The Coalition is set to bring fans on a nostalgic journey with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, a complete remastering of the original Gears of War title that spawned one of Microsoft’s biggest gaming franchises. The game is slated for release this August, but it looks like Microsoft has even more plans for the HD remake - it’ll be included as a free bonus in Xbox One console bundles as the holiday season approaches....

Esports organization Faze Clan has suspended three members and permanently removed one over a case of cryptocurrency fraud. The organization put out a statement via its Twitter account informing audiences about the suspensions and distancing itself from the scenario. “We have made the decision to remove Kay from Faze Clan, and have suspended Jarvis, Nikan, and Teeqo until further notice,” reads the statement. “Faze clan had absolutely no involvement with our members’ activity in the cryptocurrency space, and we strongly condemn their recent behaviour....

Following a new game announcement tease for the Oculus Rift yesterday, Crytek comes forward and reveals their virtual reality rock climbing game, The Climb. Oculus is building up to an eventual announcement regarding the Oculus Rift VR headset’s price and release date, albeit slowly. Yesterday the hardware producer teased the announcement of a big new “big” Oculus Rift exclusive title to be made today, and it looks like developer Crytek is the one behind it....

Quickhacks are perhaps the most useful and powerful tools at the player’s disposal in Cyberpunk 2077. The better Quickhacks take a lot of RAM and a strong Cyberdeck, but it’s a solid way to make the player more capable in and out of combat in this RPG. Yet it takes quite a bit of time and grinding to get to the point to craft the more advanced Quickhacks so knowing which are best is important....

There are some enticing and flashy choices, but many gamers have decided that the monowire is the best choice because it fulfills a function that no other weapon or cybernetic can fill. Cyberpunk 2077 won’t allow players to attack children or NPCs for the fun of it or any reason at all, CD Projekt Red has confirmed. Gameplay scenes from the upcoming title have shown that things could get wildly violent from time to time but the devs have drawn a line and two groups of characters will be exempt from attacks from players throughout. Nintendo is ramping up its Game Trials program on Nintendo Switch Online with more third-party titles, as Dead Cells will be available for one week to subscribers in Europe and the UK. Dead Cells is a Metroidvania/roguelike game, where the player must escape an ever-changing dungeon while collecting new gear along the way. The game keeps receiving new content, with the new Fatal Falls paid expansion set to launch on January 26....

The Dead Rising franchise is a mish-mash of tons of different references. That’s not a bad thing at all, by the way. It’s a fantastic series of games, but there’s no doubt that they’re all at least 50% references or homages to other games, films, or TV shows. For example, the whole concept of toughing out a zombie outbreak in a mall was sort of pioneered by Dawn of the Dead....

With Destiny set to have the Wrath of the Machine raid go live tomorrow in the game’s Age of Triumph event, it seems as if Bungie has already made the raid’s XV2 Replicator Sparrow available ahead of the raid’s availability. Originally released in the Rise of Iron expansion in the action-RPG’s Year 3, the Legendary Sparrow looks to be obtainable now. As seen below in the video from the YouTuber known as Nicholas Whiting, the player’s Guardian takes it on a joyride throughout Lord’s Watch in the Plaguelands at Old Russia, Earth almost as soon as he spawns into the area....

Destiny 2’s Iron Banner launched this week and gave players a new PvP activity, and the arrival of the new feature also introduced a brand new map. However, this is not the only thing that the Iron Banner has introduced, as players have now discovered a new Easter egg. Xur remains the best way to not only complete exotic collections but also to get quick access to some of the new Warmind gear in exchange for some spare Legendary Shards. With the start of the Season of the Drifter a few days ago, players suddenly have an influx of content and things to do within Destiny 2. Alongside new modes like Gambit Prime and Reckoning, players have new loot to chase, pinnacle weapons to earn, and exotic quests to take part in. One of the bigger changes for this season, however, is with Xur, as Bungie works to make him more relevant again....

Thankfully, the Year 1 Fated Engram has once again returned, seemingly confirming that the first weekend when it was missing was an unfortunate glitch. Xbox and PC players still looking for the formerly PlayStation exclusive Borealis sniper rifle again have another shot. Thankfully, Xur has seemingly corrected many of his glitches and inventory issues and isn’t offering any items already offered int he previous weeks....
