Death Stranding is one of the most highly anticipated games around but even fans admit that the new game from Hideo Kojima seems incredibly confusing. A lot of what has been revealed of the game doesn’t make sense and the new trailer that debuted at The Game Awards 2017 didn’t make things much clearer. But Kojima insists that the game’s concepts and themes will tie together. In a new interview, the Death Stranding creator revealed that “A lot of people have been telling me, ‘You’re crazy like Stanley Kubrick…like David Lynch,’ and I’m honored, but these are all elements that play into the game design, and they do come together and they’re in line....

The PlayStation 5 releases in less than two weeks and with it, expectations for video games on next-generation consoles will be initially set. That’s because the PS5, unlike the Xbox Series X, features first-party launch titles exclusive to the platform. They’re built for the PS5, after all. And no game stands out for this reason more than Demon’s Souls. The Bluepoint remake is a visual powerhouse. Destiny 2’s latest update reworks raid rewards and adds a mod slot to raid armor, which grants a unique raid-related perk. All the mods and their corresponding perks have been identified, and they are actually quite good. The one caveat is that these mods are only active while on the Leviathan, so they will only be active and useful in the Leviathan raid or Eater of Worlds raid lair. Going down the armor pieces available in Destiny 2, the helmet mod will drop with one available, but it will be specific to one of the three elemental damage types:...

Guardians and Fallen will be teaming up to defeat the Vex in Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer. Season 14 is shaping up to be a rather meaty season. A six-player matchmade activity, weekly pinnacle mission, the Vault of Glass raid, and dozens of new weapons to chase will keep avid fans busy for weeks. Season of the Splicer has over 30 new and reprised Legendary weapons for players to chase....

Destiny 2 has already entered its fourth year, and Bungie has kept the game relevant with five different expansions. Bungie has plans for at least two more big updates for the game in the next two years. With every expansion, players were given the opportunity to achieve an even higher level with upgraded powerful armor. After the Season of The Chosen update, players can achieve a power level of 1310 if they have the correct armor and weapons....

For Season of the Drifter, Destiny 2 has introduced a new vanguard pinnacle weapon in the form of the Oxygen SR3 Scout Rifle. It seems people are split on the effectiveness of the rifle, but it’s worth mentioning that it is an Energy Solar 180 RPM weapon. As a pinnacle weapon, it is technically designed to be worked on throughout the season, as it requires 75 strikes, precision kills, and orbs of light....

In addition to all of the new loot and content players will come across in Destiny 2, Bungie has made sure to pack its latest shooter with plenty of things for players to find and discover. Console players have already been scouring the title in an effort to bring many of those secrets to light and to learn how new features such as those EDZ tokens actually work. Clovis Bray had always been a mysterious character in Destiny lore since the story began. Players noticed he had a grimoire card and his name was displayed everywhere on Mars. He clearly was an important figure, but it wasn’t until Destiny 2’s Beyond Light expansion that players understood his story. While most Destiny players have September 15th circled in bold red sharpie on their calendars, what with that being The Taken King’s launch date and all, plenty have their sights set on the 8th. That day, for those who might not know, is when Destiny will launch update 2.0 and usher Bungie’s MMO/FPS into year 2. Earlier this week marked the launch of the Black Armory update for Destiny 2, something that Bungie has been careful to not compare to a traditional expansion like Warmind or Forsaken. Instead of adding a chunk of new content and story missions on day 1, Black Armory acts more as the starting point for a content cycle like the replayable activities known as Lost Forges. For most players, these events are difficult due to the higher than normal power level requirements....

Crucible fans are in for a bit of disappointment, as today Bungie announced that 6v6 Iron Banner in Destiny 2 would be delayed due to a late-breaking issue discovered in internal testing. Bungie is actively working to fix the issue, but the fix will not be ready before the weekly reset on April 10. 6v6 Iron Banner was set to make a comeback in Destiny 2 after high demand for a return to Destiny 1-inspired Crucible matches....

Destiny 2’s fourth year is just getting started, but many players are already eager to see what Savathun’s arrival in The Witch Queen will bring after Beyond Light’s divisive results. Many changes Bungie has already promised will pave the way to the next expansion as they are implemented throughout Year 4. However, there is still a lot riding on The Witch Queen’s shoulders, which Joe Blackburn might address next season....

While Destiny has made a name for itself by shaking up the traditional MMO formula, fans weren’t prepared for the internal shake-ups that developer Bungie was planning for the game, foremost among them the replacement of Ghost’s voice actor. Game of Throne’s Peter Dinklage contributed his award winning voice to the role of Destiny’s AI companion, but Bungie has decided to scrub the actor from the game and replace him with Nolan North....

In a joint operation between Tencent and Chinese police in the city of Kunshan, Jiangsu province, a cheat-making operation has been shut down following a police raid. The BBC reports that the raid was codenamed “Chicken Drumstick,” which perhaps refers to the deliciousness of catching these cheaters with their pants down. With over $76 million in revenue, the raid is being hailed as the “world’s largest” video game cheat sting....

Earlier this year, during the Inside Xbox event, Deep Silver announced a new game called Chorus. Chorus is a next-generation game, and looks to show off the brand new technology of the Xbox Series X and PS5. Its reveal trailer mostly showed cutscenes, but there was also some gameplay thrown in. Chorus centers on Nara, the focus and hope for a frightening interstellar cult. The trailer makes it clear that the cult’s desires do not align with her own, as Nara escapes and fights back against them using a small starfighter....

Civilization V includes a total of 43 different civilizations. Each civilization has factors that are unique to that civilization. These unique qualities include abilities, units, improvements, and starting biases. All of these factors and a number of others were assessed before compiling this list. Each of the best civilizations needed to be strong in their respective victory type, but also versatile. After years of Civilization V, top civilizations have both risen and fallen since the game’s launch....

This Clarice review contains spoilers. Clarice Episode 7 Clarice, episode 7, “Ugly Truth,” is a monster-of-the-week exploration of a cold case procedural. It also moves the overall arc along as true ugliness is found within. “Some monster killed two little kids,” Ardelia Mapp (Devyn Tyler) says. The episode opens with a hideous image, foreshadowed and cinematically darkened by the growing buzz of a swarm of flies. The opening shot is quite masterful....

Apparel designed for use in esports remains, currently, more of a hypothetical than an established trend. While products like Puma’s “active gaming footwear” do exist, these sorts of items have yet to approach anything close to standardized use in the esports world, indicating that the idea behind their creation has yet to be actualized.
