What was once an exclusive social space for only those who could earn the ultimate victory in Destiny 1’s hardest PvP mode will now be open to all in Destiny 2’s first expansion, Curse of Osiris. The Lighthouse, which was unlocked as a reward for going Flawless in Trials of Osiris, will be the new social space for the game’s first DLC. However, the Lighthouse has changed since players last visited it....
Gambit is the new mode coming to Destiny 2 with Forsaken, the game’s fall expansion. Gambit is a hybrid between PvE and PvP where two teams face off in separate arenas to see which team can clear their own arena of PvE enemies. Of course, there’s a PvP twist, which allows for teams to interfere with each other’s progress as well as having two chances per match to invade the other team’s side of the map....
Today Bungie confirmed that the devs are listening to Destiny 2 fans’ complaints and concerns, by outlining plans to improve the game in numerous ways. Specifically, Bungie wants to make activities in Destiny 2 more rewarding, and to honor the effort of players that complete the most difficult experiences. While Bungie did not explain how it plans to boost rewards in Destiny 2, there were a few activities that it singled out as needing a buff....
The new Iron Banner event landed for the first time in Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals. Along with new and returning loot, the popular PvP mode changed its matchmaking system, to great effect. Iron Banner has had its ups and downs since the first game. It was even dubbed “Iron Lagger” by some players due to how bad connection could get during the chaotic 6v6 matches. Since Destiny 2 uses a hybrid of client-server and peer-to-peer connection systems, players don’t simply connect to the best server in their vicinity....

Back in October, Andrzej Sapowski, the creator of The Witcher series, demanded additional compensation from game developer CD Projekt Red due to the widespread success of the series in recent years. While Sapkowski won’t be receiving the full amount of royalties he originally requested, the two sides appear to have come to an amicable agreement. At first, Andrjez Sapkowski had demanded 60 million PLN (Polish zloty), which equals just over $16 million USD, for royalties related to sequel and spin-off games in The Witcher video game series....

Crysis Remastered has had something of a confused lead up to its release with leaks, backtracking and delays. Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that’s as decisive as it comes. A lot of people found it decent enough, while others found the game’s issues absolutely inexcusable. Following Cyberpunk 2077’s removal from the PlayStation Network, neither CD Projekt Red or Sony have provided any indication as to when you can expect to see the game return. In today’s earnings call, executives declined to comment on sales, and noted CDPR is working with Sony to meet the requirements to return to its storefront. Axios reporter Stephen Totilo highlighted the conversation on Twitter, quoting executives as saying “there is a process” for returning to the PSN, but Cyberpunk 2077 will have to meet certain metrics set by Sony first....
