Destiny 2’s Halloween event, Festival of the Lost, is coming out today at the weekly reset. It will feature a returning activity, unique masks to earn, cosmetics to buy, and updated weapons to chase. Festival of the Lost usually takes place later in October, shortly after the release of the annual expansion. However, this year it has been pulled back a bit to coincide with Season of Arrivals due to the delay of Destiny 2: Beyond Light....

By now, Destiny 2 players know of the major moment at the beginning of Forsaken that will change the game’s story in a significant way. Those who enjoyed the story implications this moment brought with it, will be pleased to know that it will not be the only major narrative thread, and that the upcoming raid will also have its share of story that will impact the lore in a significant way....

The mod system in Destiny 2 has changed for the better since Year 1, essentially letting players boost the stats or behavior of their favorite weapons and armor to make a noticeable difference in gameplay. The new system also introduced Mod Components, which are needed to buy mods from the Gunsmith. Many hardcore fans who played Year 1 likely went into Forsaken and Year 2 with a hefty collection of Mod Components after dismantling a collection of mods and/or irrelevant weapons and armor....

Bungie has recently disabled Destiny 2’s Trials of Osiris PvP pinnacle activity after discovering that win trading, the supposed reason it was canceled previously, was still occurring. The “Hakke Emblem Method” to guarantee a flawless card—achieving seven consecutive wins—has not changed whatsoever. The delay was announced on Twitter this morning. For those who missed the last Trials cancellation, a certain subset of the Destiny 2 community figured out a way to trade wins amongst each other, bypassing any losses on their Trials of Osiris card to guarantee a trip to the Lighthouse....

Destiny 2 allows for some crazy builds and even crazier antics. Bungie has pushed a hotfix to Destiny 2 that eliminates several smaller issues in the online multiplayer shooter. Destiny 2’s launch has gone impressively smooth, but as with any huge online game release there are bound to be bugs seen and unseen. Although the upcoming Warmind DLC for Destiny 2 is all about adding new content to the existing framework, the add-on will also make a ton of tiny quality of life changes to the game. One of those changes, as shown by a recent preview session for content creators, will help clear some of the clutter out of Destiny 2’s quest system. As revealed by Twitch streamer Gigz, who attended the recent Destiny Community Summit, the Warmind DLC will include a change that moves weapon quests to a section in the menu called ‘Pursuits....

According to Capcom producer Peter Fabiano, the Resident Evil Village development team believes the forthcoming title is “the best survival horror game to date,” adding that they have been greatly inspired by 2005’s Resident Evil 4, Capcom’s highest-rated game of all-time, according to Metacritic. One of the most beloved anime of all time, Neon Genesis Evangelion, spent a long time in copyright limbo before coming to Netflix in 2019. This copyright fiasco stopped the beloved 1995 psychological mecha anime from receiving home media releases following the closure of ADV Films, the studio behind the original English dub. The announcement that Netflix would be picking up exclusive worldwide streaming rights in 2019 gave many fans hope that the anime would finally see a physical release on blu-ray in the future and, announced at the “digital anime convention” Cloud Matsuri, All The Anime have announced that they have acquired the license to finally bring Neon Genesis Evangelion to blu-ray, however the announcement has one major downside: the blu-ray is only planned to release in the UK and Ireland....
