The Cyberpunk world has been around since well before Cyberpunk 2077, with fans of the games and literature frequently citing the source material when discussing Night City, the characters therein, and what dealings are going on between the businesses and the inhabitants. But V is a new variable to this existing equation. As the player, you’re given control of someone really just opening their eyes for the first time in this world....

Cyberpunk 2077’s Mr. Hands is a mysterious figure in Night City, only shown to players with a shadow obscuring the majority of his body. The latest bug to surface, however, reveals the elusive character’s face – and it’s not what most people were expecting. Apparently, Mr. Hands got his name because it’s all you can see of him during your video chats. His entire body is – for the most part – hidden by shadows, except for his gesticulating hands....

Thanks to a Twitter exchange between voice actor Troy Baker and Marvel’s Bill Rosemann, rumors started swirling that a Daredevil video game was in development for next-generation consoles. Unfortunately for fans of the Man Without Fear though, that rumor has since been denied by Rosemann himself. Taking to Twitter, Rosemann confirmed that there is no Daredevil game in active development at this time. However, Rosemann did say that he and Troy Baker have a “shared desire” when it comes to making a Daredevil video game....

Hideo Kojima reveals that Death Stranding is aiming for ‘photorealistic graphics’ and that he and Guillermo del Toro are ‘collaborating on a deep level’ on the Hollywood director’s character. Earlier this month, Hideo Kojima revealed that his upcoming game, Death Stranding, uses the same game engine as Horizon Zero Dawn. But fans shouldn’t expect the veteran game developer’s new title to end up looking similar to Guerrilla Games’ Pixar-esque robot-dinosaur game, as Death Stranding’s graphics will be going in another direction....

Metroid Prime’s deleted monologue preceding the events of the game has reappeared online. In 2002, Nintendo released Metroid Prime, one of the company’s most acclaimed titles. Like Super Mario 64, Metroid Prime brought its franchise into the third dimension with fully explorable lands. The game put players behind the visor of Samus as she traversed an alien-infested world. Metroid Prime spawned a successful trilogy, with a fourth game coming at some point....

Wall Street is not necessarily the indicator of good economic news for a company, but in this case, there’s reason to be hopeful, at least for GameStop. After posting slightly disappointing results for their holiday sales, GameStop’s stock is rallying to heights unseen in years. GameStop Corp’s stock price started the day at just under $20 per share but it’s since shot up to $32.90 as of the time of this right–an increase of roughly 65%....

It’s a huge month for Destiny players with tons of new information regarding Destiny 2 releasing at a rapid pace and a beta looming in just over two weeks. There may not be a lot going on in Destiny 1, but things are heating up as far as its sequel is concerned. But never fear: Destiny 1 is still going strong even if Destiny 2 is stealing all of the attention....

Proving Grounds is officially out in Destiny 2. It’s a brand-new strike that is added in Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen featuring a huge Cabal tank and us defeating the chosen champions of Caiatl while representing the Vanguard. Proving Grounds Strike was released on March 23, 2021, on a weekly reset where it was tied to the seasonal story quest, Challenger’s Proving, which was the final step of the quest....

Today, Bungie detailed its plan for future Destiny 2 content releases starting with Black Armory next week and running through the remainder of Year 2. Most importantly, the studio finally confirmed a few details on the new raid included with the Black Armory DLC. While Bungie wasn’t ready to give everything away, like the name or recommended power level, the developer did reveal a date and setting. On December 7th, three days after the release of Black Armory, players will head to the Old City to take on a new endgame challenge....

The latest Destiny 2 update continues to improve the game, providing changes that players have asked for. Perhaps the biggest changes included in Update 1.1.2 are the addition of Masterwork armor and the reconfiguring of raid rewards. Masterwork armor is now available, meaning any Legendary armor piece has the chance to drop as a Masterwork version. Like Masterwork weapons, Masterwork armor gives a unique perk benefit, which is extra damage resistance while having a Super activated....

[UPDATE: Bungie has decided to separate the Niobe Labs puzzle from the Bergusia Forge unlock process. Instead, the forge will unlock at 2pm PT on Jan 9th.] After a brief holiday break, Destiny 2 has returned to its regularly scheduled Black Armory programming for 2019. This week, according to Bungie’s DLC road map, is set to feature a new Niobe Labs activity in addition to the fourth and final forge....

CD Projekt Red staff are angry at management regarding the development and release of Cyberpunk 2077. Staffers are voicing their anger at how they’ve been treated and the potential damage Cyberpunk 2077’s troubled release may do to the company’s reputation. The long-awaited RPG officially released on December 10, after multiple delays. Since then, the game has been plagued with numerous bugs, particularly with base models of the PS4 and Xbox One....

It’s an odd feeling, reporting on a Nintendo-based fan project like the Fire Emblem Board Game. That’s because, as wonderfully-crafted and obviously filled with passion a project like this is, every bit of media that reports on it brings it one step closer to being taken down by Nintendo. So if you’re a Fire Emblem fan, you’d better be quick to snatch this board game up before Nintendo puts it into a state of permadeath....

Chrono Trigger is considered to be one of the greatest video games of all time, but Square Enix hasn’t done much with the game in recent years. There was a terrible Steam port of Chrono Trigger that barely worked, but Square Enix hasn’t shown any interest in bringing the game to other systems....

The EULA agreement for Civilization VI has been changed to allow for the collection of large amounts of personal information from players. The information now legally eligible for collection includes age, gender, date of birth, location, and IP address. The news follows last summer’s revelation that the game (among several others) included the psuedo-spyware Red Shell, which served as an ad tracker. Civilization 6 has a lot of moving parts and a lot of strategies to consider when jumping into a game, and that list only grows as the game gets new expansions and content. Alongside the Ethiopia DLC Pack, a new Secret Societies Game Mode was added to the game which added a new layer of strategy to the already intricate game. Four Secret Societies were added, and each came with their own skill tree that unlocks powerful benefits as the game progresses....

The replacement for the traditional San Diego Comic-Con, Comic-Con@Home, has just revealed their lineup of TV and film panels with two notable companies missing. As has been the case for all major conventions this year, there will be no traditional International San Diego Comic-Con in 2020 due to the global pandemic. In exchange, the event organizers opted to host a completely online and free event from July 22nd to the 26th....
