In Destiny 2 Beyond Light, the Hunter is arguably the best class in the game. With the stasis subclass, Hunters are able to obliterate entire teams by shattering guardians trapped in a glacier grenade. Even after the update, the stasis hunter is incredible in both PVP and PVE. The hunter’s increased popularity over the past few months means that there are a lot of people that have made the switch to the class....

Swords have been in a really good spot in Destiny 2 for a while now. If you want a boss dead quick, a sword is your fastest avenue to victory. Fallen Guillotine used to be the best sword around, but there’s a new kid in town. The Lament is quite possibly the highest DPS weapon in Destiny 2: Beyond Light at the moment, so you should really get your hands on it....
This week, Destiny 2 unlocked its second secret exotic weapon quest, which led players through the old Tower and to the Outbreak Perfected pulse rifle. Those that played Destiny 1 will recognize the weapon as a D2 version of Outbreak Prime, the exotic included with Rise of Iron’s Wrath of the Machine raid. For the most part, Outbreak Perfected functions similar to Outbreak Prime, sending out SIVA nanites that do extra damage to the target, but the D2 version also increases damage the longer players fire at a SIVA “infected” target....
Destiny PvP players will be pleased to find that today’s new Destiny 2 reveal includes the unveiling of a new Crucible map by the name of Vostok. Destiny PvE players will be pleased to hear that Vostok officially takes place within the same area as the Rise of Iron social area. High atop Felwinter Peak, across from the Iron Temple, lies the Vostok Observatory. It’s here that players will do battle in Destiny 2’s Crucible, a layered reminder of the past....
Bungie may have already revealed the expansion pass for Destiny 2, but the developer is still continuing to tease the game’s post-launch plans. The developer hopes to make the game’s post-launch content “really rewarding” for players. In a new interview, Destiny 2’s PC lead David Shaw explained that Bungie has been working on the game’s post-launch content since before launch. This is a “fundamental thing” that it will “always” do in order to make its life easier....
One of Destiny 2’s greatest secrets is surely its first raid, which has been shrouded in mystery since the reveal of the game. But the game’s director, Luke Smith, has offered up a tidbit of information about the first raid that will come to Destiny 2. Smith explains that every raid has a theme, or “heartbeat” as he calls it. The raid team at Bungie is looking to put the player into a specific scenario to receive a distinct experience....
In Destiny 2, Arcstrider Hunters are often seen as the best subclass for clearing waves of enemies due to their Raiden Flux exotic chest piece. Raiden Flux allows Hunters to extend their Arcstaff when hitting enemies during their super. However, it seems that Arcstriders have some stiff competition now, as Sentinel Titans can do the same exact thing – or perhaps better. One Destiny 2 player discovered that Sentinels can essentially use their super forever if adds keep spawning....
This week, Destiny 2 developer Bungie brought back its Three of Coins consumable in an effort to increase exotic drops for players. However, after a few days with the consumable, many seem to believe Three of Coins is either bugged or its effect is not working properly. In Destiny 1, Three of Coins was something of a mystery. When it first launched, Bungie did not predict the farming methods players would come up with, but eventually the developers settled on a general cooldown for the consumable’s use....
The Proving Grounds strike is finally available this week in Destiny 2. Guardians will infiltrate the massive Cabal fortress on Nessus to eliminate most of Caiatl’s War Council, ending the “Challenger’s Proving” questline tied to this season. Of course, a new batch of Seasonal Challenge are available as well. Challenges tied to the new strike, final story quest, and earning Valor ranks in the Crucible are what you can expect. Unlike the Gambit weekly from two weeks ago, earning Valor ranks should be much less tedious....
With the release of Destiny 2’s Curse of Osiris expansion, an accompanying game update has made adjustments to the rewards gained by doing public events. Since launch, public events have been arguably one the best ways to rank up quickly and earn a lot of rewards, including Exotic Engrams. But this update nerfs numerous rewards gained, while buffing the drop rates of one higher tier reward. The changes to Destiny 2’s public events are all targeted at bringing the rewards in line with the game’s other activities....
Bungie announces the controversial decision to introduce a new microtransaction currency to Destiny called Silver, which will be added in next week’s update. Starting next week, Destiny will have microtransactions, according to Bungie’s official announcement (though they never use the word “microtransaction”) on their website. These microtransactions will be completely optional, and they will be accessible through Tess Everis - who was previously removed from the game - and her Eververse Trading Company....

There is a large amount of PlayStation exclusives that have put themselves among the best that gaming has to offer. There are a few, however, that fly under the radar upon their release. Among them is Concrete Genie, an action-adventure game about a boy named Ash who looks to clean up the town of Denska one drawing at a time. The game is mechanically not like other games, as the goal is to bring the town back to life with the help of creatures called “genies” that come to life as Ash draws them....
The PS5 went on sale last week, and as expected, it was extremely difficult to buy one if you hadn’t already pre-ordered. If you didn’t, retail stock was depleted quickly, leaving the only avenue to next-gen ownership in the hands of scalpers. Those same scalpers are sometimes charging more than double the price for a PS5, which is sure to angry any self-respecting gamer. One or more of those gamers in Toronto, Canada apparently got angry enough to actually start robbing scalpers....
