Bungie announces two new freelance playlists coming to Destiny next week, allowing lone wolf players to be matched up with other lone wolf types in a variety of mixed modes. As the Destiny population prepares itself for the in-game Crimson Days holiday at the Tower, Bungie is introducing a number of new fixes and changes to the game in update 2.1.1 which hits alongside the festive event. One of the bigger additions is the new freelance playlist, which should make lone wolf Destiny players quite happy....

Since Cyberpunk 2077’s announcement in 2013, there have been two Last of Us games, a new Half-Life, an entire Star Wars trilogy, and a slew of delays despite promises to the contrary - to say fans have been patient would be an understatement. Luckily, CD Projekt Red appears to be gearing up for the December 10 release as they have assured investors that there will be no more delays. The last delay followed CD Projekt Red’s re-assurance only a day earlier on Twitter that the release date was set in stone, in late October....

Destiny has only been out for about a week and a half but already gamers are starting to see the experience wearing thin. Those who are high enough level can take on the 11+-hour raid, but the rest of us are left replaying old Strikes hoping for a Legendary Engram. Today, however, a new Destiny task is entering the fray and it looks mighty challenging. While so far the Bungie developers have kept to themselves when it comes to Destiny, that will change at between 7pm and 8pm PST, when some of the team behind the game enter the Crucible....

Codecademy is offering free coding classes to those who have faced furlough or unemployment during quarantine. Codecademy is an online training program for coding students of all levels. The interactive classroom offers classes in a dozen coding languages including Ruby, Java and JavaScript, Python, and Sass. Codecademy has been around since 2011 and has millions of users. The program is operating off of a one to five model, for every person who signs up for Codecademy Pro, five free memberships will be offered to the furloughed or unemployed....

Conan Exiles developer Funcom holds an AMA on Reddit concerning gameplay bugs as well as planned, already controversial, features for the ‘brutal’ survival game. A few days ago, Conan Exiles developer Funcom had an ask-me-anything session on Reddit. Among the issues discussed were the game’s planned patches for launch bugs, some new features the studio is working on, and, of course, some of the more controversial features that the game has, especially the full-frontal nudity and the slider that lets players decide on the size of their protagonist’s sexual features....

Even recently, Control has been re-released for next-gen consoles to push the already high standard the game set. It turns out that D&D players really like the Echo Knight subclass from Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount. Critical Role’s Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount sourcebook came out about a month and a half ago, so naturally D&D Beyond has some updated stats on just what sort of content everyone is gravitating towards. Their latest developer update revealed which subclasses and which spells from Wildemount are the most popular and topping the list is the new Fighter subclass, the Echo Knight....

While this is just conjecture at this point in time, it looks as if Fury’s whip in Darksiders 3 will have a similar reach, speed, and range of motion of Kratos’ Blades of Olympus in the God of War series....

Six years after directing Gone Girl, David Fincher has returned to feature films with Netflix’s biographical drama Mank. Audiences can expect the partnership between Fincher and Netflix to continue as the filmmaker has confirmed he signed an exclusive four-year deal with the streamer. Fincher and Netflix have already established a working relationship over the years, with the filmmaker serving as a co-executive producer and occasional director on one of the service’s initial hits, House of Cards....

Since Days Gone was initially announced, the PS4 exclusive has been a major cause of excitement for gamers. Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical horror game that is available for players on many different platforms. Now the killers and survivors from these different platforms can play together thanks to full cross-play being implemented for PC and consoles. The full implementation of Dead by Daylight’s cross-play means that players on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch can play side by side. The only exception to cross-play is the mobile version of Dead by Daylight....

It’s funny to consider that one of the most highly anticipated releases for the PS5’s launch line-up is a game from 2009, but that just goes to show how well-regarded Bluepoint Games’ work is. The remake of Demon’s Souls polishes the experience to such a degree that the two games could be unrecognizable placed next to each other. Bluepoint’s dedicated to authenticity is excellent, but it’s the ways that Bluepoint has improved Demon’s Souls that should make it a proper next-generation release distinct from the original....

Destiny: Rise of Iron looks to continue the tradition set by the game’s last raid by introducing Challenge Modes to its newest Wrath of the Machine raid. Hot on the heels of the announcement that Destiny’s new Wrath of the Machine raid is getting Heroic Mode on October 18th, the sci-fi shooter’s developer, Bungie, also confirmed that Wrath of the Machine will have Challenge Modes. In Bungie’s weekly blog, Community Manager DeeJ issues the clear tease that Challenge Modes are on the horizon:...

Earlier today, Destiny 2’s servers were down for maintenance, as Bungie needed to inject the science fiction shooter with a hot fix that would provide some changes for the game. Now, the repairs have been completed, and the video game developer has decided to provide fans with a run down of all the tweaks and alterations that have been made to the title by releasing Update 1.0.3.1’s patch notes, which can be found in full at the end of the article....

Destiny 2’s Seeds of Light have been causing a bit of a controversy in the community. Prior to today, the only way players could obtain the final Seed was to complete the first encounter in the Last Wish raid. However, Destiny 2’s third and final Seed of Light is now available to all players, and it does not require players to go into the raid to unlock it. To unlock the final Seed of Light, players will need to speak to Petra Venj in the Dreaming City and pick up the Gateway Between Worlds weekly bounty....
