First introduced in Season 3, the Service Revolver Hand Cannon received some extra attention in season 6 of Destiny 2. It originally had set rolls, meaning that every Service Revolver was practically the same, but season 6 gave it random rolls when it dropped. However, to get a Service Revolver with random rolls, Destiny 2 players will need the original revolver with set rolls, so here’s how to get the original and the one with random rolls....

Destiny 2: Beyond Light, the latest expansion for Bungie’s popular first-person shooter, has been a financial success thus far. After releasing on November 10, Destiny 2 claimed two top-selling spots on Steam for its launch week. However, players have had their share of issues with the new content introduced by Beyond Light, and in today’s “This Week at Bungie” community update, the developer said it intends to address the overpowered Warlock Shadebinder subclass in particular....

Earlier this week, Destiny 2 received a small hotfix that was meant to disable artifact power in the Trials of Osiris with the goal of providing an even playing field among all players. Unfortunately, what was meant to solve one problem seems to have created another as some players report a serious problem affecting the loot they are supposed to be receiving in game. The problem is interesting, to say the least, because right now not all players are experiencing the same issue....

It’s almost time for another World First race in Destiny 2. With the coming of Beyond Light brings a brand new raid to Bungie’s looter shooter, and that means it’s time to host another race to see which 6-person fireteam will be the first to solve what has historically been the hardest content available in Destiny. As in previous World First raids, Bungie will host a 24-hour competition. The first team to defeat the new raid will get an award ceremony and a special title belt confirming that they’re the first people in the world to beat the new raid that arrives shortly after Beyond Light hits servers in November....

It looks like the troubles afflicting Destiny 2’s pinnacle PvP game mode, Trials of Osiris, are going to take more than a few days to solve. Just last weekend, developer Bungie disabled Trials after match-fixing became so widespread that it threatened the overall health of the game, and the most recent update on Bungie’s blog provides no timeline for when Trials will return. What got Trials disabled was known as the “Hakke Emblem Method,” and it basically allowed players to share wins in order for them to eventually guarantee the best possible loot drops....

The ninth week of Season of the Chosen has begun in Destiny 2, bringing five new Seasonal Challenges for Guardians to complete. Unlike previous weeks, these challenges are much less time-consuming to complete this time. Kills as an Invader, countering Champions, and Presage completions are the three main challenges this week. Even if you don’t fancy Gambit, completing all five challenges shouldn’t take nearly as much time as earning Infamy or Valor ranks....

Over the past few weeks, bugs and glitches have been a consistent thorn in the side of Destiny 2 players. Xur, Agent of the Nine is one of the most mysterious characters in the Destiny universe. We haven’t had direct contact with any of the beings from the Nine except for Xur and the Emissary of the Nine, who we met in Trials of the Nine back in Year 1 of Destiny 2. Xur is the exotic vendor in Destiny 2 who brings one featured weapon and three armor pieces (one for each class, Hunter, Titan, and Warlock) every Friday at reset and leaves the next Tuesday at weekly reset which is 10 AM Pacific....

Monster Hunter Rise arrives on the Nintendo Switch this coming Friday, March 26, and Capcom has high hopes for its first Switch-made Monster Hunter game. So high, in fact, that Capcom has raised its financial expectations for 2021 on what they think will be a smash hit. “We’re very confident that the massive success we’ve had in the past on Monster Hunter: World will transfer across to the passionate fanbase we have on Nintendo Switch,” said Capcom Europe COO Stuart Turner in a recent interview with GamesIndustry....

The release date for cyberpunk stealth-action RPG Disjunction has been revealed. The game - from indie developer Ape Tribe Games - will launch on January 28, 2021 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox One X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Disjunction takes place in a futuristic dystopian New York City with three playable characters that share an interconnected storyline. The game features stealth gameplay akin to Metal Gear Solid, in which players will need to stay in the shadows while hiding the bodies of knocked out guards before other, still-conscious enemies come across them....
