Night City might be a futuristic place, but the homage to the Wild West is positively tangible. Cyberpunk 2077 made sure to include cowboy boots, hats, leather, rusty metal, classic tattoos, scars, swagger, and every other kind of thing to remind you that this environment of lawlessness is what the Old West was all about. Oh, and revolvers! Don’t forget about the revolvers! Whether you’re ready to duel a cyberpsycho one-on-one or need to fire off six rounds into a posse of enemies, these guns don’t just fit the genre, they work really well in combat, giving you the firing rate of a pistol with the damage of a shotgun....

The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is not only vibrant and filled with surprising details, but also inhabited by some of the most incredible characters. It’s almost impossible not to get attached to the many figures met in Night City, due to how all of them have their own humane problems and quirky personalities. In that sense, the game really has successfully delivered. The Rogue One and Dr. Strange actor Mads Mikkelsen discusses working with Hideo Kojima on the forthcoming Death Stranding, calling the director a “master.” While Death Stranding’s trailer featuring filmmaker Guillermo del Toro was certainly a highlight when it comes to fans learning that Hideo Kojima and the Pan’s Labyrinth director were able to continue a working relationship after the demise of their Silent Hills project, some would argue that the reveal of the Danish actor and Hannibal star Mads Mikkelsen as the game’s antagonist was just as exciting....

Arkane Studios’ Deathloop is shaping up to be an action FPS unlike anything else. Though Deathloop was recently delayed to 2021, the game has been making plenty of appearances at recent PlayStation showcase events to highlight it’s unique premise and gameplay. Now, Arkane Studios gave a more detailed look at how Deathloop’s world and gameplay meld to create a puzzle-like environment. The brand new Deathloop trailer shown at the September PS5 showcase event detailed brand new gameplay, new villains, and showed off a few of Cole’s weapons and abilities in action....

With remakes of popular games come the hope that any originally cut content might make its way back into the fold. Sadly, that isn’t going to be the case with the upcoming Demon’s Souls remake on PS5. In an interview with Polygon this morning, developer Bluepoint Games confirmed that the cracked sixth Archstone found in the PS3 original won’t suddenly be restored. “There are only five unbroken stones in the Nexus,” said Gavin Moore, creative director on the remake....

As the title’s November 12 release date draws ever closer, Bluepoint Games has slowly but surely been offering more details about the upcoming Demon’s Souls remake. The challenging fantasy game already got a brand new gameplay trailer last week, highlighting its brutal combat, gargantuan bosses, and striking 4K visuals, alongside Bluepoint detailing some smaller, quality of life additions to the remake recently as well. Today, the game’s creative director, Gavin Moore, hopped onto the PlayStation Blog to discuss all things Demon’s Souls, specifically highlighting the game’s character creation suite and photo mode....

Earlier this week we published a discussion piece talking about Destiny’s Hunter class, and how Bungie took it from bottom of the pecking order to the top with new content like the Crota’s End raid, Trials of Osiris, and Prison of Elders. However, that change was only with regards to PvE; for PvP, the Hunter class in Destiny has always been a force to be reckoned with, no matter if players are using the Gunslinger or Bladedancer subclass....

Although the major changes for Destiny’s future are likely being saved for its next retail release, which could be as soon as this year, Bungie still wants players to know they are listening. Yes, the developer has made some questionable decisions with Destiny and its first DLC expansion The Dark Below, but their goal is not to repeat those mistakes. Designer Luke Smith took to the Destiny forums on NeoGAF to tell players that the response to The Dark Below has informed future design decisions....

We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of March 4th. For Destiny players, this week was all about looking back, learning a little more about the Taken King expansion as part of the first Bungie Ride Along. During these Ride Alongs, which will include a look at the King’s Fall raid next week, developers at Bungie hope to shed light on some of the ideas that went into crafting each unique experience in Destiny: The Taken King....

Destiny 2 contains three subclasses for every one of its Hunter, Warlock, and Titan classes. However, players will need to unlock the second and third subclasses while playing that game under certain prerequisites. The first subclasses received in Destiny 2 will occur automatically by following the game’s story. After playing the opening mission, Homecoming, which causes Guardians to lose their powers, the next few missions involve stumbling out of the Last City and finding the game’s new social space, The Farm....

Season 13 has started out strong in Destiny 2, and is seemingly leaving a much better impression compared to Season of the Hunt. Season of the Chosen has brought with it not only a new activity, but also three Strikes. Two of them are returning Destiny 1 Strikes while the other, Proving Grounds, is new. Yet, one of the season’s highlight activities is yet to be fully revealed by Bungie. That hasn’t stopped the community from digging around in the game files to get a glimpse of the mysterious Exotic quest before it releases....

Destiny 2 added a new pursuit for hardcore PvP fans with the start of Season 3—Redrix’s Claymore, a Legendary pulse rifle with a completely unique and powerful perk set. To get it, players had to make a long grind through the Competitive playlist’s ranking system. As revealed recently, players who were able to get their hands on Redrix’s Claymore belong to a pretty exclusive group of fewer than 9,000 people who have been able to earn it....

Bungie has another surprise in store for Destiny 2 beta players, announcing that The Farm social area will be opening briefly to explore tomorrow morning. Destiny 2’s beta has been running now for several days, though it only just opened itself to all console players rather than just pre-orderers. And while players have so far enjoyed the beta’s story mission, Strike, and Crucible, there’s no social area in which to mingle....

Today saw the long-awaited reveal of Destiny 2, as Bungie broadcast the game’s reveal trailer and gave fans a glimpse of the Cabal invasion of Earth. Now, the wait begins for our first look at the game in action — but there’s word that we’ll see gameplay sooner rather than later. Bungie has announced plans to hold a gameplay livestream on May 18. The broadcast will apparently focus on “a variety of fun, action-oriented activities” that players can experience in Destiny 2, and will also shed light on the “brand-new, epic adventure” that’s in store....

Just a day after the launch of its second expansion, Destiny 2 has already hit a snag with the Crucible Matchmaking changes that were included in the new update. The improvements that came with update 1.2.0 were aimed at helping solo players stand a better chance when matched against Fireteams. Because the new system isn’t working as planned, Bungie has decided to revert the changes. Matchmaking will now work as it did before the update....

After a hard fought week, the second Faction Rally for season 2 has come to a close. Earlier today, it was revealed that New Monarchy once again took the top spot, which gives it three wins in a row. The victory means that all Destiny 2 players who pledged loyalty can score the exclusive New Monarchy flavored pulse rifle for only 1,000 glimmer. Players from Future War Cult or Dead Orbit can still pick up the pulse rifle, though the price is considerably higher at 50,000 glimmer....

A couple of Destiny’s strikes are incorrectly dropping loot that are at lower Light levels than intended, and developer Bungie is looking into a solution. Destiny: Rise of Iron continues the “Smart Loot” system established in The Taken King and built upon in the April Update earlier this year. That is, weapons and armor should always be dropping at slightly higher Light levels than a player’s current level. That system is working as intended, but there are a few outlier strikes that are bugged....

[HTML1] After Lost Planet 2 failed to bank significant cash for Capcom, many thought that the series wouldn’t be seen again. Much to everyone’s surprise, however, it was confirmed back in April that Lost Planet 3 would be arriving at some point in 2013, but it wouldn’t be the same old song and dance that consumers largely ignored back in 2010. Instead, the third installment will take the series in an entirely different direction; featuring everything from first-person mech battles to survival-horror elements....

Nickelodeon has released the previously unaired pilot for Avatar: The Last Airbender via its Twitch channel. The broadcast is currently available to watch for free in Nick’s archived broadcasts on Twitch, and features an early, different take on what would become the award-winning Avatar series. The pilot was broadcast as part of Creating the Legend, a special on Twitch that detailed the creation of the series. Running for roughly 70 minutes including the pilot, Creating the Legend also features interviews, development art, shorts, and other behind-the-scenes details, narrated by series creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino....

Watch Dogs Legion has been out in the world for under a week, and many players are already having a lot of fun exploring an alternate version of London. The Watch Dogs franchise is known for evolving each next installment in its franchise and turning the idea of what it means to be a Watch Dogs game on its head. For Legion, a major selling point of the game is that players can recruit and play as any NPC, whenever they want....
