In an attempt to create a more open dialogue with the community, some Destiny 2 developers took to Bungie’s weekly blog to give some clues as to what is currently being worked on in the studio. In the latest “This Week at Bungie” blog post, Destiny 2 sandbox design lead Josh Hamrick detailed some of the projects that the sandbox team is tackling currently, and provided an update on some upcoming changes that will make it to the game in the coming months....

Players who pre-order Destiny 2’s Forsaken DLC will receive what’s called the Cayde’s Stash bonus. Previously, developer Bungie had listed what that bonus pack includes, but now Bungie has shown off many of the contents in Cayde’s Stash, comprised of an exotic ornament, shader, exotic emote, and exotic ship. As the name suggests, the bonus content is all themed around Cayde-6, one of the fan favorite characters of the franchise who meets his doom at the start of the campaign of Destiny 2: Forsaken....

As usual, the Destiny 2’s next season trailer dropped one week away from release. And as usual, it showed us what the next season will be about, a bunch of interesting new chase exotics, and some of the big new features for the season (namely a transmog system that has been over monetized, according to players). But there was one big surprise in yesterday’s trailer that nobody saw coming, and that was the existence of baby Fallen....

CD Projekt Red’s co-founder, Marcin Iwinski, delivered a personal statement explaining what led Cyberpunk 2077 to its disastrous launch, citing issues relating to last-gen console technology and Covid-19 restrictions. Prior to its full release, review copies of Cyberpunk 2077 were strictly for the PC until December 8th, one of a few red flags that the game was not suitable for the PS4 or Xbox One. A GIF posted on Reddit earlier today demonstrates how the game only streams in whatever environmental architecture would be visible to the player. A camera pan sees terrain enter and exit the scene depending on whether it’s needed at any given time....

Fear is the latest title to receive a makeover from a modder, who has announced that an AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack is on the way for the FPS survival horror. Taking on the feat is modder Rivarez, who revealed that the new textures had been created using the neural network Topaz A.I. Gigapixel to bring a greater sense of realism to the original game textures....

The newest season of Modern Warfare and Warzone has spiced up the multiplayer meta by adding two unique, powerful weapons into the game. The AS-VAL is an assault rifle with high recoil but great damage and rate of fire, making it a unique blend that fills a relatively empty niche in Call of Duty’s array of weapons. While it will almost certainly be nerfed due to its excessive bullet penetration, it will still be a gun to look out for....

The ongoing saga of Cyberpunk 2077 has yet to reach any sort of conclusion. While CD Projekt Red says players have not uncovered everything in Cyberpunk 2077, neither, it seems, has Poland’s Consumer Protection Agency. The Polish CPA, known as UOKiK, has begun monitoring and investigating CD Projekt Red regarding Cyberpunk 2077. The investigation represents possible significant repercussions to CD Projekt Red if it is discovered that the company is not doing enough to satisfy consumers who were not satisfied with Cyberpunk 2077....

It’s confirmed HBO’s The Last of Us TV series will boast the talent of Neil Druckmann and Kantemir Balagov. While more details on those all-important casting announcements have yet to be revealed, showrunner Craig Mazin noted that there will be news on the show’s development “soon enough”. Mazin’s tidbit of information was actually an impromptu response to a completely different matter. The Chernobyl creator had previously tweeted a gif accompanied by the words “7 days”, which attracted attention from fans after The Last of Us’ director Neil Druckmann liked it....

The unique but dark vision that comes with the Cyberpunk genre has been very popular with science fiction fans since the release of Blade Runner in 1982. However, there aren’t a lot of video games that are set in similar dystopian worlds. Players around the globe were likely disappointed when it was recently announced that Cyberpunk 2077 was being delayed once again. When it comes to story and lore, Dark Souls is a game that keeps its cards close to its chest. There are only a small handful of cutscenes in the game, so players have to actively seek out information about the world that they are playing in. One of the few cutscenes in the game occurs at the very start....
