With the arrival of a new generation of consoles comes a new generation of games. And while the celebratory launch of the PlayStation 5 has brought plenty of new games for fans to play, one of the most anticipated titles is a remake of a 2009 classic, Demon’s Souls. The remake of Demon’s Souls, developed by Bluepoint Games, takes the classic action role-playing title into the next generation with better graphics than ever before and a gorgeous 60fps to fully immerse players into the world of Demon’s Souls....

Demon’s Souls came out alongside the launch of the PlayStation 5 on November 12th, 2020. As one of the few true exclusive next-gen launch titles for the console, plenty of newcomers are entering the brutal adventure with no prior experience with FromSoftware’s games. For better or worse, Bluepoint’s remake of the 2009 classic retains almost every facet of the original adventure to a fault. The enigmatic design and head-scratching level layouts remain unchanged....

With all the excitement around the next-gen update and Hawkmoon, it was easy to miss the patch notes for today’s 3.0.1 update to Destiny 2. Though sparse on balance changes, the patch notes include several dozen fixes for a variety of bugs — some introduced in Beyond Light and others that have been around for years. Though there are a lot of great updates here, two fixes stand out in particular: tether function on the Sanctified Mind and Super energy drain in Warden of Nothing....

Before Season 5 begins, completionists will want to take notice of these 16 Triumphs that can only be earned during this current season. At this point, some of these Triumphs may be out of reach for those who haven’t begun to make progress, but others are surely attainable for many players....

After a player has configured the Lure for Destiny 2’s Hunt for the Wrathborn quest, they will be instructed to place it at a cryptolith. This can be done by simply navigating to the relevant quest marker in the Tangled Shore, and placing the Lure at this location will trigger a battle with the Fallen Wrathborn. Destiny 2 fans will not defeat the Wrathborn during this fight, though, and they will instead be asked to track the weakened foe to its lair....

Earlier this week, the final piece of Destiny 2’s annual pass known as the Season of Opulence arrived. Taking the lessons learned from Joker’s Wild and Black Armory, Bungie has made sure to include content for all types of players. While there’s always new gear and exotics to hunt down, the update this week also included the latest raid called the Crown of Sorrow, giving players a chance to dive in much earlier than usual....

Destiny 2 is getting a handful of new activities, which developer has already talked about, like Lost Sectors and Adventures. But there’s a new activity that the game’s director just revealed called Flashpoints. Luke Smith said Flashpoints are a new weekly event in Destiny 2 that can lead players—even those playing solo—to high-level rewards: So it appears that the Flashpoint will be a weekly instance that will rotate around to one of the four world zones in Destiny 2....

After a month of speculation and presumptions regarding the special “twist” in Destiny’s King’s Fall raid, Bungie finally put the issue to rest, confirming that Challenge Modes are coming. According to Destiny: The Taken King director Luke Smith, these Challenge Modes will add new twists to the three major boss fights in the raid, and will require fireteams take down the targets in unique ways. However, in the time since Smith’s announcement, Bungie has been relatively quiet with regards to additional details....

With exactly a week until Destiny releases its second major DLC expansion, House of Wolves, players are likely counting down the hours with bated breath. When Mass Effect: Andromeda was released in March 2017, its sales figures disappointed and it received mixed reviews. The reception to the game led to significant changes at BioWare, including the Mass Effect series being put on hiatus and Andromeda developer BioWare Montreal being turned into a “support” studio for other projects. Moreover, Mass Effect: Andromeda did not receive any story-focused DLC as many fans had hoped for.
