Destiny’s Patch 2.0.1 issued earlier this week introduced many changes into the game, including the removal of shotguns’ Shot Package perk and changes to the economy. As is common when patches come to a game, bugs and glitches get introduced, such as Iron Banner’s Tempered buff (which provides reputation boosts that increase through the week) simply not working right now. Annoying for sure, but Destiny players have discovered another bug that could be game breaking....

Atlus has released additional details regarding the Nintendo Switch-exclusive “Ideal Voices” coming to Catherine: Full Body in July. For those unfamiliar with Catherine, the “Ideal Voices” is a feature in the game that allows the player to swap out all Catherine’s voice with a different one. On the PlayStation 4 release, the “Ideal Voices” DLC featured nine different voices for Catherine, all voiced by prominent Japanese voice actresses. Last month, Atlus announced that the game would receive three additional “Ideal Voices” that would be exclusive to the Switch port....

Chadwick Boseman may have left the realm of the living far too early at the age of 43, but the Black Panther star’s legacy will be further cemented with the release of his starring role in Netflix film Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, which will stand as his final onscreen performance. Netflix has released the first images previewing Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, a historical drama set in 1927 Chicago, in which Viola Davis co-stars as the eponymous Ma Rainey, a popular Southern singer dubbed the “Mother of Blues,” who’s come to the Second City for a crucial recording session; an endeavor complicated by her ambitious, machinations-making trumpeter, Levee (Boseman), and clashes with her manager—and other elements of the white-dominated music industry—over the creative direction of the music....

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Warner Bros. opted to first release Christopher Nolan’s Tenet in theaters internationally before gradually opening the spy film in the United States starting in early September. Now, the studio reports Tenet has surpassed expectations by earning $53 million-plus in its opening weekend in 41 international markets. Tenet debuted in theaters on August 26 in seventy countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, and the United Kingdom....

First Strike is the first Riot-backed VALORANT tournament featuring the best teams in regions around the world. It’s a massive step forward for the budding esport as eight teams will eventually battle it out for a chance at the $100,000 prize. The first leg of First Strike happened recently where 128 North American teams participated in a single-elimination bracket to determine the 16 teams headed to the first closed qualifier. After five rounds of play, it was Cloud9 Blue who emerged victorious and secured the number one seed for the Nerd Street Gamers closed qualifier....

As the name suggests, Immortals Fenyx Rising adapts Greek mythos for a modern audience, helping gods and fighting monsters throughout the game. Unsurprisingly, the same team that developed Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Ubisoft Quebec, is behind Immortals Fenyx Rising, and wanted to create a game that focused solely on the mythology of Greece. Though it only released in December 2020, Immortals Fenyx Rising has been well-received by fans and critics. Originally, the game was titled “Gods and Monsters,” but that didn’t stick....

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive recently received a new update courtesy of Valve. The updates saw the game undergo some under-the-hood weapons re-balancing as well as some map changes. The major takeaway from these weapons changes would be for gamers who enjoy playing CS:GO for competitive play. CS:GO’s April 10 patch tweaked the games assault rifles, adjusting the SG553’s rate of fire and reducing the rifle’s accuracy. Additionally, the AUG’s accuracy has also been changed, making it more effective while un-scoped and marginally less effectively while scoped....

The release date for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on PlayStation 4 is so close that the publisher Activision and developer Vicarious Visions recently put out a launch trailer for the compendium to celebrate its impending availability on the Sony console. Now, though, it looks as if the PS4 may not be the only platform to host the title, as an online retail listing points to the possibility of the trilogy of games coming to the Xbox One later this year....

Ever since CD Projekt Red decided to finally put out its gameplay demo of Cyberpunk 2077 from E3 2018 for public viewing, gamers have been clamoring for as much new information about the forthcoming action-RPG as they can get. Recently, the developer discussed the new title’s side quests, saying that players should expect for them to feel like complete and fulfilling stories whenever they’re finished. Regarding the matter, it looks to be that any of the stories, characters, or themes which aren’t covered or explored in depth throughout the main plot line of Cyberpunk 2077 will be more fully fleshed out in the game’s side quests....

I love cyberpunk. No, no, not that glitzy and problematic new thing from the people who made that “eh” fantasy trilogy - the genre itself. While often the playground of boring old men who want to fuck robots, cyberpunk can (and has) been used as a vector to deliver some of the hardest-hitting sci-fi out there. The best cyberpunk fiction asks hard questions about increasing corporate regulation of our lives and the encroaching creep of technological advancement, and problematizes these through far-flung dystopias that feel eerily similar to our own society....

It’s been just a couple of days since Cyberpunk 2077 released and, as expected, the game has some bugs and glitches that need to be patched. Luckily, CDPR took care of the problems that actually made the game unsafe to play, however, there is one glitch that somehow makes sense in Night City’s setting. That’s because this particular glitch will give every NPC a handgun—children included. Back in August, we reported specifically about the gun culture in Cyberpunk and how concept art coordinator, Ben Andrews said, “Everybody has a gun because violence has been taken to the extremes....

A surprise is coming for fans of DC: Super Hero Girls - their own video game. Announced during the Nintendo Direct, DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power is headed to the Nintendo Switch. Producer Lauren Faust took to Twitter to share her reaction to the announcement, glad to see the franchise getting more love since her departure from WB. This is truly a huge achievement for any creator to see their idea come to life not just in a tv show but now in a game....
