By and large the Destiny community can be a welcoming group. It’s true that there are Destiny elitists out there, who exclude players for not owning a particular weapon or having a high K/D, but there are people who are willing to accept any and all that share a love for Bungie’s new game. In a world plagued with uncertainty, one man who has made uncertainty his entire career is ironically providing some much needed focus. David Lynch, who created such surreal experiences as Twin Peaks and the film adaptation of Dune, has decided to grace the internet with his own personal spin on daily weather updates. Starting in May, Lynch began to upload short daily videos to his YouTube channel giving weather reports from his Los Angeles home....

Development of DayZ, the perpetually-in-Early-Access open world survival zombie shooter, continues moving forward. While answering questions on Twitter, the DayZ development team confirmed that the game is still planned for console release. However, the game will first land on Xbox Game Preview before making the jump any further. According to the tweet from DayZ’s official development Twitter account, DayZ will drop on Xbox Game Preview later this year. While that’s quite a ways out, it’s not a bad wait considering a console port wasn’t even announced yet....

Killers, get ready to make survivors “Yee” their last “Haws” with the release of the Chains Of Hate update in Dead by Daylight, available today. Priced at $7.99, the newest chapter in the asymmetrical horror game brings a new killer, the Deathslinger. With his highly modified rifle, the Deathslinger takes aim and fires at survivors. A hit will impale a victim with a spear on a chain, and gradually, the survivor will be reeled in towards the killer....

Dead Rising 4 executive producer Joe Nickolls reveals that while Dead Rising 3 allows players to craft vehicles, Dead Rising 4 allows players to craft body mods. Following a series of leaks that let the undead cat out of the bag long before it was scheduled, Dead Rising 4 was officially revealed during the Microsoft E3 2016 press conference. Frank West returns as a protagonist in the new game, which is exclusive to Xbox One and Windows 10, once gain taking down zombies in a shopping mall....

Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima has taken to Twitter to explain how the game’s story and gameplay are connected. Kojima says that Death Stranding will help to break down the “walls” that people have built and will help them stop living in “isolation.” After revealing a brand new Death Stranding trailer, Kojima shared a statement telling fans a bit more about what the game will offer. Kojima calls the game a “new type of action game” that is about reconnecting isolated cities and a “fragmented society....

Destiny 2’s Presage mission is notable for its tense atmosphere, memorable encounters, and the sheer number of collectibles it has. Guardians can find 15 unique scannable objects and 12 datapads throughout this mission, making it the most feature-rich Exotic mission Bungie has ever released. Since only one datapad can be opened per week, most Guardians will want to direct their attention towards the 15 scannable objects this mission has. They behave a little bit differently than past Exotic missions, rotating based on your character’s collectible progress rather than a weekly rotation....

The Beyond Light expansion implemented many sweeping changes to Destiny 2 as well as adding some brand new content. Fans finally got to play with the first of the long awaited Darkness subclasses, delved into the icy moon of Europa, and faced a new faction of Fallen. Meanwhile, Hand Cannon weapon archetypes got holistic reworks and the progression systems saw tuning. That said, Bungie usually omits few worthwhile updates from the patch notes every so often....

A recent addition to Destiny 2’s emblem collection suggests the game may soon add a free trial for players. The emblem, which is called Mentor of Light, only just appeared in Destiny 2 and has prompted plenty of speculation. Since Bungie has not officially announced a Destiny 2 trial it is unclear how substantial this offering will be. Back around the time Destiny 1 first launched, Bungie released a trial for players that functioned a lot like the game’s beta, unlocking the bulk of Earth’s content as a type of demo....

With the final Iron Banner event all wrapped up, Season 2 is quickly coming to a close. Bungie has been promising fans quite a bit of change when the third season of Destiny 2 kicks off including the addition of the second piece of downloadable content known as Warmind. The expansion takes players back to Mars to explore a new region known as Hellas Basin where the Hive are lurking. Unlike the previous game, this region is in the polar ice cap of the red planet where Warmind Rasputin has re-awoken....

Even though the physical first-week sales of Destiny 2 may not be as high as its predecessor, the launch week was largely a success for the shooter loot sequel. This past weekend, Bungie took to Twitter to boast that its latest game managed to record 1.2 million players online at the same time this past weekend, a benchmark the franchise has not seen since The Taken King expansion launched two years ago....

Developed by the relatively-unknown Phobia Game Studio, Carrion is a recently-released 2D destruction sandbox that gives players a rare chance to step into the role of a The Thing-esque creature and terrorize a research facility. Described as a “reverse horror game,” it definitely feels like a breath of fresh air in the genre, but the concept isn’t totally unique. Though it’s rarely seen in gaming, a few titles have dared to put players in the shoes of an antagonist....

CDPR believes Cyberpunk 2077’s sales across all available platforms are being affected by the game’s ongoing absence from the PS Store. CD Projekt Red’s quest to fix Cyberpunk 2077 continues. Last week’s 1.2 patch fixes more than 500 of the game’s bugs. However, that still doesn’t seem to have satisfied Sony. More than three months after Cyberpunk was delisted from the PlayStation Store, it has still not returned. During a recent conference call, CDPR’s Michał Nowakowski claims that is affecting sales of Cyberpunk across all platforms....
