After a botched weapon delivery two weeks ago, it appears that all has returned to normal for Xur in the world of Destiny. Last week, the Agent of the Nine showed up right on time, and he had an exotic weapon in tow. Granted, said weapon wasn’t exactly earth shattering, but nothing is for Destiny players these days. Well, in less you count the reveal of the Dreadnaught earlier this week....
The Trials of Osiris have become a focal point in Destiny 2 after the Beyond Light expansion. The highly competitive mode has taken over the PVP scene since it was re-introduced in 2020. Because the game has entered its fourth year, there are more skilled Destiny 2 players than ever. Destiny 2 is fast approaching and a priority for many players is ensuring that their Clans make the jump between games before launch. Bungie announced in June that starting July 25 an official “Housekeeping Phase” would begin, an official transition period lasting a month for Clans to get their business together prior to Destiny 2’s launch September 6. Bungie delivered the instructions as promised yesterday, but the required Clan management functionality didn’t go live until today....

Earlier this year, Activision’s Q2 2018 investor call intentionally left out Destiny 2 from the video game publisher’s list of accomplishments, indicating that the science fiction shooter’s sales had been struggling ever since the base game launched back in 2017. Now, it looks as if Activision is being even more blunt about the matter, as the company has said that sales for the action-RPG have not met its expectations. According to a statement made by Activison COO Coddy Johnson during the publisher’s most recent earnings call, Destiny 2 has not yet seen players’ “full core” re-engagement with the game following the launch of its latest expansion, Forsaken....

One of the biggest complaints about the Crucible in Destiny 2 is that the time-to-kill against other players is too long, especially compared to what it was in Destiny. Today, Bungie hosted a live test-fire stream to showcase the lower TTK in Crucible, which featured several sandbox changes that Destiny 2 fans have been asking for. Currently, Crucible in Destiny 2 is plagued with slow TTK and team-shooting, and Bungie is trying to fix that with the sandbox changes launching with Forsaken....
Destiny 2’s new Forsaken expansion this fall is set to shake up how the mod system in the game works—and it looks to be in all the ways in which fans have been asking. Whereas since launch mods have felt generally underwhelming in their effect on a player’s experience besides the 5-point power boost they grant, the reworked mod system coming in Forsaken could make a much larger impact. Over the last week, Destiny 2 developer received a ton of complaints regarding the spawn rate of the Ascendant Primeval Servitor in Gambit. Because killing the Ascendant Primeval is essential in starting the Malfeasance exotic hand cannon quest, players were understandably frustrated when they would go hours without ever seeing the boss. Next time the full curse comes around on October 30th, Bungie promises that the spawn rate for the Ascendant Primeval will be better....
One extremely loyal Destiny fan 3D prints an impressive collection of various guns, ships, and Ghosts from Bungie’s wildly popular action-MMO shooter. It’s no secret that Destiny fans are a dedicated and creative bunch, with one recent bit of proof being a modder’s recreation of the King’s Fall raid with DOOM’s SnapMap level editor. Of course, there are also plenty of Guardians who have utilized their imaginative abilities to make products related to Bungie’s sci-fi shooter outside of the realm of video games....
Atlus revealed a new trailer for Catherine: Full Body on Switch at NGPX today and it gives us our first real look at the title running on Nintendo’s hybrid console. I’ve got to say, I’m really impressed with the results here. It basically looks like a sharper PS3 port, which is excellent for a handheld system. I really shouldn’t be that surprised considering Full Body released on the Vita in Japan, but it’s still nice to know that this Switch port isn’t an afterthought....
Executives at CD Projekt (CD Projekt Red’s parent company) took responsibility for issues found in Cyberpunk 2077 after the game was released. In a letter to staff members, CD Projekt told staff members that they would receive bonuses no matter how the game is reviewed. Prior to Friday, bonuses would have been awarded only if the game had an aggregate score of 90/100 on Metacritic. Cyberpunk was undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of the year, having spent eight years in development and suffering three different delays....
