It wouldn’t be Call of Duty multiplayer without the presence of SMGs, even in the rare chance they’re not considered top-tier. Considering the popularity of Call of Duty multiplayer was built on hectic close quarters combat, it’s understandable that some of the best weapons in all of the games are SMGs. Last week, Remedy unveiled that Control’s first DLC expansion titled The Foundation would be releasing on March 26, 2020. When the content was initially revealed back in 2019, there was mention of PS4 exclusivity that suddenly disappeared. As it turns out, that exclusivity is still in effect. After releasing a trailer that better details this specific add-on, Remedy confirmed that The Foundation will be available only for PC and PS4 players on March 26....

Decades old and over a dozen games under their name, Crash Bandicoot amassed quite the number of story references to harken back to. Cheekily sprinkled from throughout the series, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time hides plenty of Easter eggs in the game. And considering that this fourth installment of the main storyline only really follows up from Crash Bandicoot: Warped, players don’t have to have played the first two decades of the game....

Cry Macho is the 39th feature film directed by Clint Eastwood, coming almost exactly 50 years after he made his directorial debut in 1971 with Play Misty for Me. It’s also Eastwood’s first time onscreen since 2018’s The Mule, which he also directed; he did not appear in his last effort behind the camera, 2019’s Richard Jewell. We mention all this simply because those last two films were far superior to this one, so it’s difficult to say if Cry Macho represents a decline in the 91-year-old filmmaker’s abilities or is just a more casually produced effort than those last efforts....

The most recent delay for Cyberpunk 2077 saw the game pushed to December to help ensure for a polished experience come launch, and fans now have an idea of how polished CD Projekt Red wants the game to be. The studio has revealed that they expect Cyberpunk 2077 to reach 90 or above on Metacritic, a challenging goal to achieve for even the most talented teams. In the same conference call where the studio revealed that current-gen consoles are the reason for Cyberpunk 2077’s delay, CD Projekt Red board member and publishing leader Michael Nowakowski shared the goal with the public....

Dark Souls 3 was the third and presumably final release in the worldwide phenomenon that was the Dark Souls trilogy. It may seem like just three games, but these titles helped morph FromSoftware from a respected Japanese game developer into one of the most awarded and critically well-received groups of creatives on the planet. Dark Souls 3 has a reputation for being a brutally difficult game and for many players, simply beating the game’s final boss, the Soul of Cinder is a tremendous accomplishment. Darksiders Genesis is currently available on Game Pass, so while some may be put off by such a change for the series, it’s worth checking out. Censorship in video games is a hot button topic. The practice can take many forms, and be done for a number of different reasons. Most often the conversation is about how Japanese games are censored for their release in Western markets, but recently there has been an uptick in chatter about censorship practices in Japan. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla released in Japan with depictions of bloodshed removed. Although this week was initially supposed to be an exciting one for Destiny players thanks to the announcement of the House of Wolves expansion’s release date, it was anything but.
