Fans of CD Projekt Red are currently struggling with the announcement of yet another delay for Cyberpunk 2077. The open-world RPG was delayed an additional two months, from September to November this past week. The wait for Cyberpunk 2077 has already been intolerable and now it’ll last that much longer, but CD Projekt Red is doing what it can to make the wait a little less painful, as this week there will be a special Night City Wire presentation....

Although CD Projekt Red has been mostly silent on the status of Cyberpunk 2077 since its delay back in January, a financial report has given fans more insight about its status. In the report, CD Projekt Red claims that it is “carrying out the final stages of development” for the game. Cyberpunk 2077 is slated for a September release, and given this news, it seems as though things are on track....

Danganronpa is a series full of twists and jaw-dropping moments, but none set an emotional bomb in the fandom quite like V3. FromSoftware fans have raised nearly $5 million for Steamforged’s board game adaptation of the Dark Souls series as of today’s end to the Kickstarter campaign. Dark Souls 3 is proving to be incredibly popular, even in board game form, as the final day of the title’s tabletop adaptation Kickstarter arrives. With an initial goal of just under $71,000, fans of FromSoftware’s notoriously difficult game have raised almost $5 million with 5 hours left on the campaign at the time of this article’s writing....

Despite Xbox Series X being a more powerful machine - and one that’s focused on backwards compatibility - the PS5 runs some older games better. One such game is Dark Souls 3. According to modder and YouTuber Lance McDonald, he’s tested the game on both PS5 and Xbox Series X. Dark Souls 3 manages to hit 60fps on PS5, but it’s locked at 30fps on Xbox Series X. Maybe it’ll get a patch, but there’s no way to get beyond that in its current form....

It’s been a busy week for Hideo Kojima and his studio as it celebrates a five year anniversary. To celebrate, Kojima Productions released a short video thanking its passionate fanbase and showing a cinematic collage of each one of its employees. The studio also released new merchandise in celebration of its anniversary as well as new wallpaper fans can decorate their computer backgrounds with featuring the studio’s mascot Ludens. However, the announcements apparently weren’t done there as Kojima Productions revealed even more Death Stranding content....

There’s a lot of anticipation around Deathloop, if only to find out a bit more about it. While a lot has been revealed about the game, it’s clear that the only way to tell for sure how good it is will be to play it, as with any game. With the Deathloop’s release date officially announced, players must chew on their anticipation a while longer. There are definite signs of ambition in Deathloop, which is a good sign for a mind-bending FPS....

Though the levels in Demon’s Souls only get harder as players progress through the game, the first level puts players at a distinct disadvantage in a number of ways. For starters, they can’t level up and spend souls, meaning losing thousands of souls is a very real possibility. They are also locked in soul form, capped out at 50% health. Like other games in the franchise, souls are a vital part of a character’s growth in Demon’s Souls....

Bungie further explains its reasoning behind excluding Destiny’s Rise of Iron from last-gen consoles, and says a PC port for the game hasn’t been ruled out. Although E3 2016 is winding down, Bungie director Christopher Barrett spoke to the press outlet GameSpot during the event about how the developer plans on supporting Destiny on last-gen consoles, and further explained why its forthcoming expansion Rise of Iron is only going to be on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One....
