Friday is Xur day in Destiny 2, the start of the merchant’s weekend visit where players can purchase four exotic items after finding him in a random location. Unfortunately, the items he typically has in stock have been available for quite a while, leading to plenty of disappointment even with new randomized perk rolls. With Beyond Light, the highly anticipated expansion to Destiny 2 finally out, players are quickly running through the DLC’s new content and occasionally hitting new glitches and exploits that came with the update. One of these unanticipated issues has recently taken a toll on Destiny’s Crucible activities, leading to an exotic weapon being removed as to maintain the competitive balance of the PvP game modes. The Witherhoard exotic grenade launcher was quickly found to have picked up an issue when the Beyond Light update tweaked a number of Destiny 2’s exotics in order to balance them with the new light levels and updated content....
Last week, Destiny 2 developer Bungie detailed its plans to make Enhancement Cores easier to get in the game. But many fans are saying the upcoming changes are not enough to make an impact in the scarcity problems currently associated with Enhancement Cores. Destiny 2’s second Year 1 expansion, Warmind, added modifiers to the Heroic Strikes playlist. This further sets them apart from the normal strike playlist as a middle-of-the-road option between that and the weekly Nightfall Strike. Each week, the Heroic Strike playlist receives a weekly Singe modifier that is persistent until the next weekly reset in Destiny 2. This increases incoming and outgoing damage of a particular elemental type. In addition, two more modifiers—one which provides the player with an advantage, and another that adds a disadvantage—refresh each day....
With a massive amount of hype preceding its release back in September of this year, Destiny 2 was destined for a lucrative 2017, and Bungie’s science fiction shooter sequel seems to have fulfilled its financial fate. As a matter of fact, the video game publisher Activision has now declared the title to be the second best-selling console game for 2017 in North America, based on revenue. It’s made in the GZDoom engine, which is required to play, but there’s no need to own the original Doom. Simon’s Destiny is a completely standalone product....
Call of Duty Mobile launched in China well over a year after its international release, yet Tencent Games’ partnership with Activision is proving to be incredibly profitable for both parties as the Chinese market has already equalized the rest of the world in gross expenses for the game. Like usual, Call of Duty Mobile had to wait for the Chinese government’s approval, but after getting greenlit (despite previous Call of Duty censorship) it quickly amassed over 50 million pre-registered players prior to its December release....

Future Blessings is the sequel to Code: Reaize – Guardian of Rebirth. Its been a great year for Bandai Namco so far having already released Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dark Souls Remastered with Soul Calibur VI and Super Smash Bros Ultimate still on the way. One of the more intriguing games that Bandai Namco has revealed over the past year is Code Vein, a third-person action game that appears to be inspired by the Souls series. While marketing materials have indicated that the game would be arriving this year, fans will have to be a bit more patient as the game has slipped from its release window....

Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED reveals details about Maelstrom, a gang “obsessed” with cybertechnology. CD Projekt RED has also released teasers of groups like The Mox, which defends Night City’s sex workers and Tyger’s Claw, a gang that can be found in Night City’s Japantown. On Twitter, CD Projekt RED showed fans the logo of Cyberpunk 2077 gang Maelstrom. The gang can be found in the Night City district of Watson, as CD Projekt RED says that the district’s factories and a location called the Totentanz Club are popular hangout spots for Maelstrom members....
According to new data from M Science, Cyberpunk 2077 pre-orders are currently “underwhelming” but should pick up as it inches closer to its November 19 release.
