One incredibly skillful Dark Souls 3 player finishes the most recent entry in From Software’s notoriously difficult action-RPG franchise in under 2 hours. Following one Dark Souls 3 fan’s recent feat of beating the game’s first boss using only fists, a Korean player has now defeated From Software’s title entirely, and has set a brand new world record completion time for the action-RPG in the process. According to the gamer’s YouTube handle, his name is Jung Ho Min, and he has been recording his speedruns ever since Dark Souls 3’s release in the East last month, with the latest playthrough clocking in at about 1 hour and 56 minutes....

With Dark Souls: Remastered less than a month away, fans of the popular RPG are patiently waiting to return to the deep lore and famously difficult gameplay developer From Software first delivered over seven years ago. Now it seems that fans won’t have to wait quite as long to get a taste of the updated game as Bandi Namco prepares to begin network tests. Announced by Bandai Namco today via press release, Xbox One and PS4 players will be able to test out Dark Souls: Remastered on May 11th and May 12th....

It seems to be a new trend nowadays for celebrities to sell their likeness to mobile game developers to make a quick, but sizable, buck. We’ve seen it done in the past with both Britney Spears and Katy Perry getting mobile games from Glu Mobile, the company that really started this trend with their Kim Kardashian: Hollywood title, and now developer Pocket Gems is throwing their hat in the ring with actress and singer Demi Lovato....

Demon’s Souls’ reputation precedes it. Anyone at all familiar with the Soulslike subgenre that spawned from it knows the FromSoftware action-RPG can be incredibly brutal by design, a fact that remains true with Bluepoint Games’ PS5 remake. However, one player has found a way to turn that brutality back on Demon’s Souls and become capable of killing every enemy with a single hit. There are intended ways to mitigate the game’s challenge, or at least better equip players for it....

Scrupulous Destiny fans comb new footage to catch screens of one or two unannounced exotics coming to Destiny with Rise of Iron, including a new exotic sword. Bungie has shown off a lot of the content that is coming in Destiny’s fall expansion, Rise of Iron. The developer has been pretty open with revealing much of the new end-game armor sets, glimpses of the new raid, and modes like Archon’s Forge....

With the introduction of Destiny: The Taken King, most players are not expecting Bungie to drastically alter their base formula. Prior expansion releases have done little to shake things up outside of adding a few modes and options, so there’s no reason to think Destiny’s fundamental makeup will change come September. That being said, Bungie is not simply cutting and pasting their past content over to The Taken King (at least we hope not), but making slight changes to the gameplay and the customization....

It’s an exciting time in the Destiny world, if for no other reason than because there is new content to explore (Sparrow Racing League) and new gear to collect. Many Destiny 2 players are enjoying the Festival of the Lost, working hard to unlock all of the treats Bungie has made available for hardworking Guardians. If players do enough, they are rewarded with a special item called the Ascendant Lens, but the problem is no one knows what to do with it. There is some speculation, but no concrete answers so far. Players who wish to obtain the Ascendant Lens will have to put in the time and effort–and there’s a lot of effort required....

Following the latest update for Bungie’s sci-fi first-person shooter Destiny 2, players have discovered a hub-like area for the upcoming Black Armory DLC. However, the only current way to get there requires a little bit of luck and a touch of glitching, but for those who want to check it out prior to the launch of Black Armory, this is the only way. To do so, Guardians will want to drop on the planet Nessus at the Artifact’s Edge Fast Travel point....

Surprise, Destiny 2 players! There is a new chance to get Imperials in the game. Although Bungie had previously announced that the treasure chests on the new Nessus Barge were weekly, it seems that they have reset earlier than expected. So any chests that players opened this week are back and ready to offer up 150 Imperials in exchange for 5,000 Glimmer. Since the Season of Opulence in Destiny 2 is less than a week old, there was a lot of speculation regarding these Nessus Barge chests....

The big Destiny 2 news this week is that Lord Saladin’s ship hit a snag ultimately delaying the newly revamped Iron Banner beyond this week. Bungie revealed in a separate post that the mode ran into an odd bug that provided an error message and sent all players in a match back to orbit once a certain score or timer condition was met. Unfortunately, there isn’t a set resolution time, so this week’s weekly Crucible mode is jumping back to Rumble for the time being....

The Warlocks of the Destiny community may find their Light-abilities boosted by the announcement of the return of Ikora Rey in Destiny 2’s Season 14 and the next major expansion, The Witch Queen. The beloved Warlock has been strangely absent from Beyond Light and since the previous major Destiny 2 expansion, Shadowkeep. Dedicated followers of the Destiny storyline have memories of the Warlock going back as far as the game’s inception in 2014, and while the almighty Guardian has no intentions to die or retire anytime soon, the character has been more or less benched for the past year....

In Bungie’s last reveal stream of the upcoming April Update, the developer details the weapon and subclass balancing coming to Destiny and making PvP more rewarding. In less than a week, a lot of changes will be coming to Destiny. In the April Update, and what Bungie is calling the biggest update to Destiny since The Taken King, players will have a new Light level cap to reach and new PvE content to complete....
