The remake of Demon’s Souls is one of the flagship PlayStation 5 titles that is sure to attract a wealth of newcomers to the brutal franchise. While veterans will still have their own hurdles to jump through, new fans might need a bit of guidance in order to tackle one of the PS5’s best launch titles. The Soulsborne games are known for their high difficulty and brutally punishing gameplay. Demon’s Souls, the first entry to the series, is no exception and definitely benefits from a helping hand for new players who might find some of the mechanics a bit confusing or overwhelming....

Although Destiny borrows heavily from games within both the FPS and MMO genres, developer Bungie also tried to cut a new path for their title thanks to some interesting systems. Chief among those was a leveling system that used an armor rating called ‘Light’ to determine a player’s current level, thereby locking the progression behind loot drops. For Destiny: The Taken King, however, Bungie has learned the error of their ways, and they have done away with the light-based leveling system....

Destiny players, Xur has once again returned to the Tower and brought with him a selection of exotic goodies. For only the second time since the launch of Destiny: The Taken King, Xur has an exotic weapon on sale, but more exciting than that, he has one of the new Taken King weapons. This week, players can find Xur in the Crucible area of the Tower, next to the Crucible Handler....

At the beginning of Shadowkeep, it seemed like the mysterious Darkness enemy was finally making its presence known in Destiny 2. Then, as the seasons went on, that tease at the end of the “Beyond” mission in Shadowkeep seemed to fall flat. Season of the Undying ended up dealing with a Vex invasion, and then both Season of Dawn and Season of the Worthy brought back the Cabal once again. Season of Arrivals seemed like it would deal with the Darkness directly, but so far it’s still been distractions with the Taken and the Hive....

Although anticipation for the Festival of the Lost was relatively high amongst Destiny 2 players because of the new armor ornaments included with the event, some of that enthusiasm has died down now that the content is finally here. Specifically, some Destiny 2 players are frustrated by how Festival of the Lost prioritizes content outside of the Haunted Forest rather than putting the spotlight on the event-specific mode. One of Destiny 2 players’ biggest complaints within that context is the low drop rates for Cipher Decoders, which are a crucial part of the Festival of the Lost event....

This weekend, Destiny 2 launched its second proper raid and before too long players began to explore its secrets. At launch, Scourge of the Past raiders were mostly focused on claiming the title of World’s First, but now that Tier 1 has nabbed the achievement players are focused on exploration. As with any Destiny 2 raid, there is at least one hidden chest in Scourge of the Past and players have already found it....

In Destiny 2’s Season of the Worthy, the game adds two exotics, Tommy’s Matchbook auto rifle and The Fourth Horseman shotgun. The Fourth Horseman is a returning exotic from Destiny 1, albeit it works a bit differently in the sequel. The exotic quest for The Fourth Horseman is expected to go live on the upcoming March 17th reset based on the latest “Next Week in Destiny!” in-game splash message. The Fourth Horseman in Destiny 2 shares the same “Thunderer” perk as the original version, which allows for faster and full-auto fire....

It’s the weekend, which means that Xur has returned for Destiny 2 players to spend their Legendary Shards on exotic items. Read on for Game Rant’s post detailing Xur’s location, which exotic armor and weapons he has for sale, and whether or not any of those items are worth buying. This week, Destiny 2 players can find Xur on planet Earth, in the European Dead Zone. Specifically, Xur is up on a ridge in the Winding Cove area....

One of the common points of debate among players from Destiny 1 was the lack of matchmaking in endgame PvE content like the raids and the weekly Nightfall strike. One cosplayer showed off a spin on one of the most visually interesting Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Sun and Moon, the Pikachu imitator Mimikyu. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled just kicked off its first Grand Prix event, which are seasonal events that will give players the limited-time rewards for completing challenges. These rewards include new characters that Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled players can add to their roster, with the first batch of DLC characters representing the Nitro Squad. Future Grand Prix events will add even more DLC characters to Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and while some have already been confirmed, a recent datamine posted on Resetera has revealed all the other characters coming to the game....

Cyberpunk 2077 PC gamers were a bit shocked to discover that the game didn’t run as well as they expected on their beefy PC rigs. Part of the reason is CD Projekt Red’s ambitious decision to push the limits of current graphics technology, while the other is undoubtedly the lack of further optimizations and tweaks to boost performance. Regardless, there are ways PC gamers can drastically increase their FPS averages with a few simple tweaks....
