A couple of days ago, Destiny content creator CoolGuy published a video discussing weapon archetype problems in Destiny 2. He states that there needs to be calculated changes in the sandbox before “weapon sunsetting” or history will repeat itself. This discussion around weapon viability in the Crucible stems from the fact that certain weapon archetypes/frames (a group of weapons sharing the same RPM) fall behind others while not offering anything meaningful to the sandbox....

This week officially kicks off the Faction Rally in Destiny 2, which allows players to pledge their allegiance to one of the three factions (Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, and Future War Cult) and earn gear when completing activities. More importantly, the addition to Destiny 2 has given players more items to collect and secrets to uncover, as evidenced by a new series of terminals in the Tower. While most players are laser focused on getting to their chosen Faction and earning Destiny 2 rewards, some may have noticed three new additions to the Tower....

Now that Bungie has announced veteran rewards for Destiny 1 players to redeem in Destiny 2, some might be wondering how much longer they have to earn those rewards. Yes, there is a cutoff date for Destiny 1 progress, and it’s not that far off. On August 1st, Bungie will officially cease tracking certain stats in Destiny 1 for the purpose of carrying over into Destiny 2. That means any who hope to earn all of the veteran emblems for the game will need to make sure they complete their tasks by August 1st....

With the largely underwhelming Guardian Games coming to a close with the Titans essentially wrapping up first place, all eyes have turned to Bungie as they continue to outline plans to fix Destiny 2 next season and beyond. While the company has yet to detail any narrative and gameplay moments from next season or the expected Fall release, the studio did confirm that Destiny 2 will be making the console leap to the PS5 and Xbox Series X....

Destiny 2’s Dawning event may not yet be over, but it appears that the multiplayer shooter is preparing for its next holiday-themed activity. According to a data mine of the Destiny 2 files, the Crimson Days event will be making a return this February, in time for Valentine’s Day. The files in question are a series of new ornaments for some of Destiny 2’s exotic weapons, specifically Sweet Business, Graviton Lance, Wardcliff Coil, and Prometheus Lens....

The upcoming Season of the Drifter and Joker’s Wild add-on in Destiny 2 is bringing a new Gambit Prime mode to the game, along with armor sets tailored to let players fill specific roles within the Gambit game mode. Now, Bungie may also be teasing some of the unique perks that those new armor sets will bring. In Bungie’s recent lore and narrative preview titled “The Reckoning,” keen-eyed fans have picked out some interesting details within the prose....

Following the official reveal trailer for Destiny 2, which was unleashed upon the gaming world a few months back, speculation about the upcoming sequel has been red-hot – particularly regarding what the title will include and how it will fit into the overall Destiny canon. A particular theory about Destiny 2 argues that subclasses from the Taken King DLC will be returning as the sequel’s third subclasses. Monster Hunter is rising to the occasion with a Nintendo Switch port set to release on March 26, 2021. On launch, you can find fan-favorites such as Nargaguca, Mizutsune, and Zinogre, but coming later in the free April update is Chameleos, last seen in 2017. In English, they’re called the Mist Dragon, a large purple and white horned beast with a leaf-like tail. Given the name, Chameleos, like with Chameleons, this foe can camouflage with the electric currents in its body and it can even go invisible....

The Chinese government looks set to tighten laws surrounding online gaming in its country, describing it as an “authority vacuum.” Although most governments around the world have had a hard time dealing with online gaming in recent years, none appear to have taken as much issue with it as China. The latest example of such is its government’s nationwide ban of new release, Animal Crossing: New Horizons. A new report from Taiwan News claims China’s next move will be to ban its gamers from playing online with anyone outside of the country....

Sid Meier’s Civilization 6 continues to expand its worldly scope thanks to the addition of nations such as Byzantium and Gaul in the New Frontier Pass last month. That update as part of the paid DLC pass also included a new map script and the Dramatic Ages game mode. However, the developer is also rolling out its third free content update to players this month, with a primary focus on pirates....

Crash 4’s listing on the PS Store states that the game will have an offline multiplayer mode of some sort for up for four players. Last week, information leaked revealing that a brand new Crash Bandicoot game was in the works. This is no regular Crash game either. As has now been confirmed by its developer Toys For Bob, the new Crash game will be called Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time....

In a battle royale game like Call of Duty: Warzone, players need to find the best way to take out their opponents before the encroaching out-of-bounds circle kills them instead. One Warzone fan who goes by ssieK on Reddit may have proven that one particular weapon type helps accomplish this goal much more efficiently than others. Cyberpunk 2077’s release was been a bit of a mixed bag. While it’s earned plenty of positive reviews - including a damn fine one from us - its console launch has been a tad on the disastrous side. The ports were the reason for the game’s most recent delay and it’s easy to see why. Along with its iconic boss fights and punishing difficulty, the Dark Souls series is known for its storytelling. Developer FromSoftware opted not to tell its story through redundant cutscenes that most players would simply skip. But instead allowed the player to learn the game’s story if they chose to. Through dialog with other characters, item descriptions, and by paying attention to the environments around them. FromSoftware didn’t just use this brand of storytelling for the main quest either....
