Although horror games haven’t been hard to find, it certainly feels like the genre has seen a major resurgence over the last few years. Thanks to games like Amnesia, Slenderman, and even P.T., the genre has thrived, to the point horror games are now a dime a dozen. Case in point: there are two asymmetrical multiplayer games in development that use horror as their foundations. One, the successful Kickstarter-funded Friday the 13th Game will pit groups of players, as camp counselors, against a single, player-controlled Jason Voorhees, whose sole goal is to kill everyone....

With Sony not attending E3 2019, the company is instead providing fans with new information and game details through other methods. Fans have already gotten a taste through the State of Play streams, but earlier this week Sony mixed things up again with one of its bigger games of 2019, Death Stranding. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim packs a lot of game into its fairly slim install space. It might be a couple of years old now, but players old and new are still finding new content, and, crucially, trying to decipher the game’s mysteries like medieval Humphrey Bogarts. You see, while the game may not deal with espionage, that doesn’t mean players are satisfied by the explanations or lack thereof that the game gives them for certain issues....

There’s no doubt that Jesse is a badass; her jacket and combat boots combo totally works for her. Still, as any video game with sliders has shown, gamers love playing around with their characters to make them look as ridiculous as possible. Sadly, Remedy’s Control doesn’t let its player change the main character’s appearance too much. However, there are several outfits you can unlock during your playthrough to give Jesse a fresher look, like the Gold Suit or the Expedition Outfit....

In a bid to keep players safe in a time when concerns continue to grow over the spread of Covid-19, the coronavirus, Niantic has postponed the next community scheduled for March in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Although the move seems logical in a time when players should be practicing social distancing, it is odd that Niantic has chosen a uniquely different approach for Pokémon GO. At its core, the decision to postpone the next Community Day is the right move to help prevent players from encountering other individuals, which could result in the transmission of the highly contagious....

Cyberpunk 2o77’s undeniably had a bad launch. Since day one, players have been encountering many issues in the game. Despite this, the game still has a lot of content for players to explore. Players have the choice to do Hustles for the NCPD to get various rewards. If players want to make the most out of their time in Vista Del Ray they should consider tracking down the Hidden Gems there....

CD Projekt Red and Bandai Namco already have a pretty strong relationship, with them having previously cooperated on The Witcher series, which no doubt led to cover star and main protagonist Geralt appearing as a guest character in Bandai Namco’s own upcoming fighting game, Soul Calibur 6. This partnership is now set to continue, as it was announced earlier today that Bandai Namco will be distributing CD Projekt Red’s next big open-world title, Cyberpunk 2077, throughout Europe....

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion fans are taking shots at Cyberpunk 2077’s technical shortcomings. CD Project Red’s massive open-world RPG is, well, overflowing with comical glitches right now, making much of the internet nostalgic for Oblivion, which cultivated its share of hilarious glitchy memes back in the day. Over on The Elder Scrolls subreddit, fans are having a field day at Cyberpunk 2077’s expense. Taking popular meme formats and shaping them into hilarious comparisons between Bethesda’s 14-year-old RPG and what was touted as the next big step for the genre....

Bye Bye Birdie: Three Fields Entertainment releases a video of its upcoming explosive arcade title, Dangerous Golf, which lets players reap explosive havoc. The demographic of people who love destroying things and those who enjoy golfing may be an unknown quantity, but Three Fields Entertainment is hoping to grab their attention with its latest video for Dangerous Golf. The developer announced the title just three short months ago, but had refrained from releasing any significant video footage of the game until now....

“I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists.” That’s the shocking answer Daniel Craig gave to Time Out when asked about doing another James Bond movie. While certainly extreme, such an answer isn’t too much of a surprise today. After all, Craig played Bond in five movies over 15 years, with his take culminating with the most definitive of endings in the last entry, No Time to Die. But that exchange with Time Out did not happen in 2022, or even 2021....

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was an innovator on many fronts. Not only did it bring the beloved series into the 3D world for the first time, but it also created gameplay mechanics which have been reused and imitated in many other games since. One element which is not mentioned as much is Nintendo’s experimentation with deeper storytelling. Before Ocarina of Time, the series limited its plot to minimal in-game dialogue or relegated it to the instruction manual....
