With Cyberpunk 2077 pushing its release date to December 10 this year, you might be concerned whether the anticipated game is facing yet another delay based on rumors swirling around. Rather than addressing these rumors, developer CD Projekt Red instead only reassured everyone that this date will stick for the time being. The upcoming action-RPG has been on everyone’s minds since its announcement back in 2012. It wasn’t until 2018 when a trailer was finally unveiled, along with some gameplay from the title....

Build-A-Bear Workshop expands its lineup of Pokemon plushies, giving fans the opportunity to purchase a Charmander stuffed animal with a variety of accessories. Last year, Build-A-Bear Workshop forged a relationship with The Pokemon Company, giving kids a chance to build their very own stuffed Pikachu companion, complete with a limited edition Pokemon trading card. Since that initial partnership, Pokemon has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity thanks to the success of Pokemon GO and the recent releases of Pokemon Sun and Moon, so it’s no surprise to see Build-A-Bear move forward with more stuffed Pokemon, with Charmander serving as the latest addition to the lineup....

ChinaJoy, the biggest video game conference in Asia, held its annual event last weekend with 150,000 gaming fans in attendance in Shanghai. Although there was nearly half the number of visitors this year, organizers say millions more watched the conference’s live streaming events from home. “We think this will help China and the world’s digital entertainment companies return to the track of rapid development as soon as possible, boost the confidence of the industry, help the industry to resume its normal,” Zhihai Han of Howell International Trade Fair told the BBC....

Control is not the kind of game that ends with its narrative. The highly anticipated release of Cris Tales has been delayed to 2021 as more time is needed to develop the game’s mechanics and account for player feedback. Announced in a blog post by Carlos Rocha Silva, CEO of Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK, Cris Tales was originally scheduled to release on November 17, with the development team citing the extra work needed due to Cris Tales unique time mechanics. Silva goes on to say that every character affected by the time mechanic needs different variations to show time’s effect, giving the developer extra work to focus on to ensure the player is getting the best experience....

The four of them own 34% of CD Projekt’s stock, and that 34% stake lost over a billion in value, dropping to around $3 billion total....
