Bungie community manager David Dague, more commonly known by the moniker DeeJ, spoke recently about what Destiny 2 players can expect to find after completing the game’s story. In an interview with Heavy, DeeJ answered the question figuratively. He’s not going to spoil the game’s ending a month before launch, after all. But while his answer may not cover any new ground regarding specific in-game content, it is interesting to hear Bungie’s philosophy on Destiny 2 end-game....

It wouldn’t be Destiny 2 without a few confusing twist and turns, and the newest season comes right out of the gate with a real head-scratcher. After completing the introductory mission to Season of the Splicer and meeting up with Mithrax, your guardian will be kicked back to orbit and instructed to meet him back in the Last City. The problem is, is surprisingly difficult to figure out where exactly the Last City is....

Each week seems to bring new information about the highly anticipated Destiny 2 expansion Beyond Light. Previously, fans got to know more about the newest element type, Stasis, and what that means for the new subclasses. This week, Bungie provided fans a better look at the latest destination of Europa. The desolate and icy moon of Jupiter also has a few surprises in store for players including dynamic weather systems, which can change the look and feel of the world in a moment’s notice....

This week, Activision revealed that Destiny 2’s first major expansion, Forsaken, failed to meet sales expectations despite a more positive reception from the game’s community. As a result, the publisher claims it has plans for Destiny 2 to increase the cadence of content releases and apparently add microtransactions, but how quickly those changes may occur is unclear. What has been made a little clearer, however, is the release date of Destiny 2’s next DLC, Black Armory....

In just a few weeks, the next DLC expansion will drop for Destiny 2. Warmind, as it’s titled, will introduce a new mode, which is the closest thing the Destiny franchise has ever had to a traditional horde mode, called Hive Escalation Protocol. Inside that new event, there is an Easter egg that harkens all the way back to the Destiny 1 Beta. Destiny is home to numerous formidable alien races but the Hive are arguably the most imposing and unnerving faction in the game. Even so, players have slaughtered their way through much of the Hive nobility and user Cr4shdown on Reddit created a handy infographic to show how much of the Hive “royal family” is still standing. The Hive are different from the other races of Destiny in that they are ruled essentially by one large family....

As the Beyond Light expansion release nears, many Destiny 2 players are putting the finishing touches on their preparation for the new content. From collecting gear to hoarding resources, there is a lot that can be done to prep for a new DLC’s launch, but some of those tasks can only be done with a fireteam. Grabbing raid gear for Beyond Light, for example, typically requires 6 players, but thanks to a glitch, anyone can nab themselves one piece of gear per week with minimal effort....

Destiny 2’s second Year 1 expansion, Warmind, added modifiers to the Heroic Strikes playlist that further set them apart from the normal strike playlist as a middle-of-the-road option between that and the weekly Nightfall Strike. Each week, the Heroic Strike playlist receives a weekly Singe modifier that is persistent until the next weekly reset in Destiny 2. This increases incoming and outgoing damage of a particular elemental type. In addition, two more modifiers—one which provides the player with an advantage, and another that adds a disadvantage—refresh each day....

Good news for Destiny 2 fans—the upcoming quest for The Last Word exotic hand cannon won’t be time-gated. Both Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 have featured a number of quests throughout the past few years that made players wait days or weeks to finally earn their final rewards. However, according to developer Bungie, that won’t be the case when the quest for The Last Word kicks off. Bungie community manager Cozmo took to the Destiny subreddit to respond to a post made by a fan begging for the quest not to stretch over many weeks and resets....

Destiny 2 veterans are no strangers to glitches that allow for unintentionally overpowered plays. There’s a lengthy history of game-breaking bugs in Bungie’s shooter, so it won’t come as much of a shock that, in the wake of the Beyond Light expansion’s launch this week, players have discovered that the Warlock’s new Stasis subclass, the Shadebinder, can pull off an endless super. It’s only been two days since the expansion introduced icy Darkness-based subclasses to Destiny 2, and already players have found a way to break them to their advantage....

This week, Destiny 2 developer Bungie discussed some ways it hopes to improve the Trials of Osiris PvP mode to make it more enjoyable for players. But most of the planned changes won’t go into effect until next season at the earliest, which leaves players the option of trying to make the most of Trials as is, or waiting until the mode improves. Unfortunately, those who still want to get something out of Trials were met with some frustration this weekend....

The endless night has finally ended this week in Destiny 2. Now that Quria is defeated, all that’s left between this and the next season are Solstice of Heroes and the end-of-season epilogue. Of course, this week also comes with a new set of Seasonal Challenges. To tie in with the launch of this year’s Solstice of Heroes event, most of the challenges this week revolve around elemental final blows. Every challenge this week is fairly easy to complete, albeit a little grindy....

A few weeks have gone by since the release of Resident Evil 3, and Capcom wants to know what you think about the base game and the bundled Resident Evil Resistance mode. In a Tweet that contains a link to the survey, Capcom is interested to know what players think about the game, the entire Resident Evil franchise, how announcements and trailers impacted the game, next generation consoles, and so on....

Capcom is set to host a Resident Evil Village Launch Special livestream on May 7. As spotted by Gematsu, the live stream will be presented by game producer Tsuyoshi Kanda and director Morimasa Sato. Additionally, the stream will feature comedian Eiko Kano as a special guest along with the regular Capcom TV hosts, Ayana and Gorgeous. Capcom is currently running a multi-platform RE Village demo. This was in response to fans who either didn’t get a chance, or couldn’t get enough of the original demo that showcased Castle Dimitrescu and everybody’s favourite tall vampire lady....

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is barely finished, but we already know what’s in store for Sam and Bucky. A new Captain America movie is officially in the works, and Malcolm Spellman will return to co-write the script. The announcement (via The Hollywood Reporter) tells us little else, but it does confirm that Spellman will share writing duties with Dalan Musson, who was a staff writer on Falcon and Winter Soldier....

In the mid-20th century that idea was the expansive West and the cowboys brave enough to lay claim to it. More recently superheroes comic book adaptations have dominated the cinematic landscape It’s zombies, however, that are now among our most ubiquitous cultural touchstones and it’s not immediately evident why....

Castlevania is one of the oldest and most recognized horror adventure franchises in video game history, and it’s gone on to spawn multiple sequels and an animated Netflix series. The game draws heavily on Christian folklore and Greek mythology as a basis for the monsters it has created throughout the years. While the hordes of Hell are all dangerous tools wielded by Count Dracula, some are far more horrific and scary than others....

If an indie game (No Man’s Sky) can be the most noteworthy part of the Spike VGX Awards show; if an indie game can be one of the most popular video games of all-time (Minecraft); and if indie games made out of passion can become best-sellers on Steam (DayZ), why not take a stab at the indie scene with your own creativity? All it takes is resources and thanks to the advent of crowdfunding, big name publishers or highly strict investors are no longer necessary....

Helping kick off the annual E3 2019 PC Gaming Show with a big announcement, Tripwire Interactive took to the stage to reveal Chivalry 2 from Torn Banner Studios. Sequel to the surprisingly successful Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Chivalry 2 will deliver on the original games unique and nuanced combat while also providing intuitive improvements to make the game more accessible and fast-paced. Of course, it wouldn’t be Chivalry if it didn’t also retain the brutal decapitation mechanics, shown in gory detail in Chivalry 2’s announcement trailer....

The Pokemon franchise has been around for much of many gamers’ lives, and even for people who haven’t played the games, collected the cards, or watched the anime, the most iconic monsters are pretty easy to recognizable. Pikachu is the most ubiquitous mascot on real-world merchandise and branding, although in-game there are over 800 other creatures. And Pokemon are often inspired by real animals, making them more familiar to even people new to the games....
