Netflix’s Adaptation of the cult classic game series by Konami, Castlevania has been generally well-received by the community. Season 1 was insanely short but served as an elongated proof-of-concept while Season 2 really built up and drove home the relationship between Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard. Season 3 was more of the same with a bit more intrigue and set-up for future confrontations. Season 4 is on the horizon, and there’s still a lot from the many, many games that fans are hoping make it into the show – monster designs especially....

Prepare to die again with the Digital Deluxe Edition of Demon’s Souls on November 12. It will cost $89.99 and comes with a bunch of digital content that goes against the whole point of the game. According to the PlayStation Blog, it will include the Original Soundtrack by Shunsuke Kida, which will likely be its own app on the PS4 like inFAMOUS: Second Son’s OST. Next is the Legendary Hero Soul, Renowned Warrior Soul, and the Storied Warrior Soul....

When the remastered version of Crysis released, it wasn’t met with the kind of reception the game got when it released for the very first time so many years ago. The hype for Cyberpunk 2077 has been continuously growing since the game was first announced all the way back in May of 2012. Cyberpunk 2077is set to release just some months from now and while CD Projekt Red has done a good job keeping most of the game under wraps, we still have a handful of great information about the upcoming title....

After eight long years, the Cyberpunk 2077 launch didn’t go quite as smoothly as most people expected. While the game sold like crazy, topping all sorts of sales charts and beating long held records, the end product was riddled with glitches, bugs, and features that felt rushed or unfinished. Things got so bad for the base version consoles that Sony delisted the game entirely from its online store while other online locations and retailers offered full refunds....

Cyberpunk 2077 landed earlier this month but not necessarily to the reception everyone expected. While PC reviews of Cyberpunk 2077 have been just fine, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game have been deemed “unplayable,” “broken,” and far worse. This, in turn, resulted in a surprising move on Sony’s behalf: issued refunds and a complete removal of the game from the store. Microsoft would somewhat follow suit, instead opting to display a warning on the game’s store page....

Comic Relief’s D&D experience at Warwick Castle, England sounds like it’d be an event for kids except for three things. First, there’s a night-time buffet that’s being advertised as having “wine” and “beer,” so that cuts out anyone under 18. Second, D&D really isn’t a kid’s game anymore, with 60% of players being over the age of 25. And third, someone will take home a real-life sword at the end of this two-day experience....

Nintendo Switch owners will be upset to learn that their trips to Lordran have been delayed. Bandai Namco announced today that Dark Souls Remastered won’t be coming to the console on its originally scheduled date, and has been pushed to summer 2018. Without stating a clear reason, the official Dark Souls Twitter instead blamed “the nature of causality,” which could mean pretty much anything. Regardless of whatever prompted the decision, the team assured players that the time will “ultimately be used to improve your journey to Lordran....

Some recent research performed by car performance brand Redex has revealed that according to average monthly Google searches, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is by far the most popular game in the Mario Kart franchise. 2017’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an enhanced release of the 2014 Mario Kart 8 racing game, which was originally launched on the Wii U. Since its release for the Nintendo Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has amassed more than 28 million copies sold worldwide, making it Nintendo’s best-selling game ever....

EA’s critically acclaimed survival horror game Dead Space turns 10 today. While it eventually leaned towards a more action-adventure tone by the end of the trilogy, the Dead Space series went on to sell over 10 million copies, and extended beyond just video games with spin-off stories across different forms of media. So, in order to celebrate the title, here’s a look back at the series starting with the origins of 2008’s Dead Space, but be forewarned as SPOILERS ARE INBOUND....

Recent updates on the Deadly Premonition website indicate that this creepy looking game will be launching at a super low price point of $19.99 to the Xbox 360 exclusively. The last time I remember a survival horror game launching this cheaply and with minor fanfare was when the PSOne era Martian Gothic made its debut. I have higher hopes for Deadly Premonition though. I’ve got to say that this new reveal trailer for Ignition Entertainment’s entry level endeavor is fairly gripping, if not graphically all that impressive....

Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima’s first project since his departure from the video game company Konami, gets confirmation as running at native 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro. Last night was a major evening for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain director Hideo Kojima, as he received the Industry Icon Award at The Game Awards 2016, which was then followed by his unveiling of never-before-seen materials for his mysterious forthcoming project Death Stranding that was wrapped in the form of a trailer featuring filmmaker Guillermo del Toro....

The first film in 20 years from the master of marital strife thrillers, Adrian Lyne (who made Fatal Attraction and Indecent Proposal)! Deep Water should really have been a steamy romp, but instead it’s a bit of a wet fish. But wet fish can be fun too, and Deep Water at least contains twists, murders, and a “huh” ending (which is a bit different from the one in the novel – more on that later)....
