The final week of The Dawning seasonal event has arrived as the community races to finish the final step of the Dawning Spirits mission. With a community-wide goal of 1,000,000,000 spirits earned during the event, players fell off of the projected trajectory and fell in danger of failing the limited time mode. Thankfully, Bungie made a change to triple the amount players could earn and now the community is back on track with just days to go....

Since Bungie’s Destiny 2 launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One earlier this month, fans of the multiplayer FPS series have been pouring hours into the follow-up title, blazing through missions, leveling up, and beating the final raid boss in record time. It’s evident that in-game triumphs have become increasingly more frequent as of late, but one fan has taken his passion outside the confines of the title, creating a replica of the Sunshot Exotic weapon entirely out of LEGOs....

Mayhem has returned to the Destiny 2 Crucible, but with it also comes a glitch that is giving Warlocks an unfair advantage by providing them with infinite Nova Bombs. The glitch was discovered just a day after Mayhem made its return to Destiny 2, as a part of the game’s holiday festivities. Everything concerning the glitch has been documented in a Reddit post by user DefenderEchoaz, where they lay out how the glitch works and provide a video of it in action....

Destiny 2 is removing a piece of armor from the game after its developer Bungie says that it bears a striking resemblance to imagery used as “a hate symbol”. Bungie let players know that the armor would be removed from Destiny 2 as soon as possible. While Bungie did not identify exactly what piece of armor was being removed, players on the Destiny subreddit were able to put the pieces together....

Although developer Bungie hoped to do something new with the Nightfall Strikes in Destiny 2, the reception to the timer mechanic has been fairly negative. Luckily, those frustrations will soon be a thing of the past, as the developer has announced plans to change Nightfall Strikes in Season 3. As part of a forthcoming February update for Destiny 2, Bungie will be introducing Strike Scoring to Nightfall Strikes as a replacement for the current time limit mechanic....

As E3 2017 starts to wrap up, fans should expect plenty more reveals and details to come out about their most anticipated titles and favorite games, and Bungie is among one of many studios discussing their wares at the event, with the developer having recently confirmed that Destiny 2 will not have private matches when the science fiction shooter sequel launches later this year. So, although the Crucible is coming back in the follow up, Guardians won’t be able to experience any PvP with their own personal rule sets, at least when it releases....

A major update launches for Destiny Tuesday, June 14 that will rebalance a number of weapons for PvP play, as well as sweeping changes to the Hunter class. Destiny fans are eagerly awaiting Rise of Iron, Destiny’s fall expansion, which was revealed last week. But that doesn’t mean Bungie is not also paying attention to the current state of the game. The developer today announced that as of tomorrow, Tuesday June 14 Update 2....

Earlier this week, reports surfaced that suggested Capcom’s DRM may be responsible for Resident Evil Village’s poor PC performance. TheGamer has reached out to Capcom, confirming that the issue is being investigated. “The team is currently looking into the reported PC performance issues,” is Capcom’s official statement on the matter, when asked by TheGamer about reports that its DRM is behind some of the problems plaguing Resident Evil’s PC launch. While there is no suggestion of how the issue will be remedied, Capcom is aware of the latest round of complaints....

After an impressive presentation full of games aiming for 2016 releases, Sony wrapped up its presentation with an extended look at Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End gameplay. The gameplay kicked off with a technical error, but once things were back on track viewers were soaking in the first glimpse we’ve had of Drake’s latest (and last) adventure. As E3 continues, we expect to learn more and more about Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End....

The world’s first life-sized Gundam to be built outside of Japan has been completed. Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport in Shanghai Jinqiao recently completed its 1:1-scale Gundam statue last week, treating visitors to a beautiful real-life recreation of the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam. This is the first Gundam to appear outside of Japan, which revealed its life-sized Gundam statue late last year. Unlike the Gundam in Yokohama, Shanghai’s Gundam is just a statue and can’t move, but it does have a few blue LEDs in its head to give it a bit of a glow....

Just over one month ago, FaZe Clan, an eSports organization that competes across a number of different games, made headlines when team member Turner “Tfue” Tenny sued FaZe over what he believed to be an unlawful and restrictive contract. Indeed, there is indication that this contract saw FaZe taking up to 80% of Tenny’s earnings, and it appears that Dennis “Cloakzy” Lepore, FaZe’s Fortnite team captain, is now looking to separate himself from the organization as well, perhaps as a result of a similar contractual arrangement....

The Sorceress is the definitive classical spellcaster for future Diablo 4 players, and has filled that niche more than once before. Even the very first Diablo title had a Sorcerer option out of its modest three playable classes. Because of that tradition, it’s not hard to see why Blizzard would choose to bring this class back for the next game. However, the class has seen a lot of iterations and changes over the years....

Control is the next free game on Epic Games Store and is the final offering in the Epic Mega Sale. Released in 2019, action/adventure game Control received rave reviews and picked up numerous industry awards. Anyone who hasn’t picked up Remedy Entertainment’s hit has a week to download it from the Epic Games Store. As with all limited-time freebies on Epic Games Store, it’s yours forever once you’ve claimed it. As long as it’s claimed, you can download it for free after the sale has ended next Thursday....

This Counterpart review contains spoilers. Counterpart Season 1 Episode 7 What are we to make of the latest episode of Counterpart? On the one hand, it laid bare the basic history and mechanisms of Project Indigo; on the other hand, it humanized Clare to such a degree that she’s neither entirely sympathetic nor completely vilified. The process she undergoes to become a sleeper agent is realistic in its avoidance of the Black Widow-style assassin-trained-since-birth scenario but in some ways also comes across as mundane because of its realism....

CD Projekt RED’s sci-fi RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, is a big, ambitious game that’s larger than anything the studio has worked on before. More than 400 developers are working on the hotly anticipated game. However, despite the resources needed to create a game of this size, it seems as if CD Projekt RED has been able to work on another, secret project. The developer made the confirmation while responding to a fan on its forums....

Cyberpunk 2077 is filled with easter eggs and references - probably very easy to do when you’ve got a massive open world to fill with them - and believe it or not, a fair few just may have gone straight over your head. Yes, that’s right, I’m trying to say either your awareness is lacking, or your knowledge is. Which is no insult, because I certainly would’ve found it impossible to place many of these obscure references and nods....
