Arkane Lyon’s upcoming FPS Deathloop has a one-of-a-kind multiplayer mode that pulls heavily from The Crossing, a canceled Arkane Studios game announced in 2007. First announced at Bethesda’s E3 2019 press conference, Deathloop premiered it’s first gameplay trailer during the PS5 reveal presentation this week. The titular Deathloop refers to an Edge of Tomorrow-style time loop that has trapped the entire island of Blackreef in an endless manhunt. Their target: Colt, a supernatural assassin and former leader of the bizarre island community that now hunts him for sport....
This week Destiny kicked off the launch of Age of Triumph with the promise of new vendors, a massive record book, and the most exciting element, refreshed raids. This week’s featured raid is Crota’s End, and unlike in Year 1, Destiny’s second ever raid now features two Challenge Modes: one for Ir Yut, the Deathsinger and one for Crota. For Destiny 2 players who want to take on a greater challenge, Bungie has included harder difficulty versions of some in-game activities. For example, players can take on the Prestige version of the Leviathan Raid and there are Heroic Public Events too. In addition to the Prestige Raid, it seems that Destiny 2 also includes Prestige Lost Sectors. Normal Lost Sectors are just hidden away caverns or areas that contain a tough opponent and a chest with just a handful of items....
Destiny 2 hasn’t been in the best place lately when it comes to fresh content. The general consensus seems to be that the current Season of the Worthy hasn’t done much to maintain interest, leading to more players ditching the game. Destiny 2 is getting a new raid in its seventh season, Season of Opulence. And for the first time in the franchise, the raid will launch the same day as Season 7, giving players very little time to gear and level up before jumping into the endgame PvE activity. The new raid, which will be available to players who paid for Destiny 2’s Annual Pass, is called Crown of Sorrow. Outside of the name, nothing is known about where this raid might take place in Destiny 2, although the few shots shown in trailers have been set aboard the Leviathan....
At TwitchCon this weekend, developer Bungie held a panel called “The Seasons of Destiny” during which Bungie shared its vision for how seasons will work in Destiny 2, plus previewed some details about what players can expect in Season 2. First off, Bungie revealed that Destiny 2 will have four seasons over the course of its first year. Season 2 is expected to begin in December, and following that cadence it’s probably safe to assume that a new season will kick off every three months or so....

CD Projekt Red’s next big role-playing adventure game, Cyberpunk 2077, is already making waves at Gamescom this week, with new screenshots released to further show off their fancy futuristic setting. However, the title has also recently generated some negative press following a controversial Tweet from the official Twitter account. A college student has used his powers for good by turning his profits into video game donations for a children’s hospital. 20-year-old Hunter Kahn is a mechanical engineering student at Cornell University in New York, and he hit a jackpot thanks to GameStop.
