Players who jump into Forsaken, Destiny 2’s fall expansion, will have a new game mode to tangle with called Gambit. Previously, developer Bungie has said that this new hybrid mode that mashes together the PvE and PvP sides of Destiny 2 will be its own game mode with its own node on the Director; it won’t be a part of the Crucible. It looks like that fact will also preclude Gambit from having the option to create private matches....
Destiny 2 players first encountered the massive spaceship called The Almighty, crown jewel of the Red Legion, during the Red War campaign in vanilla Destiny 2. It was too big to take over or destroy, thus, its main weapon was merely disabled to halt the threat. According to Sloane, The Almighty is deployed on systems that refuse to submit to the Red Legion. The ship essentially forces a star to go supernova and razes the entire system in the process....
The Black Armory opened for business earlier this week, giving guardians a whole new selection of gear to pursue. Unfortunately, with each update, Destiny 2’s exotic merchant becomes more and more obsolete. After disappointing many with his inventory that included a number of duplicate items from the previous week, fans have begun to wonder when his stock will be refreshed with new items. While the year one exotics with customized rolls are nice, most players have already found these items....
Since the game’s generally positive launch in September 2017, Destiny 2 has found itself the target of more ire than praise. It seems that Bungie has taken notice of this, as Christopher Barrett - a game director at Bungie - has stated that he will address the future of Destiny 2 in a discussion on Thursday, January 11. Bungie and Activision have come under fire for all manner of Destiny 2 problems since launch, including bugs and glitches, the locking of pre-existing content behind expansions like Curse of Osiris, and the large quantities of items that are gated behind microtransaction paywalls....
While most players would agree that the Forsaken expansion really managed to fix many of the core issues of Destiny 2, it didn’t solve everything. In fact, player complaints seemed to center on the scarcity of Masterwork Cores, a resource needed to infuse armor and weapons to higher power level tiers. While the name of these items was later changed to Enhancement Cores, their function and scarcity remained much to the chagrin of the community....
Forsaken has been a huge hit with Destiny 2 fans, bringing the depth and content that they have been hoping for since the game’s original launch last year. There has been a lot of praise given to the Forsaken expansion, but one of the few major complaints about the expansion is centered around Masterwork Cores; in particular, their place as a consumable in the Infusion process and the overall scarcity of the material in the game’s second year....
Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen is halfway done. With its final major seasonal story beat - Proving Ground strike - out now, the only thing left in this season is the Guardian Games 2021 event. MapleStory is one of the more successful and longest-running massively-multiplayer-online games currently available. South Korean developer of the game Wizet has joined up with BTS, the popular Korean boy band, for a collaboration of sorts for MapleStory. I’ve been lucky enough to try both of the most powerful next-gen consoles - PS5 and Xbox Series X. Each has its own benefits and there’s no clear winner in the console war for next-gen superiority. In comparison tests, the two consoles are basically neck and neck on performance. PS5 has the incredible DualSense controller and launch exclusives, Xbox has Quick Resume, Game Pass, and Smart Delivery. While the 3D audio and visuals of the Demon’s Souls remake impressed me, and I was a big fan of console ray tracing in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, next-gen has lacked the wow factor compared to previous generations....

A Dark Souls 3 player is attempting to beat the game’s bosses using bananas as controllers. This is not the first time that fans of the famously difficult game have attempted to play it using unorthodox methods as the same player managed to beat the game using Donkey Kong bongos only. The bizarre method of play was pulled off by Twitch streamer TheSuperScrubs and documented on Twitter. The fruity controller schemes uses the Makey Makey system and 10 bananas in total, with each one standing in for a mouse or keyboard input (including the WASD keyboard keys, the left and right mouse clicks and the rolling wheel)....
