This week Bungie launched the second season of Destiny 2 Year 4. It’s called Season of the Chosen and brought with it much anticipated features. A fan favorite system from last summer, Umbral Engrams, have returned and they tie into the new activity, Battlegrounds. This is a new playlist activity that sits alongside Strikes. Speaking of Strikes, three have been added this season with one of them being brand new. The other two are there to flesh out the Cosmodrome experience....

Week 4 of Destiny 2: Forsaken continues the evolution of The Dreaming City. Designed as the endgame space for players, a Taken curse fell upon the destination once the Last Wish raid was finally beaten after nearly 19 hours. Subtle changes appeared at first, with Taken Blight appearing on many of the structures and buildings around Destiny 2’s Dreaming City, though players will find that this week, things have gotten worse....

Ever since the launch of Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion when Masterwork Cores became an item required for the game’s Infusion mechanic, players have leveled complaints about the item’s scarcity and how it limits their ability to level their favorite gear. On the other hand, developer Bungie made Masterwork Cores a part of Infusion to make the decision to level up gear more meaningful, considering the fact that in Year 1 players could continue to Infuse gear constantly at very little detriment to their materials....

We already knew that Cyberpunk 2077 was profitable on day one just due to pre-orders alone, but it turns out that the game did way more for CD Projekt Red than just break into the black. Cyberpunk 2077 was actually the most profitable game the Polish developer has ever made. CD Projekt just released its estimated earnings for end-of-year 2020, and according to the company will post a net profit of PLN 1,154 billion ($304m USD), and revenues of PLN 2,139 billion ($564m USD)....

Pride month is just around the corner and Twitch is inviting you to celebrate it with them as well as celebrate all the LGBTQIA streamers on the platform. Beginning in June - Pride month - Twitch is going to be streaming the 50th San Francisco Pride, which is going to be an online version to abide by social distancing rules and regulations. By streaming the event, however, it gives the community a chance to interact and be apart of Pride from the comfort of their own homes....

With development winding down on DiRT Rally 2.0’s DLC, Codemasters is looking to the future of the series. In a new post on its official blog, the developer is beginning to tease what’s next for the series and it could be big. We’re either going to see an announcement for DiRT 5 or possibly Rally 3.0 very soon. “At this stage, the Rally team is now focusing on the future,” reads the post....

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled features a ton of content for players to unlock. Some of this content is unlocked by completing races and conquering Adventure Mode, but other content has to be purchased at the Pit Stop. The Pit Stop, for the uninitiated, is the in-game store in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and it’s there where players can spend Wumpa Coins to unlock even more in the game. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled players will earn plenty of Wumpa Coins by simply playing the game, but some impatient players may want to get as many as fast as possible so that they can unlock all of the CTR Nitro-Fueled characters right away....

The developers of Crucible are making a big change to the game: it’s heading back to a closed beta setup despite having already launched. The change comes as part of developer Relentless Studios’ efforts to respond to community feedback and improve upon the game. In a post to the Crucible website, the development team admitted that the game launched before it was truly ready to do so, hence the move back to a closed beta; the change will be taking place tomorrow, July 1....

Killer7 will return, and this time it will be heading to PC. In yet another surprise remaster for 2018, cult classic Killer7 is coming back to be reborn on the PC. The game developed for the PlayStation 2 and GameCube era has quite a lot of technology to catch up on, but gamers who were born too late to experience SUDA51’s masterpiece will now get a chance to experience one of the best stories told in gaming....

CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 has been the subject of near-constant controversy and discussion since it released last month. Among the subjects that have risen to the forefront of conversation are the bevy of often-funny glitches throughout Cyberpunk 2077, from NPC models bugging out to vehicles sinking into the floor or cascading through the air. With the game having released in an under-baked state, particularly on PS4 and Xbox One, there is no shortage of issues to comb through....

The Dark Souls series has plenty of tough bosses that drive players to break their controllers. Take Ornstein and Smough, for example. They’re almost impossible to beat without a plan of attack or at least a method for splitting them up. The Gaping Dragon might not hold a candle to the aforementioned dynamic duo, but a player going for that essential Dark Souls playthrough blind and with minimal assistance is bound to find themselves intimidated by its ghastly appearance and powerful repertoire of attacks....

One of the biggest changes FromSoftware made between Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls was overhauling how healing worked. In Demon’s Souls, players healed by eating Grass – a resource that came in multiple varieties that could be easily farmed (but had to be farmed considering its inconsistent drop rate across the game). To remedy this fact, FromSoftware introduced the Estus Flask, which has since become a Dark Souls staple. The Estus Flask allows Chosen Undead to heal themselves off a finite resource that fully replenishes at any Bonfire....

Days Gone director John Garvin speaks of his frustrations with consumers not buying games at launch, declaring “if you love a game, buy it at fucking full price.” As reported by VGC, Garvin was responding to a question on whether or not he was pleased with Days Gone recently featuring on PS Plus as one of April’s free games. As well as responding with the expletive, Garvin complained “I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen gamers say ‘yeah, I got that on sale, I got it through PS Plus, whatever’....

When Hideo Kojima released a mysterious trailer for Death Stranding two years ago, he stated that the game had already begun. Two years and as many subsequent trailers on, fans are still clamoring to complete as much of the puzzle as possible when it comes to the world Kojima is crafting. This weekend, Death Stranding received another bit of enigmatic world building from Kojima in the form of an Instagram image tasing the Bridges organization, which both Norman Reedus and the player seem to be members of....

Though not necessarily an important Demon’s Souls character, Patches the Hyena still holds an immense weight in the background as an everlasting FromSoftware cameo. The character of Patches first appeared in Armored Core, except then he was known simply as Patch the Good Luck. In later FromSoft experiences, Patches would become a recurring character, making appearances in the first and third Dark Souls games, referenced in the second under the pseudonym of Pate, as well as even Bloodborne, in which Patches, unfortunately, evolved into a spider....

The first weekend of Trials of Osiris has concluded and the most popular weapons of the PvP playlist have bubbled to the top, establishing the weapons that players felt were most effective in the 3v3 Elimination mode. Trials of Osiris has often served as a good barometer as to what weapons are dominant in all of PvP because Trials is the most competitive playlist in Destiny 2, thus players bring their very best gear to help them win and make it to the Lighthouse for its rewards....

Bungie and Riot Games, the developers behind Destiny 2 and Valorant respectively, have had to deal with cheating in their influential first-person shooters since releasing them on PC. The cheating has only worsened since then, and players who opt to play fair and square often find themselves at near-impossible disadvantages. When this happens enough, it leads to them quitting the game and even sometimes bad-mouthing the developers. As a result, Bungie and Riot Games have decided to come together and sue the biggest distributor of cheats for their games: Cameron Santos and his GatorCheats company....

This week brought a brand new quest to Destiny 2 players involving the Warmind Rasputin and the former Iron Lord Felwinter. While players know the ultimate reward leads back to the classic Destiny shotgun Felwinter’s Lie, this quest also appears to carry some important narrative to it as well. Speculation on what this could mean for the game’s story continues to be a hot topic in the community and has only gone up since Bungie made another recent reveal....

Season 3 in Destiny 2 and the release of the highly anticipated Destiny 2 Warmind expansion are on the horizon, and Bungie is making some big changes to the game that will be implemented during the Destiny 2 weekly reset on Tuesday. Recently, in addition to many other changes, Bungie has also announced and explained the changes that will be made to Eververse with the advent of Season 3. Bungie is adding a new feature to Eververse called Prismatic Matrix....
