Dark Souls III has proven to be a big success for FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco, as the game has not only become the best selling Souls game, but it has broken sales expectations for the company. The notoriously difficult series appears to have finally found the right blend of difficulty and entertainment, while no doubt getting a boost from the positive word of mouth from the studio’s other similar game, Bloodborne....

Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition is the best way to play the game, but offers little reason for veteran players to revisit Death’s lengthy adventure. The Darksiders franchise is what happens when the over-the-top action of God of War is combined with the puzzle-solving sensibilities of The Legend of Zelda. Dishonored developer Arkane Studios is back with an all-new game in development, Deathloop. The new title throws players onto an island stuck in a time loop, where they have to assassinate eight targets in a single day while being hunted themselves by a mysterious adversary who will stop at nothing to protect the cycle. Deathloop appears to have two main characters. One of them is named Colt, who appears to be the main PC in the game, and Arkane has already given fans a few peaks at his overall design and character....

Social media is a powerful tool for a wide variety of real world actions. Its ability to gather awareness is once again coming in to play, as a Twitter user has put Yo-Kai Watch - an anime based off of a video game - on the trending pages after calling out to the public for help. The hashtag #SaveYoKaiWatch could be seen on the trending tabs of Twitter, as fans retweeted and shared the news about the discontinued anime to raise awareness....

It apparently didn’t take long for EA to give up on Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Not even four weeks after the remade trilogy’s release, EA has removed Denuvo DRM protection from ME Legendary Edition. That’s according to SteamDB, the site which keeps track of every new update released on Steam. Several Redditors noted that the .exe files for Mass Effect Legendary Edition are quite a bit smaller than they were before June 7’s patch, while others confirmed Denuvo’s removal using Protection ID software....

When Bungie’s then-upcoming hotly anticipated MMO FPS Destiny alpha was released to gamers, it wasn’t the lightning fast gameplay or innovative world that caught players attentions. Instead, it was a single line of dialogue that transcended the moment in which it was uttered and became an internet punchline: “That wizard came from the Moon.” Uttered by the Peter Dinklage voiced robot companion Ghost, players found the monotone delivery of the line hysterical, and the phrase quickly became a meme....

One Destiny fan unfortunately reports that when decrypting an exotic boot Engram, it yields absolutely no returns, resulting in a completely wasted Engram. While playing Destiny, would-be Guardian and Twitter user @GHOSTTYPE4 was attempting to have an exotic boot Engram decrypted by Master Rahool, but the Cryptarch’s decoding ultimately gave her bupkis. After encountering the problem, she took to her Twitter account and contacted Destiny’s developer, Bungie, for assistance. Although some might be quick to claim that @GHOSTTYPE4 is experiencing an isolated incident, further on down in the thread, more users have confirmed that they too have encountered the supposed glitch....

Destiny players, especially those who enjoy PvP in the Crucible, will want to pick up the Crucible Vendor’s Palindrome hand cannon this week, as it is as close to a “god roll” as one could hope. The Palindrome sports quite the combination of perks this week (remember, with Destiny’s Age of Triumph the vendor weapons get new rolls with every weekly reset): TrueSight IS, Icarus, Rifled Barrel, and Rangefinder. Why This Palindrome is So Good TrueSight IS is a preferred sight for Destiny because it grants extra aim assist....

Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Season of the Chosen brings with it new Seasonal Challenges. Seasonal Challenges are a set of weekly challenges that offer Bright Dust, XP, and some also give War Table Reputation. These Seasonal Challenges can be completed as they are introduced each week, or they can be completed anytime after their introduction. This allows Guardians who do not play Destiny 2 every week, to still be able to progress without missing too much....

It’s exciting times for fans of Xur as the Destiny 2 exotic vendor is returning to the world of Bungie’s shooter with some new items in tow. While Bungie put a few systems in place to help buff players’ chances at getting exotics from completing activities, Xur has a few easier paths that lead directly to new Destiny 2 exotics for all players. This week, Destiny 2 players can find Xur in the Tower....

It was meant to be a surprise for when the game launched, but due to multiple leaks prior to the launch of Destiny 2, but now Game Rant can officially confirm the return of the Taken King subclasses. Those are the Stormcaller, Sunbreaker, and Nightstalker; however, they have been slightly reorganized to fit in line with Destiny 2’s new subclass system that provides players with just two predetermined paths to choose from....

Today, Bungie hosted Destiny 2’s first gameplay reveal by way of an official livestream, and out of the many pieces of information to come from the exhibition, the developer announced that it is going to provide ample changes and significant overhauls to its competitive multiplayer mode, the Crucible. As it so happens, Bungie has now confirmed that the player-versus-player mode will only be 4v4, meaning that several of the game types from the first entry in the franchise will either not be coming to the sequel or will have a different player count altogether....

Early Tuesday morning Destiny 2 went down for maintenance so that developer Bungie could push live an update that would make it easier for players to increase their power in Season 6. But at the same time, the game may have accidentally given players a look at some future content coming with an upcoming event.
