The PC version of Death Stranding was released in July 2020 on Steam and the Epic Games Store, and according to a new report, it became publisher 505 Games’ biggest launch. Milan-based company Digital Bros, 505 Games’ parent company, has revealed Death Stranding’s revenue from last year in its latest financial report. 505 Games only distributes the PC version, while Sony handles Kojima’s work on PlayStation. During the accounting period from July by the end of 2020, Death Stranding generated $27 million (€23 million) on the platform....

Although Destiny 2: Beyond Light was delayed until November, developer Bungie is trying to keep with its in-game timeline as much as possible. So, this week the second part of the Evacuation Quest went live and with it the Traveler’s Chosen exotic sidearm. Bungie has designed the Evacuation quest as a sort of send-off for the destinations and content that will be entering the Destiny Content Vault in November. It sends players through some of the memorable Strikes from the various destinations, some of the cool Heroic Adventures, and on Mars, it tasks Guardians with jumping into some Escalation Protocol....

Destiny 2: Beyond Light introduces a new Darkness Subclass called Stasis. Since its release, Stasis has had a few changes to its effectiveness in an attempt to balance it with the rest of Destiny 2. Stasis gives Guardians the ability to wield cosmic ice powers to slow and freeze their enemies across the Sol System. Compared to the Light Subclasses, the Darkness Subclass, Stasis, has been a popular choice among Guardians....

Activision says Destiny 2 will launch in 2017 and that the publisher is working with Bungie to establish a better way to deliver additional content to fans. With the first of Destiny’s new raid Challenge modes launching this week and the only thing left on the foreseeable horizon being the return of Sparrow Racing League in December, fans are already starting to talk about what’s next. That conversation leads to Destiny 2, which Bungie confirmed is in development and slated for release in 2017....

Destiny 2 is off to a successful launch week, with developer Bungie reporting that there are now 1.2 million concurrent players online playing the sci-fi shooter. That’s an impressive number of players all actively logging in and playing through Destiny 2. Bungie and Activision have yet to announce any sales numbers in regards to Destiny 2, although judging by the game’s player population, it’s safe to assume that the developer and publisher behind the game are enjoying a great level of success....

In Destiny’s past, the raids have been one-off endgame encounters that send players through a series of trials and boss fights culminating in a final showdown with a big bad. But for Destiny 2’s first raid, Bungie is trying something a little different. Through the introduction of raid lairs, Destiny 2 is continuing the story of the Leviathan raid by sending players into new areas on the ship. The main raid saw fireteams venture through the main courtyard and proving grounds, before eventually tackling Calus in his throne room....

Although Bungie did not talk about the event during the Destiny 2 gameplay reveal, the developer did confirm that Trials of Osiris fans will have something to enjoy in the sequel. More specifically, director Luke Smith revealed that those Crucible players will not have to wait long to get their hands on a Trials-like mode. According to Smith and Project Lead Mark Noseworthy, Destiny 2 players can expect this “Trials-like” game mode within the sequel’s launch window....

Alongside the return of Sparrow Racing, Destiny’s holiday Dawning event also introduced Strike Scoring, a new way for players to experience Strike playlists. As the name implies, Strike Scoring gives the fireteam points for every Strike action, and medals for completing unique acts like killing three enemies in a row with a primary or creating orbs with a Super kill. Among the many medals to collect in Destiny’s Strike Scoring, arguably the hardest is the Rainbow Medal....

Two weeks ago, Capcom confirmed that as a result of a personal data breach last November, the private data of roughly 390,000 users had been compromised. The company, which was targeted by a ransomware attack, had thousands of records stolen from its servers, including the names and addresses of customers and former staff. Now, the Osaka-based company has issued a press release in which it addresses the cyberattack as well as its current financial situation....

CD Projekt Red has been the target of a cyber attack. Hackers have threatened to release information including source code for an unreleased version of The Witcher 3. CD Projekt Red hasn’t exactly been painted in the best light since the release of Cyberpunk 2077. The bad news keeps coming for the Polish developer as it revealed via a statement this morning that it has been the victim of a cyber attack....

Apex Legends developer Respawn has released patch notes for update 1.53 detailing the recent changes to the game, including changes to the Weekly Challenges and the Legend meta. After struggling for a brief period, these changes are sure to bring Apex players back in droves. The update itself is pretty unassuming at a grand total of about 4 GB, but it introduces a plethora of interesting changes to the game. Chiefly among these changes is the reversion of Weekly Challenges back to the Season 6 format, allowing players to earn their Weekly Challenges quite easily compared to the slog that Season 7 challenges initially required....
