Kojima Productions debuted a trailer for Death Stranding Director’s Cut during Sony’s latest State of Play – revealing several big changes coming to PS5 and a release date of September 24. Some of the biggest upgrades include new melee combat mechanics, new weapons, and a whole slew of new story missions. Death Stranding was a divisive game when it launched last year, and the Director’s Cut doesn’t look to radically change up the experience....

Arkane Studios has done a lot to build the 60’s aesthetic in the upcoming title Deathloop, with the most recent trailer from Sony’s State of Play really pushing one specific aspect of that era. This latest action packed trailer for Deathloop also has a striking comparison to the stylings of the James Bond films that ran with this aesthetic in that same time period. Beyond a simple visual interpretation of the series, this could point to some interesting implications for how the story of Deathloop might unfold as well....

For a game that has lasted as long as Destiny 2, with consistent events and updates coming to try to bring new experiences to finish, any developer is bound to run into a few design hiccups. Bungie has recently had to auto-complete a task in the latest questline for the Iron Banner event, that revolved around getting kills with a specific type of weapons. According to the Bungie Help Twitter account, the auto-complete was done as a result of player feedback, specifically due to the way that the quest was changing player behavior during the PvP event....

After a short delay, Bungie has released a new update 2.12 patch for Destiny 2: Beyond Light. The patch, also known as hotfix 3.1.0.1, fixes a variety of different aspects currently affecting play in Destiny 2. With an original release back in 2017, Destiny 2 has seen plenty of expansions, change-ups, and fixes. In late 2020, the Beyond Light revamped the player experience with additional subclasses and a different destination map....

The full gameplay reveal of Destiny 2 is just days away, and in the run up to showing off more about the sequel to Destiny, a new promotional image appears to have just unveiled a new weapon class. That weapon class could be a submachine gun, a type of weapon that has been rumored since last year. The image comes from a gif uploaded by the official Destiny Twitter account, teasing the Destiny 2 Gameplay Premiere on Thursday, May 18th....

Solstice of Heroes has recently kicked off in Destiny 2, and players are likely grinding for the Magnificent armor set and its glows. But while there are still things to do in the game currently, fans are likely wondering what the future holds for the next expansion and beyond. While Destiny 2 players still have one more bunker to unlock as part of the Season of the Worthy, others are trying to figure out what the endgame of this quarter’s content will be. Now, a datamine of the game’s files has offered some insight into where the partnership with Rasputin is going. Within the Destiny Tracker there is a faction reputation bar for The Warmind that is independent of anything currently going on with the bunkers in Season of the Worthy....

When Destiny 2: Beyond Light launched, Bungie promised that next-gen upgrades were coming soon. “Soon” has now arrived and players on Xbox Series X and on PS5 can now get the best version of the game, along with several upgrades available to everyone. Bungie detailed via a post on its site all of the various features and updates that launched today. The first feature Bungie listed was that Destiny 2 players may now play cross-generation with those on the same console family, meaning that Xbox One players can play with Xbox Series X/S players and that PS4 players can play with PS5 players....

Another season has recently released for Destiny 2, and with it, a new event has been introduced. Named Contact, this Public Event tasks players with grabbing Motes from dead targets and banking them to summon a final boss. The parallels to Gambit are obvious, but the way to approach this event is much different than Gambit’s PvE offering. Players will need to utilize Champion mods, bring powerful weapons, and coordinate with others if they want to consistently complete this chaotic event....

With The Taken King now available, many Guardians are working diligently to acquire the Destiny expansion’s numerous exotic weapons for their arsenals. In order to obtain these exotics, players are tasked with taking down various enemies, including Oryx, or completing specific quests given by Destiny Tower visitors. One of these weapons, the Chaperone Exotic Shotgun, can be sought once players complete the main missions in The Taken King. Similar to many past exotic weapons, players will be given a series of tasks to complete in order to obtain the Chaperone shotgun....

Classic LucasArts games including Grim Fandango, Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle will no longer be exclusive to PS4. All three popular games will be available for Xbox later this year. The news broke on Twitter after Tim Schafer told an IGN reporter that three of his classic games would break out of PS4 exclusivity. The dark cities, neon lights, and other synthwave aesthetics of the cyberpunk scene are alive and well in 2020. For gaming, this is in large part due to the upcoming release of Cyberpunk 2077. You really can’t throw a stone without hitting a video game title within the cyberpunk genre, which warrants mixed results, with most fall short of being worth players’ time. However, for fans lamenting over the fact that last week marked the original release of Cyberpunk 2077 (which was pushed back to September), developer ION LANDS is here to lend a hand with its latest title, Cloudpunk, available now for PC....

Jeffrey Wright, who will be starring as Commissioner Gordon in Matt Reeves’ upcoming film The Batman, has offered more insight on how the film will portray the evolution of the classic DC superhero and the Gotham City that surrounds him. According to The Hollywood Reporter, during an interview with SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show Wright hinted at how the film was approaching their take on the Batman mythos. “My take is — the way I explain what we’re doing is, like with any film, we’re working together to create a mood, to create an idea, a setting, a tone,” Wright said....
