For one reason or another, the PlayStation 4 version of the upcoming Dead Island: Definitive Collection only includes first game in the series on-disc. While fans wait patiently for the often delayed Dead Island 2, publisher Deep Silver intended to hold them over with Dead Island: Definitive Collection for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Destiny Update 2.4 is not just about re-balancing weapons for the new Rise of Iron expansion. It will also introduce some changes to reward drops and the way 3v3 modes work. Destiny 2 is leading the PlayStation Plus games of September by coming out a week early. Destiny 2 was released less than a year ago, which means that it’s odd to see it arrive on PlayStation Plus so soon. The most likely reason is that Bungie wants to drum up interest in the upcoming Forsaken expansion, which is receiving a free 24-hour play session on September 1st, which will give players a chance to check out the new hybrid PVE & PVP Gambit mode....

The quest to acquire the Exotic hand cannon Hawkmoon arrived with Destiny 2’s Tuesday update, and it’s a very interesting new piece of hardware. A first for Destiny’s Exotics, Hawkmoon will get random rolls after the player acquires their first one from the quest. This includes a random barrel, a random grip, and yes, even a random perk. Transformative–the perk Hawkmoon comes with after completing the quest–will become one of nine different perks already seen on other hand cannons in Destiny 2, everything from Snapshot Sights to the new Surplus....
Season of the Chosen introduced a brand-new Strike to Destiny 2 called Proving Grounds, which continues the seasonal storyline of Cabal Empress Caiatl. Last month, Proving Grounds was made available as part of the seasonal questline, although it required players to own the Season of the Chosen season pass. However, Bungie clearly mentioned on Season 13’s roadmap that the Strike will enter the Nightfall playlist a week later and will be available for free for every Destiny 2 player....
With Resident Evil 3 and its multiplayer spinoff Project Resistance releasing earlier this month, it’s fairly clear that Capcom is already testing the waters for where the future of the Resident Evil franchise should go. Someone stabby is heading to the dark world of Sanctuary. At BlizzConline, Blizzard pulled back the curtain on the fourth starter class for Diablo 4, revealing the throat-slicing, ear-collecting rogue. Like the Barbarian and Sorceress, this class is a throwback to the original Diablo, further emphasizing the designers’ intent to bring Diablo 4 back to the series’ grimdark roots.
