Originally developed in 2014 to serve as an additional form of digital rights management, it quickly gained infamy as reports of in-game performance issues (and all sorts of ancillary problems) began to spread....

MacFarlane Toys unveils a life-sized replica of the Iron Gjallarhorn from Destiny, perfect for cosplayers and collectors, which will come out later this year. Bungie and MacFarlane Toys recently announced an official partnership in bringing some Destiny action figures to market. At the New York Toy Fair, MacFarlane Toys showed off the Titan, Hunter, and Warlock figures that had been previously announced, but also surprised attendees with another Destiny item: a full-size Iron Gjallarhorn....

Bungie and Activision announce a new Destiny bundle called Destiny: The Collection, which contains Destiny and all of its existing expansions in one package. That listing was confirmed to be legitimate today as Bungie and Activision have officially revealed Destiny: The Collection, which contains Destiny, The Dark Below, House of Wolves, The Taken King, and Rise of Iron. After launching the Beyond Light expansion at the tail end of 2020, Bungie is preparing to move on to Season 13 in Destiny 2. Season of the Hunt arrived alongside the icy campaign of Beyond Light, taking players to the Tangled Shore to work alongside the former foe, now ally Crow. Along the way, players acquired the former Destiny 1 exotic hand cannon, Hawkmoon, though what made this gun standout was the fact that players would be able to farm the gun for different perks....

Destiny 2’s Season of Opulence Vanguard Pinnacle weapon is the Wendigo GL3 Grenade Launcher, which is obtained by completing Zavala’s A Gift for the Worthy quest. It requires players to get 500 multi-kills and 1,500 final blows with a grenade launcher, and players also have to accumulate a certain amount of “points” by defeating enemies. Grenade Launcher final blows give the most progress to these points, but death can undo what had been accumulated just before....

Umbral Engrams made their Destiny 2 return during Season of the Chosen, and luckily, the system will be sticking around throughout Season of the Splicer. While fans are beginning to wonder what’s next, Bungie details a pretty big update that’s coming to the game once The Revelry is over. Destiny 2: Forsaken is bringing a ton of new activities for players to take on, including the new PvPvE game mode Gambit. Players who attended E3 or GuardianCon have had some hands-on experience with this exciting mode, and today Bungie detailed how rewards and progression will work with the new Gambit game mode. It seems that Gambit will work similar to Valor Rank for Crucible in the sense that Destiny 2 players will earn points as they play the game mode and work toward Legend rank in Infamy – the new ranking system for Gambit....

The Destiny 2 raid is supposed to be hard, the highest mountain Bungie can offer players to climb. The Leviathan raid lair is no different, as can be seen by a recommended team of six all with light levels of 300. Yet despite this, Destiny 2 players are always looking for a challenge and one fireteam definitely takes it to new heights, defeating the Eater of Worlds boss with only two Guardians....

Last week, Destiny 2’s developer Bungie explained that the design philosophy behind Escalation Protocol, the new endgame horde mode added to the game in the Warmind DLC, was that it should be able to be completed by a three-player fireteam at a high Power level. They were responding to fans’ calls for large group matchmaking for the mode, because players have been resorting to tricking the game to match up to nine players into the same instance....

Today brings the return of Iron Banner, the long-awaited changes to the Destiny Companion App that allows you to finally purchase bounties from anywhere in the system, and for next-gen consoles, the upgrade that brings 4K, 60fps gameplay. Bungie’s newest revamping of Destiny 2 is almost here, with the upcoming Beyond Light expansion launching on November 10th to offer one of most substantial changes to the series since Taken King. However, as the next set of DLC still has its secrets, one player thinks they may have found evidence of some of the armor coming to Beyond Light within some of Bungie’s previous promotional material. Bungie drops the hammer on players suspected of repeatedly cheating in Destiny, issuing bans for entire consoles instead of just the player’s online account. Some of today’s most beloved video games require an online connection as part of the core experience. For the second year in a row, Destiny fans have donated some serious cash to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. At the end of a non-stop, week-long streaming marathon, the GuardianCon stream brought in $1.2 million, which will be donated to St. Jude to go towards helping the fight against childhood cancer. GuardianCon is the fan-organized Destiny community convention that had its inaugural event last year in Tampa, Florida. Back then it was called Destiny Community Con, but its organizers quickly changed it to avoid any legal issues that could arise from the use of the name Destiny....

The sales records of the company’s first-quarter are in and are extremely impressive, to say the least. CD Projekt Red now has two established IPs to its name, with the recently released Cyberpunk 2077 and its acclaimed The Witcher series. Now that its third deadline has been met - to launch Cyberpunk 2077 before year end - the Polish developer can now return its attention to The Witcher’s new chapter. In an interview with Polish publication Parkiet, CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kiciński emphasized that “the first three ‘Witchers’ were by definition a trilogy, so we simply could not name the next game ‘The Witcher 4’"....
