The Nintendo Switch is due to receive more retro titles in 2018, in the form of a new Sega Ages collection that intends to bring fifteen classic Sega games to the system. Sega made the announcement during their Sega FES event in Japan, where they revealed that the first three games coming to the Nintendo Switch starting this summer will be Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star, and Thunder Force III. The official Sega Twitter page later confirmed that Gain Ground and Alex Kidd in Miracle World would also be joining the lineup of Sega Ages titles for the Nintendo Switch....

Crystal Dynamics has issued a statement in response to the dwindling online player base for Marvel’s Avengers, promising new content that will bring back the crowds. Marvel’s Avengers is an action RPG with live service elements woven into its multiplayer content. Despite being a game about superheroes, Marvel’s Avengers focuses on defeating mobs and acquiring loot. The Dungeons & Dragons Curse of Strahd: Revamped Premium Edition was just revealed, boasting a range of deluxe items and updates to the adventure module originally released back in 2016. Microsoft has announced the next batch of games coming to Xbox Game Pass and they are all pretty high quality. The main addition here is Deliver Us The Moon, which will be heading to both console and PC Game Pass day and date with its console premiere. The release of the Demon’s Souls remake has been glorious. New secrets have been discovered and new strategies have been worked out. One of the newest strategies sets players up to be able to kill every boss with a single hit. Well, most bosses at least because the tactic requires players to kill a few bosses. After all is said and done, players will have a broken game, unlimited levels, and a sword so powerful that the False King will be quivering in his boots....

Demon’s Souls is full of terrifying enemies and powerful foes, and players will have to face those demons if they want to progress through the game. Though the whole thing has a dreadful atmosphere to it, one of the more notably unsettling levels is the third Archstone, the Tower of Latria. While there’s plenty that could be said about what makes this area so horrific, one of the key contributing factors is the Mind Flayer enemies that are unique to this Archstone....
