crowd went wild as Evans, who plays under the gamertag Chiquitae126, went up to the stage and promised to “be the best teammate” and take on “whatever role the team needs." The Chivalry 2 cross-play beta wraps up tomorrow at 11am EDT. The weekend-long beta was made available for free to all players on PC via Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, the Xbox One family of devices, and Xbox Series X|S, putting the game’s cross-play capabilities center stage in the final playable test before its June 8, 2021 global release. The beta showed off more content that what I had originally played during last month’s closed press event, such as duel servers, in which players duke it out in one-on-one duels; 64/40 player server options, which opens up the battlefield for massive and chaotic big-team battles; character customization; a free-for-all game mode; and same-platform parties, allowing you to group up with friends playing on the same platform....

The fans who are still enjoying Xbox 360 games after all these years will soon be able to use cloud saves without needing an Xbox Live Gold subscription. The different console makers have their own rules for cloud saves. Nintendo requires a Switch Online subscription for its cloud saves, even if some of the most important games cannot use it. Sony allows for up to 100GB worth of cloud saves, but only for PlayStation Plus subscribers....

With Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time set to be released in October, both Gamescon’s audience and its host were expecting to see him take to the stage.
