The Demon’s Souls remake has a hidden reference to one of the most famous scenes from Dragon Ball Z. Demon’s Souls was one of the few exclusives available on the PS5 at launch. The original version was developed for the PS3 by FromSoftware back in 2009, while the remake was handled by Bluepoint Games - the same studio that recreated Shadow of the Colossus for PS4. The Demon’s Souls remake is true to the original game in many ways, but also adds some welcome quality of life improvements and resolves a number of technical issues....

PS5 has had a strong couple of quarters. Not only have we had amazing exclusives such as Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Demon’s Souls, and Returnal, but the majority of the biggest and best games on the PS4 have been upgraded to be replayed at 60fps or in higher resolutions. I’ve enjoyed replays of God of War, Days Gone, and The Last of Us Part 2 more than I’ve enjoyed most new games released in 2021....

In the Destiny community, everyone is acutely aware of the latest accomplishments and feats. From soloing Crota on hard to jumping the Hellmouth on a sparrow, if there’s a seemingly impossible task worth doing, chances are someone is attempting it right this moment. But even then, there exist a select few Destiny feats that stand out among the rest. Destiny 2 has always been about the pursuit of newer, optimal gear and loot. However, years on the continual grind have worn down the most dedicated players, who previously complained about the game’s approach to seasonal mods. While Bungie has taken steps to address community concerns, the developer has still left some users dissatisfied. In one Reddit complaint, Destiny 2 player JoffaCXD1 asked the developer why it is sunsetting legendary armor, and the developer actually responded....

Although there was already a bit of controversy surrounding the launch of Destiny 2’s Prestige Leviathan Raid, now that we have a World’s First completion fireteam even more has surfaced. Several members of Clan Redeem, who was named World’s First by Bungie for Leviathan on Prestige difficulty, were caught using a power ammo glitch during the final fight with Calus. While this is unlikely to change the clan’s status as World’s First it does color the achievement in a new light....

While Halo Infinite was the reason why many gamers tuned in to the Xbox Games Showcase event, the real star of the show proved to be the Xbox Game Pass service. Microsoft’s gaming subscription service was given a significant boost by the Xbox Games Showcase event, as every title on display was confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass day one. This includes Destiny 2’s upcoming Beyond Light expansion, though it was unclear if Bungie’s popular looter-shooter would be coming to the PC version of Game Pass as well....

Destiny 2 is set to provide fans with a lot more narrative as compared to Destiny 1, with the developers behind the game’s story saying that there are more than 50 cutscenes in the game. The news came during a panel about Destiny 2’s story at San Diego Comic-Con, where Bungie’s Senior Narrative Lead, Jason Harris, said that story was a big focus for the development team this time around with Destiny 2, and that the game had 52 cutscenes....

Destiny 2 players are always looking for new ways to push the game and its various challenges to its limits, and a new gameplay clip shows yet another way that has been done. YouTuber CommanderCuesta and his team have defeated the final boss of the new Deep Stone Crypt raid without using any weapons. This type of challenge is nothing new in Destiny 2, as players have been trying to beat certain bosses without weapons since the original Destiny....

When news that a new Castlevania games was being announced hit, obviously a mobile game wasn’t what most fans of the classic franchise imagined. Despite that, Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is confirmed to be the next entry in the franchise and is launching exclusively on iOS devices to start. Many gamers may be inclined to skip over a mobile entry in the series and maybe just rewatch the Castlevania Netflix show instead, but it actually sounds like there are some interesting plans for this one....

The suspense has finally ended, and the NHL franchise has its first cover athlete determined by fan vote. The brackets have run their course, and Philadelphia Flyers center Claude Giroux has taken his place on the cover of NHL 13. Whether you read the manga, watch the anime, or play the video games, Dragon Ball isn’t a particularly difficult narrative to follow. It has a few complicated story beats, and Toriyama does write some sophisticated character arcs, but just paying attention will be enough to get you through the series from start to finish with no worries. Since Dragon Ball has been around for so long, too, it’s likely that just about every topic possible has been talked to death....

I recently updated my Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time file from the PS4 version to the PS5 version - luckily for me, I was able to do so without the installation error that many faced. This upgraded Crash looks better, runs better, and removes the irritatingly long load times, but it can’t fix the biggest issue with the game: there are too many damn boxes. I know this is literally just a new-gen upgrade, so I wasn’t expecting any changes to the game itself....

It may surprise a lot of people to learn that Crysis Remastered isn’t actually based on the original game — at least, not the original PC build. That’s not to say that Crytek cut corners on Crysis Remastered. In fact, it went out of its way to give the PC build more attention separate from the console versions. Ever since Cyberpunk 2077 launched, many players have had their experience with the game marred by technical issues, glitches, and game-breaking bugs. Some of these bugs are bad to the point where players can’t progress through certain quests in Cyberpunk 2077. Luckily, the developers have released a new hotfix for the game that fixes one of these aforementioned game-breaking bugs. It’s clear that Cyberpunk 2077 got off to a rocky start, and in a lot of ways it still suffers from many of the same issues players have been facing since the game launched....
