Effective immediately, Bungie is lowering the power level requirements for Destiny 2’s new Forge activity. Previously, players were encountering enemies between 615 and 630 power in the Volundr Forge, but those numbers have been lowered by 5. According to Bungie, the power level decrease is meant to give Black Armory and Annual Pass owners a better path towards completing new activities. No doubt players at or below 600 will still face a challenge, but the barrier to entry for new content is slightly lower....

The announcement of Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion has reinvigorated the game’s community much like the original Destiny’s The Taken King expansion did in 2015. And that’s not all that’s stayed consistent in the franchise. Bungie has now revealed its plans for exclusive PlayStation 4 content included with Forsaken, such as the addition of a second platform exclusive Exotic Weapon. If anyone thought Destiny 2’s initial struggles might lead to a softening of the PS4 content partnership, here’s your answer....

Season 3 is soon about to kick off in Destiny 2, and Bungie has started giving previews of what types of changes to exotic weapons players can expect to see in upcoming updates for the game. The specific weapon that Bungie showed off this week is the Graviton Lance pulse rifle, which is getting a major buff in Season 3 this May. Bungie has tweeted a short video clip that shows off the new buff for the Graviton Lance pulse rifle....

One of Destiny 1’s most controversial weapons has made its way to Destiny 2 thanks to the new Thorn quest for Season of the Drifter. As long as they own the Annual Pass, Destiny 2 players are free to start and complete the Thorn quest at their leisure, but there has been some confusion regarding how to get things started. To start the Thorn quest, players want to head to the Salt Mines area in the European Dead Zone....

A bug in Destiny 2’s Hive themed dungeon, the Pit of Heresy, is bugged, allowing players to claim Flawless Completions and lightning fast completion times with relative ease. The bug revolves around the use of checkpoints to trick the game into thinking that the player cleared the whole dungeon under certain conditions. Destiny 2 grants a Flawless Completion if a fireteam manages to clear a dungeon without suffering any deaths, but this most recent bug provides a work around for that....

The Destiny 2 Season of Opulence began just over three weeks ago, which means that players have had quite a bit of time to farm the best gear from the Destiny 2 Menagerie. Indeed, this new 6-player PvE mode grants powerful weapons, and, upon its release, players quickly discovered a Destiny 2 Menagerie exploit that allowed them to earn rewards more quickly than was intended. That said, this opportunity is quickly coming to an end, as Bungie has confirmed that the exploit will be addressed in an imminent update....

As previously mentioned earlier in the summer, Bungie intends Destiny 2: Beyond Light to be the start of a new direction for the popular series. Part of that involves the Darkness finally arriving, a major component of the franchise that has been seemingly in development since the very first game launched. Everything that happens from a gameplay and narrative perspective essentially branches out from the events of Beyond Light. In the first acquisition that Nordisk has made outside of the Scandinavian area, it has purchased 40% of MercurySteam, the Madrid-based developers behind the Castlevania: Lord of the Shadow trilogy as well as the recently released Spacelords. How much this set back Nordisk is unknown as of right now, although reports claim that the acquisition’s cost was ‘sizeable.’ MercurySteam has joined the fold, at any rate, as Nordisk’s eighth video game studio....

The endgame is finally here in Castlevania season 4, which sees Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades, and Alucard face off against the forces of evil that wish to wipe out humanity. While the story takes a few interesting turns you’re not expecting, fans of the long-running Konami series will likely notice quite a few connections to the original video games. As you’d expect, that all means that there are plenty of easter eggs and references to the games as well as real-world history in Castlevania season 4....

Civilization 6 introduced the concept of civilizations having multiple possible leaders to choose from with different personal benefits that add on to a civilization’s existing benefits. While currently only England, France, India, and Greece have these options, more civilizations could get these choices in the future. With some leaders included in Civilization 6’s DLC packages being returning faces from previous Civilization titles, it could be possible for more returning faces to appear as additional leaders with pre-existing civilizations....

Fans of Westwood’s Command and Conquer can finally play the game with a modern twist thanks to Petroglyph Games’ Command and Conquer Remastered Collection. RTS and strategy enthusiasts interested in the origins of one of the most critically-acclaimed RTS franchises to ever grace gaming can finally go back and play the first C&C game that spawned an unforgettable franchise. The whole C&C series revolves around the Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of Nod....

A few months ago, Funcom revealed that Conan Exiles would be making its way to the Xbox Preview program. At E3, Funcom has released a new trailer for the game that reveals that it is coming to Xbox One on August 16th, and it will come with the Highlands expansion that will be making its way to the PC version of the game on the same day. At the time of this writing, there’s still a lot left to learn about the Highlands expansion for Conan Exiles and the content it will bring to the game....

Cooking Simulator is coming to the Nintendo Switch in early May. Developed by Big Cheese Studio in spring of 2019 indie publisher Forever Entertainment is bringing the game from PC to Nintendo. The game, as the title heavily implies, allows gamers to simulate cooking as a real world experience. Gamers have to follow recipes and orders, which are then scored by NPC patrons by taste and prep time. Originally released as a PC game, chefs had access to over 80 recipes and each has its own level of difficulty and precision....

Shudder, AMC’s all-horror streaming service, has announced the start of production on the second season of Creepshow, its popular horror anthology series. AMC has promised in a release that “the show is following all safety guidelines and protocols in accordance with SAG-AFTRA, DGA, IATSE, TEAMSTERS, CDC and state and local guidance,” which makes it one of the few TV productions to start filming in the United States following the COVID-19 pandemic....

Because leveling up has been notoriously difficult in Cyberpunk 2077, players are incentivized to pick skill trees that boost their primary mode of combat. The favorites are usually perks that involve blades, quickhacks, or assault rifles. Gamers who excitedly spent their skill points in crafting when the game was first released were disappointed and frequently started a new save within the opening hours of the game. What a tumultuous time it is to be a fan of DC TV and movies. Aside from the fact that the DCEU was a mass of chaotic energy almost from the word go, there’s also been the ongoing confusion about the multiversal aspects: the multiple Batmen and Jokers, the fact that the TV shows have nothing to do with the movies, the fact that entire movies (sorry, Batgirl) simply ceased to exist and were banished to limbo after they had already wrapped, never to be seen by mortal eyes....
