Just yesterday, Activision held its Q2 2018 investor call to discuss its future releases and the past quarter, but the company left Destiny 2 out of the discussion when it came to talking about accomplishments during the period, implying that the sequel didn’t meet financial expectations. While those who paid full price for the title during its release back in October of last year failed to give the game enough of a monetary push to be mentioned in Activision’s Q2 2018 earnings call, fans who have been holding out to get Bungie’s science fiction shooter on the cheap are now being offered the best price yet to give it a go....

Although Destiny 2 players expected today’s live event to start around 4pm PT, it appears that some technical issues have delayed its activation. Connection errors and long queue times are standing in the way of players even logging into Destiny 2, let alone seeing what Bungie has prepared for the end of Season of Arrivals. Bungie has acknowledged that there are issues and the developers are working on a fix (or fixes)....

Although the delay of the Beyond Light expansion might have extended things, many Destiny 2 players believe that next week is going to be a big one for the community. If the math is correct, the Interference Mission will deliver its final lore piece from Eris, which could include a change of scenery, if not more. As the 15th iteration of the Interference Mission, the expectation is that there will be some form of closure to the Tree of Silver Wings storyline....

Back during Destiny 1, Datto and his friends would attempt self-imposed challenges like beating the raid using specific weapons or only using specific subclasses. There always exists a handful of titles that we wish had come to fruition, but were lost due to copyright battles, creative differences, or marketing troubles. The latest series that seems to be missing the next-gen ship is Onimusha, the action-adventure hack and slash whose shurikens will apparently fly no more. After a seven year hiatus, Capcom made the series’ presence known again with the 2019 remaster of Onimusha: Warlords. In fact, the publisher appeared to be teasing its continued development, with whispers of a new addition on the horizon....

The New York Game Awards recently wrapped up with Hades taking home game of the year (unsurprisingly). The biggest gaming event in New York was livestreamed to thousands of viewers on YouTube and Twitch on Tuesday, along with several celebrity interviews. One of those celebs was Xbox head Phil Spencer, who came on the line to donate a brand new Xbox Series X and auction it off for charity. To sweeten the deal, Spencer even signed it with a sharpie to give a little extra class, and then carefully placed it back inside its original packaging....

Developers Studio MDHR release an official statement that explains the latest delay for the highly anticipated indie platformer Cuphead on PC and Xbox One. Every year since 2014, the indie darling game Cuphead has had a presence at Microsoft’s E3 press conferences. The game, which infuses classic platforming gameplay with 1930s-style cartoon visuals, seems to be a project that Microsoft has confidence in. Unfortunately, PC and Xbox platforming fans are going to have to wait even longer to see what Microsoft is so excited about, as Cuphead has been delayed yet again, this time to 2017....

Cyberpunk 2077 hotfix 1.06 is now available on Google Stadia, several weeks after launching for PC and console. Google Stadia is arguably the best way to experience CD Projekt Red’s latest title, and it’s great to see the patch finally make its way to the service.
